Decided to give italian a try in Managua tonight and after reading a few reviews we chose Tonelli's. Once we were seated we were given a welcome drink with a few tasty bruschettas. We then ordered the prosciutto platter which turned out to be really good. My friend ordered the seabass in white wine sauce and I ordered the Linguine Vongole. Both were awesome. Dessert was offered with a digestive and an espresso. It felt weird getting all these freebies. As we were leaving the whole family were waiting at the door to say goodbye. My friend was amazed at how we were treated. An incredible experience. Don't be fooled by the establishment, this is about the food and the service. And i was not asked to write a review by management.

Wow, best spot in Managua, Italian or otherwise. Emillo was an excellent server that spoke English well. Food was delicious and they give plenty of free little treats.

By far the Best Italian food service in town! Very warm staff from start to end of our lunch service. Chef and owner made sure we get the best service! Appetizers was great! I had far the best experience here in Nicaragua among all the restaurant I have tried. As I am also hospitality professional, I am expert in providing excellent service to my guests. The welcome was warm and sincere, its one thing that we got complimentary welcome drink and appetizers. However, what I find more important is the knowledge and expertise of the staff. Emilio - our waiter- has provided description about the dishes that we were served with and the wine. He was also confident in recommending how we should have our risotto: the parmesan risotto with a bolognese touch was just on point. Not to mention -as I used to live in Florence, Italy- the dishes that we had were absolutely up to Italian standards. Special thanks to the owner who welcomed us personally just made the atmosphere even more delightful.

Service was above and beyond. Food was delicious. I like the feeling of being in my grandmothers kitchen. Highly recommend

We had an amazing experience here! The service and food are top of the line ☺️ we were served lots of complimentary bread, flat bread pizza, and even a postre for our friends birthday! We all had very different dishes and loved every single one of them. Please try this authentic Italian place when you are in Managua! You won’t be disappointed

This place was AMAZING! The food is phenomenal! The sangria was the best I’ve ever had and the service was top notch! They pay attention to detail and care about your experience! There are also a couple English speaking employees :) You won’t go wrong with this Italian restaurant! And their bread appetizer is mind blowing! So good! 5/5 will be back for more!

This was the best food and service we have had anywhere in Central America! (We have around 6 months in various cou tires so far). Prompt and courteous, English spoken if needed, chef provides lots of little "on the house" treats. Amazing red sauce! Quality real Italian ingredients and recipes executed well. So good- and so much food!

I ordered ravioli cheese filled w pumpkin sauce. Add some balsamic vin to it! So delish.. just like the previous menu option had. Boyfriend had the gnocchi gongzola. Both entrees were so good they served with warm fresh bread and in top of that flat bread with nice pesto on it prior to try I assume? And a mini chocolate cake at the end with amaretto shot which was smooth. Just so excited we found this place. True italian dining and quality! I should have took a picture but we just ate it before I could. Forgot to mention complimentary wine taste in the beginning. What a pleasureful dining experience!

The best service in the world. It is like every employee, including the owner, is dedicated to taking care of you. And a great selection of menu choices. A free glass of wine, just for setting down, fresh bread etc, a few samples of pizza, a great meal, deserts, and an after dinner drink. Pamper yourself. Life is short.

The best italian restaurant in the city, it’s an experience, from the moment you walk in until you leave they pay attention to every little detail. Service was excellent and the owner went above and beyond, our food was delicious. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely come back.

Top notch service. Above and beyond hospitality from the owner and staff. The food is delicious. They have an extensive menu, but can also prepare the pasta to your liking. I ordered their lasagna and they offered it with special garlic shrimp on top, sounded a bit weird on a Bolognese lasagna but it was incredible. Prices are a bit on the higher end than usual restaurants in the area but is well worth it.
