A good museum. There isn't a huge amount to see but the collection is carefully curated and explained so it is less overwhelming (and more interesting) than at other museums. There are some magnificent pieces. The building itself is very impressive too. It was not too busy either.

This museum was at the bottom of the road, from my hotel in Nice, called the Musee des Beaux-Arts de Nice (Museum of beautiful art). There were lots of paintings, some sculpture set in a beautiful building and gardens. Concerts are also hosted here. Make sure you see the piano room with the huge paintings. Very impressive. I visited a few museums by getting a Nice Museum card (€15 gives you 96 hours of free entry into most museums, but not all, and you can choose the date to activate it from, so you can purchase ahead of visiting Nice).

Beautiful building with a beautiful exhibition of paintings of flowers at the top floor. Free entry for students and otherwise it's just 10 euros. The only downside is that there are no translations of the texts that are put next to the painting

The museum is quite small. You get one floor and 6 rooms to visit plus a hallway on the ground floor. There is some art, but I really expected more for the 10 Euro price of the ticket. I do not recommend it as it is also pretty far from the city center, and if you skip it, you are really not missing out on much.

Beaux Arts was exceptional and absolutely worth the short visit. Accessible by public transport and included in the 3 day Nice Museum pass. Jules Cheret and Doufy pieces are AWEsome!

Beautiful museum, not huge but there is some really very nice artwork from local painters and also from further afield. Totally recommended!

This museum is located on the hill just tiny bit away from downtown and exhibits paintings, sculptures from artist who lived and worked on the French Riviera. It is kind of small museum but still interesting. I was there with my family early just before opening time(google map only shows opening hours during summertime)but it was closed because they have different opening hours during wintertime. Check my photo if you plan to visit during wintertime.

Poorly maintained and run museum. Their website is atrocious and unusable. There was hardly anything to see. Granted, they told us they were getting ready for a showing and some of the museum's parts were closed. It seems these "museums" in nice are really just there to milk visitors to the city. Even with the discounted rate it's not worth the money and the time.

(Translated by Google) This very nice museum, free, in the beautiful setting of the fortress of Villefranche, allows you to discover outdoors, or in the old powder magazines the works of Volti, a disciple of Maillol that magnifies the sensual forms of the body of the woman.

It is a small but beautiful collection. We discovered names and styles, and it was a peaceful environment. The staff was very helpful.

A fine display of finer art from French masters; all housed in bourgeoisie opulence. As I walked along creaky floorboards and gazed surprisingly at tattered dishevelled wall paintings I saw vivid beauty. The hung collections range from the masterful to the colourful to the illustrative.

I have visited many museums on Cote D'Azur (Matisse, Chagall (Nice), Picasso (Antibes) and this one of Volti has been by far the best. Small, intimate, with so much beauty and in a beautiful setting. Plus entrance free. Thank you!

Nice museum, maybe there were too little painting but it was nice. If you’re a student you enter for free, if not you pay €10. The museum was clean and the staff was nice.

Splendid location, astounding collection. Looking forward to a return trip one day. Highly recommend. [Redacted until google AI review their inappropriate obscenity filter. Art (at the very least) is not a territory where restriction of reviewer expression should be allowed a negligence pass.]

Very nice classical art. I would particularly recommend discovering or rediscovering Jules Chéret's art, very singular and beautiful.

A nice arts museum in a beautiful building. It was quiet when we visited, so it felt peaceful walking around seeing the paintings and sculpture. There's traces of frescos on some of the walls, it must have been fantastic when it was first built.

A wonderful museum. Would recommend getting a €15 euro ticket which gives you access to about 10 other museums in Nice within 96 hrs - absolute bargain!

The building itself is quite tired on the inside probably difficult to decorate due to frescos on the walls but lots of peeling paint. Some great artefacts particularly sculptures. The lady in a veil is absolutely stunning. As is the combined stone and bronze piece.

A museum where art is being uncovered under the white-wash. Exhibit Fleurs D'Artifice 18 June-30 Oct 22- a diverse selection of artists, time periods and mediums. Staff were very sweet and helped me purchase my Museum Pass. The collection has pieces from 14th to the 20th century Artists- Bronzino , B. Zenale , Jan Brueghel de Velours , H. Fragonard , J.Chéret, GA Mossa , R. Duty. The building originally built for a Ukranian Princess and the exhibition moved in in the 1920s Joules Chéret designed the labels for Rimmel perfume bottles and his posters are now collected as art works.

Very nice but it needs a bit of care. The ceiling painting and some walls are falling apart. It’s a shame because it is a beautiful place.

This is a typical museum about France and Nice. Arts are from famous artist like, Rodin, Picaso, Matisse. The museum premises are part of the admiration, because on the wall are fresque and museum house from art noveau. I can reccomend this place.

Quite a random collection of works of fine art. No recognisable order of working through the museum. A couple of rooms were closed when I visited but the ticket booth reduced the price of admission to compensate, which I thought was kind. There's a English print out they will give you if you ask for a guide. Worth it if you have an hour and €10 to spare.

(Translated by Google) A nice museum of local importance located in a medieval fortress. Every year, as I am in Nice, I definitely come here on the way to or from the beach. Admission is free, there are no masterpieces, but there are very lovely sculptures. (Original) Симпатичный музей местного значения, расположенный в средневековой крепости. Каждый год как бываю в Ницце обязательно сюда захожу по дороге на или с пляжа. Вход бесплатный, шедевров нет, но есть очень милые скульптуры.

A beautiful building with some enormous pieces on display. The upstairs was closed and we paid a reduced fare in but I felt they could have charged even less as the amount of artworks was small. The gardens were a lovely pitstop to soak up the sun. Again the building is impressive and beautiful and the size of the rooms lend well to the large pieces on display.
