Food: had the jalapeno chicken and the steak plate, jeez the food here was delicious. Both served with rice, beans, tostones, and a bit of ensalada. It was really delicious! Price was about 180 Cordoba per plate. Drinks: ice cold Toñas at 45 córdobas. Atmosphere: nothing fancy, it's a house converted into a restaurant. But it's really as nice as they could afford to make it. Overall: No frills from this place. Just really great Nicaraguan home cooking at a fair price. Prob the best restaurant on the Laguna.

Food made to order. They also offer some juice and fresh fruit. It's a good alternative if you want to escape from the huge portions at Paradiso, just crossing the street. They are also open later than el Paradiso

Small family owned kiosk with some tables to have food. Very fresh and tasteful Nica food, big portion (for a Dutch girl) and very well priced. I had grilled chicken with rice, beans, tomato and avocado. So much better to eat here then in those commercial resorts.

Very cute comedor 2 minutes walk from the Paridiso resort. The menu has a small selection of typical Nica dishes, all served with delicious rice, beans, salad and tostones. We enjoyed our dinner so much, we went back for breakfast the next day which was also really filling and tasty! Give it a try!

Best food I have had since I arrived in this country

We had a very nice vegetarian meal here for lunch and would definitely recommend to stop at this place if you’re in the neighbourhood! The lady was very friendly and the fruit juice nice. Only thing was that the table was dirty and we cleaned it ourselves.

Very fair prices and very good local nica food by a friendly shy family. We tried the beef plate (180C$) and a delicious fresh limonade (50C$). Thanks again!

What a great place to enjoy simple and healthy food in an authentic setting. The menu is straight forward, the service is quick and the family speak good English. They have a little shop too. Even some clothing for sale. Very reasonable prices. We loved it here. 3 times in 3 days. Beats Paradiso hands down! V

we came here in search for a pricy alternative if our hostel dinner. This restaurant offers delicious dishes (grilled chicken, fried chicken, jalapeno chicken, grilled fish, vegetarian) in big portiond to very reasonable prices. Especially, dishes were accompanied with avocado and onions in a yoghurt dressing.

Fresh food, full plate! Kind family that runs the place. Small outdoor seating under a grass hut. They have a tiny convenience items like chips, beers and simple meds aswell. If you're in the area, a must stop for dinner!

Great quality of food, all ingredients were super fresh and tasty. I came back here every night for great food at good prices. Their fresh juices are also great.
