Don’t miss this place, even if it looks closed. We had their pitas and they were super tasty and healthy, and very fair prices.

This place is the real deal! We went three days in a row. Only managed to take photos of the last day unfortunately. BBQ pulled pork sandwich, Classic Rueben, BBQ pork pita with homemade spicy tomato relish and slow cooked beef quesadillas were our favourites. The owners are also incredibly friendly and the setting is great too. Definitely give this place a crack!

Food was extremely delicious. Price ranges from 160 for salads up until the more expensive plates of the week of around 250. I had a pulled pork sandwhich for 200 and it was worth every cordoba! one of the best lunches ive had travelling in central america

Perhaps it was the hype, perhaps it was the number one rating on Trip Advisor, or maybe it was the amazing description on the chaulk board that had me expectations high that were not nearly met. Nice place, definitely only saw ex-pats there most likely because of the price point. Good looking menu with really exciting items. I choose the brisket sandwich, looked amazing in description and in presentation. Unfortunately the only thing you could taste was the smoked jalapenos. They would have saved themselves a lot of money if they took everything else off and just served the jalapenos. My friend had the wimpie and was also disappointed saying it was just Ok.

Excellent service and food. I had one of their specials, and the portion was so generous I don’t know if i’ll need a second meal today ! Only downside (or is it??) - no wifi. I was by myself so I really focused on the food instead :)

We went today to El garaje restaurante and we liked more than expected! I had the chicken tandoori pita and my boyfriend had the chipotle slow cooked beef! Both plates were well presented and the flavors were amazing. We could feel the freshness of the products. Everything is homemade. By far its one of the best food we had in central America since we started travelling 4 months ago! We highly recommend it

Delicious food and very fresh ingredients. I tried two different vegan dishes and both were outstanding. Beautiful space too. You can tell lots of love goes into this place because I could taste it.

The food is so great. You should definitely eat here. Tried about 6 of the sandwiches across our stay and loved them all. Great prices and service too.

Had an amazing sandwich over here. I got the sandwich pulled beef with homemade bbq sauce. The beef was perfect, the sauce was very flavorful and had a little spiciness. Recommend!

El Garaje is a nice little spot for lunch for those who enjoy savory sandwiches and lunch fare with deference to locally sourced and organic ingredients. The menu isn't huge or even extremely diverse, but the offerings they have are very well done and very tasty. I may have missed it when looking for my lunch spot that day, but El Garaje is CASH ONLY, credit cards not accepted. Fortunately, I had plenty of cash with me. A nice lunch for 2 with beverages, including local tax and gratuity, ran about $17 The food is a great value and worth the visit if you're in the area.

Only open for lunch El Garaje serves the best food in Granada and honestly it's not even really that close. These two humble owners are making everything from scratch with a ton of talent and care. Their meats and vegetables are all incredibly fresh but the real standout here is the bakery. This woman knows her baked goods. Do yourself a favor and get any of the sandwiches on their sourdough or their other sandwich bread. The roll is solid too- but the sandwich bread PERFECTLY toasted with delicious fillings? Just amazing. I had the reuben today, made with a house braised pork belly. Insane. Go to here.

(Translated by Google) The name could fool you !!!! The Garage has nothing to do with a dark and dirty place to park your car !!! This Restaurant (6-8 tables), located in a colonial house on Calle Corral, is cozy and well decorated. The menu (not so extensive but very different from what you can find in Granada and even in all of Nicaragua) varies every day in its main dishes and always offers options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Everything is made at home (from bread to vegetables grown in a private garden), the presentation is top notch and the flavors are absolutely gourmet ... exquisite !!! The owners (a couple of Canadians) cook and serve you directly in a very friendly way. The place is very nice and cozy, maybe a little small, but very familiar. Considering the quality, the prices are very good (much lower than many other renowned restaurants that offer the same as always) and the food is very healthy. I strongly recommend visiting it, however (only one point that could be improved) check the service hours first (they only attend for lunch and do not work on weekends). Bon Appetite (Original) El nombre podria engañarlo!!!! Buen Provecho

This little, hidden gem was outstanding! Having a Washington, DC restaurant owner for a partner, we tried to eat our way through the town of Granada. We didn't find a lot of hits, but this place was super! (Check their hours. The gate wasn't open the first time we went by, despite being within the hours so we thought they were closed until we peeked in and they opened the door. They must just keep it shut). We had a pulled pork sandwich and a smoked eggplant bagel sandwich. They were flavor combinations that left us still talking about it--not your typical food. Check it out!!!

