This is a fantastic museum with lots to see. My ticket gave me access to the exhibits and permanent collections. It was beautifully curated with detailed - but not overwhelming - descriptions of each section. I went to several museums in Nice and I would highly recommend this one. Plus, the views of the city (from windows inside the building and also the circular roof terrace) are magnificent.

I really liked the museum, I also visited the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Reigna Sofia museum in Madrid, I would say this is between them, definitely better than Reigna Sofia, but not sure about Pompidou because that one I visited in a hurry. I would say the expositions here were displayed really good and I really liked the Yves Klein ones. Very beautiful and a chill vibes while visiting. Also free for students or people under 26, not sure witch one.

The staff is nice, but the museum is dirty and dusty, and it seems grungy. The coolest part is the roof or you can walk up and down these bridges to go all around the building and give you fantastic views. The place has great potential but it’s very tired, dirty and dusty. The Gardens looks like they might be under construction and there might be a plan to fix them up. I hope that’s true because it’s a space with incredible potential but right now it’s just ratty.

There's all kinds of interesting art here that's worth checking out, if you're interested in art. The museum is huge, it took us 2 hours to see everything. I especially loved the terrace as you get a nice view of Nice up there and it's really refreshing to get some air after walking so much. Highly recommended!

Nice museum, a lot of space to walk around. Unfortunately there could be a bit more art especially more modern art. Yves Klein is nice to look at. For a few euros more you can buy a museum pass to see all the other in Nice as well. That’s good.

I love this museum. It was free for me as a student. Architecturally beautiful and it has a cute little garden on the top which I adored. The people were super friendly and helpful. I can definitely recommend!!

An excellent museum displaying predominantly French modern art. At the time of my visit, there was an Italian art exhibit as well. Most art pieces are accompanied by descriptions that are in both French and English, as well as in Italian. The museum is thus very tourist friendly. Finally, for €10, the rate of admission is very reasonable and accessible. I highly recommend checking this museum out.

I highly recommend this contemporary art museum. It has a wide variety of exhibits, and the quality is quite good. It features renowned contemporary artists as well. I also strongly recommend visiting their rooftop, where you can enjoy the beautiful views of Nice.

Great place to see modern art from not only France but all around the globe from different historical periods and movements and by different artists. Wonderfully structured and organized exhibitions on 4 floors. You can easily spend at least 2 hours contemplating all the art there.

Weird and wonderful art here. Interesting enough to spend 1-2 hours. Modern and creative ways of portraying political messages. Well worth coming if you like art, otherwise perhaps not worth 10€ per adult. Several floors here, so you can always skip the less exciting ones. A great view of Nice from the top platform.

I really appreciated this museum. It was the first museum of modern art I visited. I was used to antic arts but I really liked the modern art exposed in this museum as long as the artists. You can see and appreciate from the pictures I posted some of the arts. I really recommend to visit this place if you're in Nice.

Modern Italian art from 1950 to today. Easy to go on hot day. From centrum via tram a few stops. Only negative that thete is no cafe ( or I did not found it). Great view from special roof terrace.

Would have missed this gem if it is not included in the French Riviera Pass. A very fun place to explore the works of some imaginative and audacious French artists and a 360 degree view from the rooftop.

This museum was free for students, huge, and had so much to see! Be prepared to climb a lot of stairs, but it's so worth it. The picture included is from the terrace on the top floor, where there is even more art and a great view.

As an art historian I have to admit that the program bears a very interesting content from each of the exhibitions. However, as a tourist who speaks only English, German and Russian I was very surprised not having enough useful translations for foreigners. I know that France has a special mark to not be considered as very open for any other languages, but here we speak about Museum which is in fact should follow an international rules. Maybe I have to start repeat my French:). Anyway, recommended for visit to all who are in the art world.

(Translated by Google) Very nice museum of modern art in the center of Nice, not far from the old town. Particularly noteworthy is the open area on the end floor. No connected and winding paths lead over the roof and reveal a distant view of Nice. The pictures show art by Quinze.

Found this to be a very cool museum. The building itself has a very interesting shape and you get to access the rooftop with incredible views of Nice. It only took a few seconds to buy the tickets and enter.

A surprisingly strong international collection and funky architectural spaces together with spectacular views of Nice from the rooftop playground are definitely the draws here. The building is desperately in need of upkeep, but the Yves Klein and Niki de Saint Phalle Rooms (with a capital "R") more than make up for any shortcomings. Then there are the inspired temporary exhibits that keep company with permanent works by César, Oldenburg, Arman, Rauschenberg, Robert Indiana, and more! The nearby sculpture garden is worth a visit just to get up close to the unique library/office building in the shape of a surreal head.

If the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum was cut it would bleed creativity. It is a large space perfect for the boundless exhibitions it houses. Let your senses taste, sample, gorge. Hopefully, like me, you’ll be educated by the time experience.

Surprisingly good! Was pleasantly surprised how each exhibition floor had a different showcase . Great examples of 20th century art and makes for some brilliant photos . (Better than the Matisse exhibit). Worth the 10€ though I wish I’d bought the €15 offer that would have allowed me to see all the museums

Large contemporary art museum with great exhibitions. The Daniel Spoerri one was great. The view from terrace is terrific! The lack of publicly available elevator makes the descent boring and unpleasant.

They begin closing operations earlier than 30 minutes before closing. As a public facility, this kind of operation is ridiculous. The bus was late and I arrived 35 minutes before closing. And the entrance was very confusing, and after going through security once by mistake, I was told it was another entrance and went to the museum entrance again. They refused to let me in even though it was only 17:29 at that time. I was a student and it was free, so I did not have to pay. They told me to come back tomorrow morning but unfortunately that is not possible as I am leaving. Very unfair and rude experience.

The Musée d'Art Moderne in Nizza has an interesting collection of which the one of Nicci de Saint Phalle for itself is definitely worth a visit! You will see the work of well know artist in an worthwhile collection. The only thing really improving the experience would be an audio guide and also some bigger sings. But all in all a great visit. If you then go to one of the café in the streets around the museum you will have a perfect ending: art, cake & coffee 😏

Pretty rude madame met me at the reception. I don't speak much French but I tried my best but she didn't try to understand me. On the other hand, a more than strange application of the sanitary rules (no instructions, not possible to return with a backpack even small) and a car park with difficult access without clear landmarks to enter on foot or to locate to go from the car park to the entrance to the museum ... I don't know who runs this place but the first impression is bad ... (Original) Des expositions intéressantes certainement, et une jolie collection.
