Lovely place to sit and watch the world pass you by. Plenty of open space, seating and the delightful sound of children screaming as they run through the fountains. A little further along there's a huge children's park with wooden slidesz seesaws and trampolines. Toilets are available towards the main square entrance and cost 50c.

Beautiful promenade to walk through. Scenic way to get from the La Meridien area to Old Nice. The fountain area is lovely after dusk with the jets of watch coloured with red and blue. Lots of play structures along the way so it's a good place to bring kids. Super clean as well.

Excellent place in Nice for kids and adults to stroll around. The water fountains (series of jet water fountains close to 70-80) is very good. There is one guy who blows the water bubbles, large and colorful in the sun and pretty awesome scene to watch.

The Promenade du Papillon is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Nice. As a nature enthusiast, I was delighted to discover this stunning park, which offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Walking along the Promenade du Papillon is a truly serene experience, with its lush greenery, colorful flowers, and the gentle sound of water flowing through its streams. The park is well-maintained and clean, making it a pleasant place to spend an afternoon or enjoy a picnic with friends and family. One aspect that detracts from the overall experience, however, is the lack of facilities within the park. While there are benches and picnic tables scattered throughout the park, there are no restrooms or drinking fountains available, which can be inconvenient for visitors. Despite this minor criticism, I highly recommend visiting the Promenade du Papillon for anyone seeking a peaceful nature walk or a relaxing afternoon picnic. The park is a true hidden gem, offering a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city. What sets this park apart is the beauty of its butterfly garden, which is home to dozens of different species of butterflies. The garden is a truly unique and memorable experience, and it's clear that the staff and volunteers take great pride in maintaining it. I would like to suggest that the park could benefit from adding more amenities, such as restrooms and drinking fountains, to make it more accessible and convenient for visitors. Additionally, offering guided tours or educational programs about the butterfly garden could help attract more visitors and promote awareness of the importance of conservation efforts. Overall, I am grateful to have discovered the Promenade du Papillon and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Nice. I am likely to come back, and would love to see even more effort put into maintaining and enhancing this beautiful natural retreat in the heart of the city.

The perfect play park for children as it's just a large fountain essentially. Very good for cooling off. Beware of mischievous children stepping on the water spouts to spray passers by! Public toilets nearby cost €0.50 to use.