Probably some of the best sanwiches in the country. Their ham and cheese is made to perfection. Real housesmoked ham (really smoked, falvorful and salty in the good way, loved it), lots of cheese, fresh tomato, caramelized onions on a fresh home baked sliced white bread. Simple, yet extremely tasty. The semi-sauerkraut was fresh, crunchy , sweet and tangy, great compliemnt. Their menu is full of veggy, curry and amazing deli options. I cant wait to comeback. The waiter is a bit slow and not thaaat friendly. They only take cash, no Credit Card, Wire or Paypal. Still, very much worth it. Local is also super nice, very welcoming (They lock the door for security, but once inside its a beautiful setting, right at home! Got check it out!

Recomended by Chef Puro. This place is clean, consistant, tasty, great presentation and taste to their eclectic menu. You will see and taste the effort. Great dishes, prices should be higher, but. Perfect for a business, or romantic lunch/after lunch meal. Secure location, strict hours and a sort of discipline that is kind of hard to find in Granada, about their service and pride of their dishes. They have a great balance of taste and art to their food. Almost a kind of respect for our food, feels like. A must, when you find yourself in Granada. Thank you for reading. And, Welcome to Nicaragua. Big Hug, Chef Puro #ElGarage #Nicaragua

Great toasted sandwiches. I had one with aubergine, marinara, cheeses and I can't remember what else. Looks closed when you past as it's got wrought-iron grills that are shut, but if you rattle them they let you in.

Wow blown away with my tandori chicken sandwich was just an amazing taste. We also had pulled pork bbq and that was good also but tandori for me is the go to sandwich. Salad was very tasteful and fresh. Excellent presentation and it went well with beer. As you can see from pictures we ate before taking pictures we just couldn't wait. A must go restaurant.

Super healthy options (some for vegetarians) using locally sourced organic greens, meats and fish. The food here is delicious. The chef has a flare with spices including Thai and Indian and nails it everytime. A must destination for those who appreciate great food.

For years we've been going there for lunch and not once disappointed. Simply delicious food, every time! When I was no longer living in Granada, I really missed El Garaje even though I lived in a city bustling with options from all cousines. Oh, and their house salad dressing is the best!

Wow, what a restaurant! So good and so tasty! This restaurant takes all their ingredients from a local farm and you can taste it with every bite. They are only open at lunch time, but it is worth going there! We had "the texan" and the pita bbq tandoori chicken. It was incredibly delicious. And the price for the food and drinks are very reasonable. Highly recommended, we will go back on Monday!

Wonderfully fresh and delicious food. Pretty and peaceful interior. I had an entree salad. It was bountiful and about the freshest ingredients I can remember ever having. I will be back! Note that to get there, GoogleMaps is off by one block (in Feb. 2020). You need to go one block further east, toward Lake Nicaragua, than shown. Simple directions are to go to Convento San Francisco and then two blocks toward the Lake on Calle Corrales.

(Translated by Google) We had not come here for several years (before 2018) ... and they only open Monday through Friday for lunch. (11-3pm). It is food that is not usually seen in the menus of the country and the place is small, quiet and those who attend are a married couple of foreigners and as you can see in the photos, the kitchen is fully visible. They can also make changes to any dish to suit specific tastes or needs. . They only accept payment in cash. I share a menu for the prices. This is the best European style restaurant in Granada and they are head and shoulders over other places. They produce many of their own greens which is not available anywhere else in Granada - the food is fresh and very very tasty. The owners and serving staff are very friendly - you can seat for couple of hours and eat your food in leisure. I eat mostly vegetarian food and this is the best place for that for sure. (Again this is not Nica food). The place is clean and beautiful. Their opening hours are little odd but again they are not a big shop.

Having lived in Granada for five years, this is hands down the best lunch restaurant in the city. Friends from Granada as well as other cities in Nicaragua make a point to visit frequently, as do we. Today, we enjoyed two of their weekly specials - the Italian Melt sandwich and the Caesar chicken sandwich. Each came with a side of homemade slaw. The restaurant is pretty small, with perhaps six tables. The ingredients are always quality and fresh. They have a standing menu of sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salads and more along with usually three specials for the week. Today's Italian Melt special was probably the best sandwich I've had during our time living in Nicaragua. Delicious! In addition, you can purchase meats and baked goods for take away such as ham, bacon, English muffins, bagels, etc. They're only open for lunches from 11:30 - 3:30 Monday-Friday, closed on the weekends. If you're in Granada, you owe it to yourself to check out El Garaje!
