The zoo was cheap, only 3 euros for students and 6 for regular entry, but it seemed a bit too small. They seem well taken care off, but in particular some of the birds, the hippo and the monkeys seem to just need some more space. There were not many guests, probably because it's not the most impressive or well known zoo. If the living space for some of the animals could be enlarged, or if they could be transferred, I'd recommend this place for a nice short afternoon visit.

I don't approve of zoos, but this place looked cute. They had a Zoboomafoo here. Lots of animals that I hope are well taken care of. Prices are 5€ for adults and 2€50 for children. You can also couple this ticket with a ticket for the car museum and probably with the palace or aquarium as well. Small, but worth a stop if you like zoos.

Not a huge fan of zoos but we're only in Monaco a day and the rest of Princes palace stuff appeared to be closed (at least according to the website). Lots of unique species there some of which there are only a few hundred left in the wild. There are quite a few viewpoints from the zoo too that you can sit and look over the bay area. Feel sorry for the hippopotamus though, looked like it was alone and not a lot of room for it to run about.

Lots of amazing creatures, capybaras, macaws, turtles, snakes, chickens, goats, monkeys, lemurs, peacocks and a hippopotamus even!

One of the coolest animal parks I've ever visited, it's built on one of Monaco's cliff sides which makes it impressive.

Animals are so cramped and live in very dirty conditions. For a place like Monaco, I am disheartened by the conditions these animals live in.

This is really sad. The zoo is way too small for the animals and you can see how sad they are.

It looks as if the keepers are doing their best in dismal circumstances, and the animals look generally fed and not in ill health, but Monaco, particularly, with its excessive wealth, should be able to provide something more sensitive, contemporary and imaginative than this. I could barely hold back my tears at seeing animals kept in these outdated conditions. Shame on you, Monaco.

The admission fee is not very expensive (6€ for adults, 3€ for students). It sometimes felt like the cages were pretty small for the animals. Most of the animals are birds. The biggest surprise for sure was the hippo, which we definitely did not expect. There are also bats, monkeys or wallabies

Entry fee €7 /person. Small very convenient walk around! Kids friendly, has public toilet, you can purchase food inside with the coins and feed the domestic animals all are welcomed! Enjoy the great view from the top hill... And great view of dock..

Nice little zoo in the heart of Monaco for a reasonable price. Some of the animals had nice clean cages and enough space. However, the main attraction - their hippo was not in such a good conditions and I would not be surprised if he is suffering from depression due to loneliness and a lack of vegetation in his cage :(

Visited in May 2023. It's a little place where you won't see tigers or elephants. There's a hipo though. Little crocodiles, turtles, different rodents, peacocks and quite good collection of birds, some of them I haven't seen in other, much bigger zoos. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The zoo is amazing but the person selling the tickets is rude , no friendly at all, happy not to let people in, as if he is powerful. I come to the zoo regularly but i don’t want to come and see this face at the entrance again. It’s a shame to have someone like this in such a nice place.

The highlight of our trip. I may love animals and exquisite gardens more than most, but this stop did not disappoint!

Eintritt sehr günstig; sehr klein, keine Großtiere. Pfau ist mittendrin rumgelaufen. Was für kleine Kinder und Familien; wir hatten trotzdem spass.

Great little animal park with an amazing view! Very reasonable price too. Much better then the other animal parks we came across in southern France. Animals are taken care of very well, small downside is that the cages are sometimes on the small side

Beautiful place to spend some time with family watching animals. The most exciting is for sure the hippo POLLUX saved from a failing circus by the prince of Monaco himself.

Very reasonable price to see such beautiful creatures on with an amazing view. It won't take you more than an hour to get through but your great will melt at some of the more furry creatures and even some of the more scaly ones. Totally recommended, one start off only due to the hippo enclosure looking all too small for this beast.

A friendly place which combines nice surroundings and views, two small playgrounds, proper toilet facilities and of course a bunch of animals. Do not expect large animals (except for a hippo), but there is a good variety. 50ct pieces will buy you bird feed etc.

Animal habitats seen really poor. I don't think that must be a good place for them.

  • 5/5 Alberta S. 4 years ago on Google
My kids love it. They are able to move around freely and independently. That's the fun of having a small but really well equipped and organised animal garden. The kids love the little play area too. Best point, animals have not been taken from the wild, but removed from places where they suffered abuse and maltreatment. Great morning or afternoon fun.

I have visited the zoo in Monaco in summer 2020, it is the smallest zoo that I have ever seen in my life! But so nice and efficient replacement! There are the following animals: hippopotamus, hogs, monkeys, parrots, flamingo, snakes, tarantulas, lambs and many others. So will be sure that you will not regret about visit!
