Great place to stay, hanged out here for a week the staff were amazing, very professional ran place with a mix of amazing locals fluent in English with some cool volunteers that worked behind the bar keeping you happy. Honestly highly recommend this place to chill or base your self for the amazing surf spots around San Juan del sur

I had a good few days here and met some good people. Great location on a quiet street, with a decent little terrace to catch a breeze. Staff are constantly cleaning the place. Yes, the rooms can get hot, but dorm beds have individual fans, power outlets and good sized lockers. Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook. They provide coffee in the morning. Swimming pool is a big plus and Nigel at the bar is a legend. I'd stay here again.

Love the pool! There are activities every day you can do. The hostel has shuttle service and surf rentals! 11/10 great place to stay. The bar is awesome and the location is perfect. It’s a short walk to the beach, the markets, and the restaurants. The people I’ve met at Surf Town Hostel have been lovely. ALSO, get a chance to put your country on the beer pong hall fame board! 😂

Came here for Sunday Funday, great hostel with good vibes, comfy dorms, well equipped kitchen, swimming pool and a cool terrace Shout out to María, the incredibly cute and helpful local girl at the reception who speaks perfect English and who contributed greatly to making the stay such a pleasant one

The reason I'm leaving a bad review is because of the mosquitoes. Zero eford was made to prevent mosquitoes getting into the dorms. Me and my friends stayed there for two nights and woke up with atleast 20 mosquitoes around us. I've count 30+ bites which I'm sure we got from there.no nets were proved and one of the windows was missing. Which is a shame as everything else was good about the hostel . Definitely room for improvement.

Loved my stay at Surf Town Hostel! It is a very social, well organized hostel and the staff speaks good English which is always nice. They organize many things at night but they always make sure to respect the quiet hours after 11pm. Also, the location is convenient as it is really close to everything!! Would definitely recommend!

Great fun hostel. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Nice pool and the free coffee in the morning is a plus. I enjoyed my stay here so much so that I went back for a second time.

First of all it was a very nice location with great outdoor area, lots of places to hang! However, during my stay there wasn't any water for like 3 days which could get a bit frustating at the end. Lastly, some of the pans are highly unsafe since the place to put your hands while cooking gets as hot as the pan itself which made me burn my hand. So be careful with that. I will end with a nice note, the drinks were cheap and the kitchen itself was really nice! And tip: you have to sign up for the activities otherwise nothing happens!

Owner is awesome so are all the staff. Clean hostel, always something going on at night. (Except for sunday's) if you're looking for a good time stay here

Chill vibes when you want and solid parry when you want. Clean affordable and good pool. Close enough to the main strip and not too close for loud music.
