I experienced my first microaggresion racist experience as a tourist in Nice here. The waiter (girl behind the bar) started shouting Japanese greetings to me when I simply asked directions to the bathroom. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and I was forced to leave afterwards. She acted in an extremely unprofessional and borderline drunkish manner that made me feel unsafe and unwelcome. Afterwards, she started a conversation with the other patrons about speaking in mandarin which made me feel even more unsafe and uncomfortable. I do not recommend this place if you look remotely ethnically Chinese. Do not come.

This place is great! We actually stopped here twice while on our vacation in Nice. The service was friendly and the drink selection was amazing. This is nice and tucked away in old Nice and made for some great people watching. Drinks were served with fresh olives and there was very little wait to get out drinks out. Highly recommend spending some time here and just taking in old Nice!

I much preferred this bar compared with others in the Old Town: not as lively but that meant we didn't have to suffer awful cover bands and the odd dodgy street performer!

We sat undecided whether to have a beer or some wine and went several times to see the list because we hadn't been given a menu. They suggested a champagne at a "good price" but when we opted for a cheaper rosé they brought us a half-open bottle that didn't even make a sound when opened. The cap was then thrown into the ice bucket as if to rinse and reuse it (misbelieving?). Maybe it's just a matter of rushing to serve customers, but it's very easy to doubt the lack of honesty in serving bulk wine in cheaper bottles.
