Although the door was open and we were there prior to closing time - we were turned away. 2nd attempt- prior to our visit we had been shopping in the area. We had 2 bags and 2 clean rolled beach blankets. Keep in mind every other museum we have visited makes allowances for items by having lockers available or accepting items be placed in a specific area. We were rudely told we could not come in. - the woman behind the desk was arrogant and unpleasant. We will not be making a 3rd attempt. We’ve been to much higher quality museums and were kindly greeted. I felt as if we were imposing or bothersome- Never go places where you feel unwanted
