This
Rose-colored
villa
was
built
in
1907
by
the
Baroness
Beatrice
de
Rothschild,,
in
the
heart
of
nature
at
Cape
-
Ferrat.
Upon
her
death,
she
donated
the
Villa
(and
all
the
art
collection
in
it)
to
the
French
Fine
Arts
School.
The
villa
soon
was
opened
to
the
public.
Today,
it
is
(with
Villa
Kerylos)
one
of
the
must
to
visit
when
one
goes
to
Nice.
The
villa
I
s
designed
along
the
Italian
Renaissance
style
with
special
stress
on
the
rose
color
which
was
the
Baroness
preferred
color.
7
hectares
of
gardens
add
a
lot
to
the
uniqueness
of
Villa
Ephrussi.
The
gardens
are
categorized
in
different
styles:
French,
Italian
Spanish,
Exotic....
Within
the
Villa,
there
is
a
café
with
beautiful
views
and
very
good
quality
food
and
drinks.
Prices
are,
understandably,
on
the
up
side.
To
get
to
the
Villa
from
the
city
of
Nice,
you
board
the
TER
train
toward
Ventimiglia
and
get
off
at
Beaulieu-sur-Mer
station,
then
you
walk
2
km
to
the
villa
(whole
trip
takes
30-35
minutes)

12.5€
(Reduced:9.5€).
Another

to
buy
one
ticket
to
visit

Villa
Kerylos:
19€.
You
must
visit
both
villas
within
one
week
from
the
date
of
ticket
purchase.
