This review is for the roof! It’s 105C per person and if you get lucky, you can get up during sunrise (5.10-5.50). We enjoyed the beautiful views over Leon and the volcanoes around. It’s a really interesting place with all the white colours and the sunrise made it just so pretty!

The rooftop of this place is really really beautiful, I definitely recommend going to catch the sunset, you can go up like at 4:40 and spend an hour there. You can take really nice photos with all the white domes The ticket shall be bought at the back of the cathedral

We were blessed with a slightly overcast day in December, which makes much better photos. I think they might pressure-wash the top of the church every now and then, because photos I've seen look much whiter. However, the dark spots on the roof just added to the photogenic quality. The inside is very beautiful too, with several large oil paintings and a pretty altar. We paid USD $2, I think, to go to the roof.

Tickets to get to the roof are cheap, you can buy them in the back of the church (only cash) and access via a lateral entrance. You’re asked to remove your shoes before accessing the white surface.

It costs 107C to enter, and you can walk to the roof. It’s very white out there and it looks nice. You can see the volcanos from here.

One of the top sightseeing in León. get sure to have sun protection when you go up there, because the white roof reflects the hot sun. very good few over the city and landscape.

You cannot miss the most popular icon of León, if you go to León and do not go up to appreciate the view from the cathedral it is as if you have not been to León, be sure to visit it, and spend a while for the wonderful architectural art. Recommended!

Every visitor would visit the Cathedral in Leon. It is the largest in central America. Both inside and outside is beautiful. Buy a ticket at C$90 and you can go to the roof top to see the city and the surrounding volcanos.

Unique experience, walking along the rooftop of this ancient cathedral. Having walked the roof of the Vatican (Rome) or Duomo De Milano (Milan), I am not going to compare. But the peace and solitude of this very locale, cuddled by a very mellow and serene village surrounded by ancient volcanoes can be quite unique! After removing your shoes, you are allowed to survey the vast countryside via the most prominent local in Leon. Nicaragua is a humble, straightened country, and this is a peaceable local.

You can visit church for free, but you need to pay $3 to get to the roof. It's a bit confusing to find the ticket counter. One gentleman help me to find the place. It's around the corner, there is small hole on the wall where you can see a person sitting on the chair. You pay him a fee and go upstairs. :)

Climb to the roof, there is an east side entrance by the large market to buy a ticket then go north and then west to a small door where they will punch your ticket and you are free to explore the rooftop. Beautiful cathedral

For about three USD you can climb up to the roof and enjoy a beautiful view! Great for taking pictures etc.

Buy your tickets to go up on the roof from around the back of the cathedral - it’s not amazingly well signposted. Then enter the side door to go upstairs. Once up you can explore the roof tops, with views out over Leon in all directions, with the volcanoes visible in the distance.

Go onto the rooftop, it's amazing with the sunset!!
