In my view the best opera in the world. None of this pseudo modern stuff that others favor. Here you get the freshly created period costumes, the fantastic wigs and make up, the beautiful fresh voices in beautiful talented singers, technology and light are used to enhance decors, not to replace them. Bring a fur jacket because the AC is often well beyond comfortable ( zero stars to the AC technician! )

We went to see the Fantom of the Opera show on Christmas eve and it was magical. An experience worth doing at least once in a lifetime. The show was amazing, the sound system was perfect and the venue itself simply splendid. The chairs are not very confortable for a 2.5h of sitting, but the rest of the experience makes it worth your pain. We loved it! The price was affordable: 100€ /person and we booked online long in advance to have good seats.

Hervorragende Akustik, Hightech-Bühne, sehr freundliches Personal. Aber eigentliches Juwel ist hier die Direktorin: Cecilia Bartoli höchstpersönlich.

One of the most beautiful and warm theaters in the whole world. Happy to do my debut as Alfredo in Verdi's Traviata. A luxury and pleasure to sing here.

The setting resplendent. The principles outstanding. This new production of Werther is beyond words awful. "Stupid" "overthought" come to mind.

Put your camera away in your bag then cloak it for free. Go wander through and enjoy an expensive drink in the lounge at the front. €6.50 - coke, €10 - fruit juice, €17 - long island iced tea. Make it last, enjoy the atmosphere, watch the super rich and then go use the toilets for free like the peasant you are... like me. Self cleaning toilet seats, no less ;)
