French artist Sasha Sosno designed this massive sculpture for the Central Library in Nice. The work, titled "Thinking Inside the Box," contains a clear yet important message. At a staggering 85 feet tall, the massive chinned cubic sculpture actually holds three floors of books in a perfect combination of art and education.

July 2017: This is a 30 m high and 14 m broad monumental work which artist Sacha Sosno gifted to the city of Nice. Through its most original contemporary architecture, La Tête Carrée is today one of the most famous monuments on the Côte d'Azur. Inaugurated in 2002, it is not open to the public, but houses seven floors of the Louis Nucéra library administrative offices. It stands in the heart of the city in the shape of a giant bust on which a cube is set at mouth level. At night, it is illuminated and regularly changes colour according to events. Sosno likes to bring humanity into geometric shapes and has produced many works of this kind all over the world. On the Côte d'Azur can be found his sculptures "Regard sur l'Arénas" [Look at Arénas] at the heart of Nice's business district, the Venuses embedded in the walls of the AC Hotel by Marriott and the "Guetteur" [Watcher] at the Polygone Riviera centre.

Really interesting architecture and a good guidepost for navigating the upper areas of Nice. In the evening it lights up with the French flag which I really like.

Dystopian structure in an otherwise very romantic city from an architectural point of view. Modernism shouldn’t have to be brutalistic like this and since buildings and architictecture has a large impact on people they should be made to do so in a positive way.

Had a knife pulled out and put to my throat by 3 unfortunately victimes of French discrimination in order to steal a bag of shopping. "On his mother's life he'd stab me"... Maybe consider not coming to "Nice", tensions building and this city is no longer a safe place

Square head by Sacha Sosno, a magnificent piece of art. Has 7 floors I read, 2 are in the neck... hehe! Great place to see and nice selfie spot if you're passing through Nice, along the tour bus route so definitely unmissable. Opposite the Acropolis so short walking distance if at the congress palace or Palais Des Congres.

It is an incredible construction from outside, in the old town, there is a museum inside but if you don't want to go to the museum just go there and have a look at the building

This park has one gate open only and is a haven for unsavoury types. Stay clear with a family.
