This restaurant is much batter than the current rating in relation to the surrounding restaurants with plus 4.0 ratings. I had the Maccharoni with Meatballs and enjoyed it. Our daughter had the rigatoni and our son had the gnocchi with truffles. My wife had the lasagna which was very good. Be careful the portions are large and only one of us finished. Prior to dinner my wife and I enjoyed two very good cocktails and shared an excellent bottle of Lambrusco with dinner.

We were trying to get into their sister restaurant (for a second time) by the water, without a reservation and a little too late, when the host suggested we come here. Same menu. Same food quality. Same great service. I wound definitely put this on your list when visiting Nice... its family style... a Lasagna is an 8x8 pan

I had a meal at Blast across the street the day before having lunch at Mamma Mia and it didn’t look appealing to me. Then we decided to have lunch there the next day given the fact that the area is pretty vibrant and busy with people walking. Especially when live music is performed in there. First impression was that it is a busy place and servers might be extremely busy to pay any attention. As soon as we sat a server dropped the menus, then at an appropriate period of time, he came to check on us, took the order after answering our questions. Meanwhile people are coming like crazy and every staff member is running around, but in a controlled manner - pretty impressive -. Drinks were surved, and then the pizza arrived, it was the one with cheese, artichokes and eggs. TO D-I-E for, it was by the far one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Finished our meal then order two coffees plus the check. I just want to highlight the fact that although that place was crazy busy, our order and service were in a timely manner as we were the only guests in the restaurant. I was truly impressed. I highly recommend my pizza lovers to pay a visit to this place, the hospitality and professionalism are as good as the pizzas.

Very good food and large portions!! The lasagna is enough for at least two people! Personally I didn’t like the flank steak so much, because I didn’t know they would pour brown sauce all over it - but still tasted OK.

Even the basic Pizza (Margarita) was prepared sooooo well at this place. I just loved it. The sides were crispy and well cooked. ✨ Also, I tried this off beat drink - “Virgin Amore Amore” and it turned out to be super refreshing. 💯 A must visit whenever you are in Nice 🤌 P.S: It’s just a bit busy in the evenings so just make sure you reserve a table in advance or go there earlier 🤷‍♂️

I visited Mamma Mia 3 times in just over a week so obviously they are doing something right. The rating of 4 stars overall and 3 stars for Service needs explaining. I walk through Old town and the surrounding areas every day. I love the fresh orange juice in MM. I also love their Crevettes Tempura. The problem is that they shut off their fresh juice machine at noon exactly. And they don't open their kitchen until noon exactly. So I sit down at perhaps 11:40 and order my orange juice. And I am ready for another when I go to order food. But they won't serve another. I see this as poor service. The first time I visited I didn't know. The next 2 times I simply forgot and was too late by 3 mins each time and the answer is simply "no". You decide if the service mark down is unreasonable. The prawns are lovely. The staff are attentive and very nice. The location is perfect to sit in the shade and watch the world pass by.

We only had coffee and juice at this place, so our selection was limited, but we thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered. The espresso had a delightful taste, and the apple/mint/lemon juice was refreshing. The ambiance is pleasant, with lovely bright red colors. The service is friendly, and they speak perfect English.

Saw this place on Tik Tok so naturally had to check it out. It’s mainly pizza and pasta. Very good food! Portions are HUGE, great value for the price. Definitely recommend sharing - we did not and we had tons of leftovers (which are hard to keep when you’re traveling). Service was a bit slow but there was fast free wifi which made up for it. Overall a great spot for Italian food!

Haven’t tried any food, but frozen daiquiri and champagne were delicious. The atmosphere was super nice, would totally recommend to spend an evening there.

We visited this place for lunch on Monday. The street and place is always busy and it was during the Flower Market. The food arrived fast and was delicious, the portions are big and we even took some home. At first we thought it was a fast food place but it actually isnt. Recommend.

Good Neapolitan pizza. The service worked well and we received the orders quickly. The Espresso Martini was also particularly good. Happy hour also gave good deals. The atmosphere in the place was a bit hectic, but we had a good time. I recommend it to pizza lovers.

A good place to go for cheap drinks on and off happy hour. Only complaint is that the waiter would forget things when we had asked for them and walked away for the whole table could order

Happy hour drinks available. Service was excellent. Very large portions but very tasty. A good value. Lambrusco was excellent.

The two good things: the good service that spoke English and the well made drink. The bad: the actual food. The pasta was cooked well, but flavor wise… it was just the flavor of salt?? No actual seasoning or taste of the ingredients… just the flavor of salty salty food. The meatballs were sort of good but were just overwhelmed by the bad red sauce. As for the salmon linguini, the salmon was just so over cooked and not complementing the sauce and noodles at all. Just smelled fishy and tasted sad. Really wanted to like this place!

Amazing place to eat good! The pizza dough was really incredible; even though it was not for me, I’d finish that with pleasure! The pasta was as good as the pizza. We had to wait a bit long to get the menus but were impressed by how quick the meals were served. The place in itself is really nice, comfortable and warm.

I was surprised by this rating, and honestly wouldn’t have stopped if my internet was working. But alas, we had a nice surprise with the burrata pizza (enough for 2 people) and wine by the glass. The red sparkling wine is from Italy and 5 euro and is served cold, a nice treat in the hot weather. Service was fast and great.

The location is very nice. The drinks are good too. Though the place needs more server. Because orders take ages.

We stopped for afternoon drinks which were served promptly and were tasty. They have a homemade socca which we didn’t eat before and so we gave it a go. It was delicious. The place wasn’t busy so that’s probably why we got a prompt service.

Really nice place! Appropriately relaxed and the food plentiful and tasty! Servings of home cooking in a good sense. Basic flavors, good simple ingredients. We will come again! A plus for the waiter👍

Lovely café! Recommended by a local we went during our holidays. Enjoyed the view of the market, the nice cappuccinos and nice weather.

Nice location, price is reasonable for good location. Interior of place is so cozy and impressive. I love orange color of this place! Just too many mosquitoes on my leg 😂

Two different people took our order for a coffee. After 15 min they came to tell us that it's after 12 o clock now and the table is only to eat. We had to leave our spot and weren't able to drink our coffee. Bad service.

Food and drinks are at a reasonable price, happy hour is nice for ordering cocktails and beer. Lasagna was really good and can be shared with two to three persons. Pizza was also good but due to the cold weather the pizza got cold quickly.
