This small unassuming places churns out delicious food that will give any full fledged restaurant a run for their money, every element that was served was cooked to perfection and delicious. The chef really knows what he is doing. Everything is organic and made from scratch (the sauces and drinks too). They offered us samplers of their baby corn with their in-house avocado dressing which was divine. The beef burger was amazing, it was technically a steak and not a burger, I would highly recommend it. Additionally, the owner/chef is extremely charismatic and kind, offering us sampler of their sauces and home made honey ginger figs. The entire dining experience was splendid and not what we expected from a hole in the wall eatery near the busy municipal market. This is a hidden gem of Granada that everyone should try

I came here off a recommendation and it did not disappoint. A truly local and authentic place. Burgers made from Plantains is a brilliant idea and great for Gluten free. I particularly loved the homemade pumpkin and avocado sauces which were delicious. The owner Amos was so welcoming and friendly, as were all the staff. Would highly recommend!

If you get to Granada make sure you stop here for a banana burger. The highlight is the amazing pumpkin sauce. It’s the most amazing food and service ever. Everything is fresh and made to order. No processed food served here, just delicious homemade food. The owners are awesome and they love what they are doing

This is definitely a must-try while in Granada!! The family running this little place is super friendly and Amos welcomed me in the best way possible. I had an amazing vegan AND gluten free "banana burger" (non-veggie options possible too!) and I couldn't feel happier. I loved everything: the people, the food and the concept. Cool experience.

This is probably the best food I have had in Central America so far. The portion isn’t huge but you get a tiny appetizer/“dessert” as well. They only have one thing on the menu but it is absolutely delicious. The staff are super nice and friendly and they are very fast and sufficient. The perfect spot for lunch

The best and freshest food we’ve had in Nicaragua so far. The steak was cooked perfectly and the meals are SUPER healthy. No wonder why it has a 5 star rating with over 200 reviews.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the moment you step in there is dreamy music and beautiful decoration around you. You can see the ingredients they will use for your meal. We had the vegetarian burger which is also vegan. The veggies were cooked perfectly and the sauces were what gave the meal it's amazing taste. This is the most flavorful meal I've had in all of Central America!

Wow, what a great service and such amazing food! It's family owned and has delicious, healthy and unique plantainburgers. They also gave a free little starter and desert. Will definitely go there again and can highly recommend.

This place is amazing! The service and food are excellent. My friend and I walked in and were greeted warmly upon arrival. We were then told about drink choices and the menu, all of which sounded delicious. We ordered the ginger and hibiscus tea, which were both refreshing and flavorful but not overly sweet. Then we ordered the beef and chicken burgers. We were given a delicious little snack while we waited, and then the burgers came. Not only was the initial presentation lovely, but they were both steaming hot and absolutely divine. The flavor was unlike anything I’ve tasted down here and I would definitely recommend both their avocado and pumpkin sauces. So yummy! Throughout the meal people would check up on us, everyone was super friendly and I felt very welcomed. When we were finished we were given a spoonful of a ginger/ fig leaf/ honey concoction that was the perfect way to end the meal. Not to mention the prices are fantastic! I will definitely be coming back

Deliciousssss beyond expectations. The family takes pride in food and as a vegetarian, it was perfect. Not a traditional veggie burger pattie but seasonal veggies roasted perfectly between plantains. What tasted even more delicious is the unique sauces, avocado and pumpkin. We were offered early tastes to keep our tummies waiting in anticipation as well a free dessert bites! Great value and creativity of chef outshines most food options in granada! Couldn't recommend more, although in busy market area the ambiance inside is relaxing and wonderful.

Absolutely incredible joint! The food is comparable to a 5 star resturant. Located in a charming rustic setting you’d be foolish not to visit. Hyper fresh, hyper nutritious and fulfilling. Everything from vegan to meat, all Plated exceptionally… this is not a restaurant- it’s an experience.

Oh my god. Mindblown. This is possibly the best-reviewed place i was at (factoring in the number of reviewers), and its completely worthy of it. Familial business, Nicaraguan hospitality, gastronomic passion, great vibe and music and of course, amazing, fresh, healthy food. Yes, a healthy “burger”, with non-processed meat (vegetarian option available) and buns made of plantains, delicious sauces freshly made of avocado or calabash, grilled veggies… wow. We love it. If you are in Granada you must come here.

Tostometro is in my opinion a must visit during a trip to Grandad. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff and presented the menu. Which consisted of the speciality plantain "burger". Before being served our main meal we were treated to some complimentary tasters, showcasing the unique sauces made in house. The plantain burger itself was truly delicious, consisting of a fried plantain "bun", steak, peppers, tomato's and onion. Dressed with the house sauces. Put together this is one of the tastiest meals I had during my time in Granada. After the meal we sampled a pumpkin & ginger paste as a sweet finish to the meal. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Very reasonably priced for the unique food on offer too.

