One of the best places we’ve stayed at in Central America! The property is amazing - right by the beach for surfing but also a great pool/outdoor and deck area for hanging out at and relaxing! The breakfast included is 10/10 (get the burrito!!!) and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Ali!!! She was amazing, incredibly kind and went out of her way with surfing, rentals and booking taxis! Can’t wait to come back :)

Great surfer hostel directly at the beach. 5min walk to beginners bay. Really chill vibe and good to relax. Nice pool and beautiful chill out area. Good food. We'll equipped kitchen. Clean and peaceful place. Dorms can get quite hot, however all beds have their own fan. Owners and volunteers are super friendly and helpful. Also regarding when and where to go surfing. Good boards for rental. Thanks for the hospitality! Will come again :)

I loved my stay at Cafe con Leche! It’s a beautiful property directly on the beach with really good vibes! It’s quiet yet alive!Smoothies are delicious and the owners are incredibly friendly! Can highly recommend staying there! Only a three minute walk to beginner’s bay!

The food of this place is amazing, the chef Ever is super friendly and the staff of the hostel too.

We loved this place and extended our stay. Very nice people, good vibe and perfect location right next to the beach and just a short walk to the surf breaks.

Just stopped by for a bite, and WOW, one of the nicest places we’ve been, which is saying a lot. They accommodated for the ingredients they were out of, made my son a special meal because he is picky, and we interacted with many friendly guests.

I didn’t stay here but came every morning for a smoothie and to pet all the dogs which are soooo sweet! Owner is really nice and friendly and gave advice on where else to eat in Popoyo and surf etc. Would love to come back and stay in the future!

I rented a surfboard for a week and couldn’t have asked for more … really nice people and very helpful with local advice. It looked like a nice place to stay and eat - sadly we already booked somewhere else .. maybe next time. Thanks for the board 😀

Cafe con Leche is the ideal spot for anyone looking for a home away from home in Popoyo. The staff is absolutely lovely! Before you know it, they will be like family. With wonderful staff like Lukas, chefs like Heberth and Pamela and wonderful owners like Manu and Marco, there’s simply no place like this. The coffee is next level, the food is delicious, but most important, the vibe is magical!

When you didn't actually stay at a place, but still write a review, it must be really good! I was in Popoyo for 3 weeks and often came to Cafe con Leche to work and enjoy the beautiful garden. The owners (Manuel and Marc) are very welcoming and make you feel at home. A highlight was the BBQ on Saturday, where they serve cocktails with bacon in it (say what?!!!). Thank you Manuel and Marc for your hospitality!

I’m not sure how CCL manages to offer the service, space and food that they do, at the price that they charge. We ended up moving here from the hostel strip as it was cheaper, nicer and much closer to the surf beach than our other place. The kitchen’s got everything you need, the vibe is ideal, and the doggy’s and hosts are super welcoming. The included breakfast is ideal after a morning surf! (I recommend the french toast 🇫🇷🍞).

We love Cafe con leche because: closest accommodation to beginners bay (as the name implies: awesome spot for beginning surfers) dorm options, great food and smoothie menu, great surfboard selection, kitchen and best vibes. It’s a little pricier than other options close by but the garden paradise and included breakfast totally make up for it. We loved our stay sooooo much that we extended our stay and hope to return again :)

By far the best place in Nicaragua. Best ambiance, verry clean and staff is like a second family. Went with my 2 kids (12-14) and they are just waiting to go back. (Btw: the food is next level)

A lovely homey place just on the beach, 5 min walk from amazing surfing locations. A laid back hostel, perfect to relax after a long day of surfing. Mark the owner is super helpful with anything needed. I’m sorry I couldn’t stay for longer!

The vibe is fun! I met great friends here and it’s so close to the beach. The pool is perfect for a cool down dip or mid afternoon hang. Marc, the owner is so helpful and knowledgeable about everything you need to know. And the food is so yummy!

We loved our time at Cafe soo much- such a good vibe, right next to the surf break, and without a doubt the best value for money in Popoyo when you take into account their board hire and included breakfast (which is unreal btw!) I would recommend to anyone, we didn’t want to leave !!! Thank you to the team for an amazing stay.

The BBQ dinner they served on a Saturday night during our stay in Popoyo was AMAZING. This is coming from a Texas man who loves his bbq. I had the res(beef) and my wife had the pork I cannot remember the dishes actual names but the meal was the best meal we had all trip. The service was five stars as the actual owner waited on us and after dinner answered some of our questions about the region and gave some good history on how he and his brother ended up building on this property and making it what it is today. I would highly recommend this for anyone in the area on a Saturday evening, my only regret is that we only could eat there once. Thank you cafe con leche for an amazing intimate date night with phenomenal food and service, we can’t wait to visit you again. John and Theona 🤙

Great spot with great hosts. Marc and Manu were super helpful before and during our stay. The hostel have a great vibe, it's clean, friendly and quiet. Breakfast is great and is included. The location for surfing is the best, your right next to beginner bay, short walk to popoyo and 25min from Santana. They got motorcycles for rent, a nice pool and jungle garden, Board rental. A kitchen upstairs so you can always cook food. Well done guys! You created something amazing.
