I am absolutely shocked to read the reviews for this place. I had to check photos twice to really verify i am actually in the right place. Meat that is turned to carbon outside and raw and cold inside. Disgusting overpriced salads with budget quality ingredients, inedible side dishes and drinks the price of a 5 star hotel. Absolute shambles! I suspect the positive reviews are fake! Avoid!

Our server, Julian made our visit even more enjoyable and was very sincere and nice. We changed our order last minute and was very cooperative , played with my daughters and gave them candy couple of times, and as we left gave us yummy apple pie on the house! Having a great server makes a huge difference in ones experience in a restaurant , we had an amazing time, thank you Julian :). The food itself is very good especially the black angus with truffle but the portions are big.Thank you for a great time

Unique experience. They cook you food in a fireplace. Great food. They bring a big basket of uncut veggies to start. I had a t-bone.

Best seat in the house! One for the meat lovers, exquisite pieces down to a very generous Formule

OMG - what a wonderful place. Family owned restaurant with wonderful food. Many celebrities have visited the place. All the chairs have engraved names from famous visitors, I sat on the chair of Jack Nicholson!! Must make reservation. You will not regret visiting this restaurant. The wine list is worth studying :)) If you are up to it you can order wine for 7000 Euro a bottle! Valet parking.

Really excellent, rustic restaurant. Ate here 20 years ago as a 21 year old and had to return. It did NOT disappoint! Burrata with truffles, the tomatos, chicken (order ahead!), 2 bottles of white burgundy, and a “side of meat”. If I lived close (vs a 11 hour plane flight), I could eat here 2-3 times per month with a long table of friends and family. Last comment, we ate at Louis XV in Monoco 2 nights later, and thought our meal was WAY better at La Chaumiere. Hats off to the guy doing the fireplace cooking.

Worst grill in my life! Seriously had to spit out their chicken, which was probably cooked in fires of hell, with a taste of overcooked corpse. Their staff should be forced to eat their food for eternity!

A great restaurant! You clearly feel that it’s a family business. The Chef is Insasse how he cook your meat perfectly as you wish on the open fire!

Meat, meat and more meat. Our waiter Sam was fantastic and had the best humor. More of him!

Best steak in Nice, hands down. I’ve tried emery steakhouse and this one is out of this world. Steak quality to how it’s cooked and the intimacy of the restaurant. Not cheap, but we’ll worth the $$$$.

If you want a steak, then come to this place but have the wagyu if possible and avoid the entrecote as that was tough which was disappointing for the prices.

Probably one of the best meals in France. A beautiful place, friendly staff, great wine list and a simple menu excellently prepared. The Tomahawk steak was amazing, the side dishes are excellent and the mustard sauce is a must.

Wow. Wonderfully rustic feel to the place...spent half my time simply enjoying the meat being cooked on the open fire right next to me. The food itself was incredible. The figs and foie gras starter took me completely by surprise, the steak was unbelievable. Would happily go well out of my way to return. A delightful place, a wonderful family and the food brings you back again and again.

Up the mountain, 30 minutes from Monaco, rustic, charming, one of the best roasted meat I have had. This is a unique dining experience. Super nice service.