Very creative cuisine, tasty Burgers made with Cooking Bananas accompanied not with the usual Ketchup and Mayo, but with Avocado- and Pumpkin sauce. Delicious! We had the vegetarian option with Avocado, beetroot, pumkin, zucchini, onions, baby corn and it was wonderful. Very kind family who run this place. It's very unique and they really make these burgers with love and  high commitment. The place itself is so special already, don't miss it!d

Definitely a must visit when in Granada. For 170C you get a very different but tasty burger, a small appetizer and a tasty sweet spoon after. The sauces are home made and delicious (the pumpkin sauce!). I had the beef 'burger' and I don't think I tasted better beef in Nicaragua. The owner is a very welcoming and charming personality.

If you want real nice streatfood with a modern twist, you should definitely eat at Tostometro!!! My stomach is very sensitive so I tend to avoid streetfood but do to the positive comments and the fact that its vegan, I had to try! So glad I did, the vegan burger was amazing, the pumpkin sauce as well. They plated very beautiful and made sure it was clean! I had no issues with my stomach whatsoever. The taste was amazing, the owner is amazing, the place is amazing. If I could give 10 stars, I would've

It was so nice to see that the chef did a lot of effort to chose high quality ingredients to create the plantain burgers - especially the meat & the homemade salsas were delicious! The dessert was also very special: pumpkin marmelade with ginger - wow. We definitely will come back.

This is easily the best meal I’ve had in Nicaragua, and I lived here for two years. If you like beef, it’s cooked to perfection and worth your while. The veggie burger is also delicious - the vegetables and fresh and varied. The real star of the show, though, if you can get past the amazing plantain bun burgers, is the pumpkin salsa. If they bottled and sold it, I’d buy a suitcase full.

In my opinion, the most delicious meal I had while in Granada, and yet one of the least expensive ones in the city. Whether you end up enjoying it or not, I'm sure anyone would agree that the service is superb. By no means is this a fancy place, located in the mercado, but with excellent service. If you want authentic homemade flavors and experience, this is your place. A must try. Try one of their homemade drinks with your meal. Highly recommended.

Found this place in the market from a referral by another juice bar place here in Granada and wow is this place incredible! It’s hidden but ask around and locals will direct you, it’s definitely worth finding. Delicious and healthy and the service was exceptional!

Can all of us make this place to become a full 5-star rating? The idea of using plantains as the buns is just unmatched, turning something only used in local cuisine to a delicious substitute for a regular burger. Sorry, the burger wasn’t even regular. It’s unique that the beef I ordered was cooked to medium perfection, the vegetables in it were just the right smoky taste, and the sauce oh my god, it paired so well with everything. I cleaned the entire plate. There are several options including vegetarian/ vegan for those that don’t eat meat. Also try their tea, the roselle (jamaica) tea I had was so refreshing after walking under the scorching sun. Not forgetting the staff, who were all genuinely nice and happy with what they do. I wish this restaurant the best!

Some of the best food I've had in Central America. The chef makes beautiful flavour combinations. The sauces alone are to die for. The service was excellent, we felt so welcome. This is by far the most amazing food in Granada, if not Nicaragua. The chef took the time to explain his process to us, the staff was amazingly attentive, the food was indescribably amazing. The unassuming nature of the exterior adds to the authenticity of this absolute gem. Please visit here, please pass along the recipe for the banana burger to me should you be able to get it out of the chef.

Delicious grilled veggie sandwich with grilled plantains as buns. Very substantial and flavorful. Two delicious sauces to accompany the "Banana Burger" were an avocado sauce and a pumpkin sauce. Great ginger juice. Food prepared by a young man and his mom (I am guessing) helps with the service with lots of joy. The cafe is located in the busy central market area and its entrance is behind various street carts selling goods. Look closely and you'll find and it's totally worth it.

An amazing, delicious, and healthy meal. Provided by a wonderful son and mother duo, the energy could not be beat. Behind the grill is a caring, always smiling and enthusiastic gentleman with the passion and dedication needed to make everyone who eats at Tostometro enjoy their company as much as their food. A proper gem in Granada. Ajmos will cook up a delicious burger with buns made of fried plantains. Super nice service getting served small treats/appetizers while waiting. They offer meat or mixed veggies as patties. No problem getting it vegan as the sauces are made with avocado and pumpkin. Passed by it while strolling the market. They focus on one thing only, which is burgers - but instead of a bread bun they use two big pieces of fried plaintain. Which means the only decision you have to make is about which meat or filling you want for your burger. Their veggie option is vegan friendly, it's not actually a vegan pattie but various pieces of grilled veggies. The sauces they smother your burger and plate with are avocado and pumpkin based and absolutely delicious. They are made daily in house, so super fresh. The combination of it all is devine. We were also served a small snack and a dessert free of charge. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The cook is such a humble person, and the lady serving the food is so sweet! Also the burgers only cost c$ 170 each, no matter what meat or filling. Absolute bargain. I will be back!
