This is a fine traditional hotel with loyal French staff who maintain a friendly, but disciplined approach to service. The rooms are bijou which may require a occasional pirouette if you have travel with a larger partner. The breakfasts are charming, spoilt only by the occasional AA ( American and Australian) failing to abandon their mobile phone and incapable of lowering their voice when phoning home to say how marvellous it is here in the old world. Otherwise perfect. Thank you team. The views are spectacular, the walk from town health enhancing.

What a wonderful hotel to find in Nice. Traditional but with very comfortable beds, spacious rooms, amazing buffet breakfast for a small hotel and very helpful multilingual staff. Excellent price. And so nice to find a hotel in quiet surroundings, just 10 minutes walk to the centre of Nice.

We absolutely loved this place. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was fantastic and the views beautiful. The small feel of the hotel along with the location were perfect for relaxing, while also giving us the option to quickly get down to the hustle and bustle of old Nice. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I am so glad to discover this hotel that is situated in a quiet chic area of Nice yet very close to the city center. It is truly a small Palace just like its name. The reason that i liked Hotel du Petit Palais is because the hotel is very personal, clean, and full of character and all the staff with no exception were very pleasant to me. Thank you again for the memorable stay and hope to see you again in the near future.

Really enjoyed this hotel! Beautiful little spot high up on a hill overlooking Nice with sea views. We had terrible weather during our stay, and we still really enjoyed this property. The garden area is beautiful and quiet and our private balcony was wonderful too (would have been better without the rain, but oh well). Staff are very friendly and attentive. I will caution if you are in Nice for a conference at the Acropolis, this is a bit of a walk up hill (15 minutes) or so. If you value seclusion from the noise of the city, then it is worth the effort. I will say, as my drunken self found out, room service was misleadingly not open till the stated 0200. This may have been impacted by the fact that it was off season during our stay, but I still really wanted a sandwich! ha ha

Petit Palais is the most incredible hotel. You can’t fail to fall in love with this Belle Epoque beauty. Surrounded by trees and overlooking the red rooftops and azur sea, it’s breathtakingly beautiful here and so tranquil. It’s refreshingly calm and peaceful with birdsong rather than the usual roar of cars in Nice. The neighbourhood is the best. I wish I could move in! On the terrace you’ll feel like you’re in an F.S.Fitzgerald novel. It is effortlessly understated, glamour and style. And the beds are divine. We had our deepest and best sleeps ever and to wake up to the view - ah, it’s perfect. The decor is gorgeous. Philip and Daniel provide exceptional customer service, everything is a breeze and it will feel impossible to leave! As soon as we arrived, our shoulders dropped and we relaxed. Paradise. In Nice, it’s a luxury to escape the cars and noise and find tranquility - it’s heavenly. We’re already hatching plans to return. We’ve travelled for years and this is the best place we’ve ever stayed. Don’t hesitate to book. It will make your holiday. Thank you Petit Palais for making us fall in love with Nice. A bientot! xx

Fabulous boutique hotel. The rooms are lovely. We had a view out to the sea, which was gorgeous. The rooms do not have a USB port, so need to bring your plug! The breakfast was really nice, with the option for a full breakfast or just coffee and croissant. There is a lovely terrace where we had a pre-dinner drink every evening. It is a really peaceful location away from the hustle of the centre. It's an easy walk down to town 15 mins, coming back is steep but doable. Ubers are easily available from the hotel and from the centre and are much cheaper than the hotel's taxi company. The staff are so friendly and helpful. they can organise everything for you. There is also a small pool with loungers which gets the sun until about 17:00. Really peaceful. I would definietly stay there again.

I highly recommend and will be happy to come back myself ! Thank you!

Beautiful view from a great room! Slightly over priced but felt very relaxed and enjoyed my stay. The hotel itself is a bit out of the way and up a hill which was made me a little uneasy traveling alone. The staff however were great.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in a quiet location with a wonderful view. It is a petit hotel that does not want to be known too much, and is a true hideaway. The building and gardens are full of a resort atmosphere and very comfortable. The staff was cheerful, very friendly and professional, and very agreeable. I am sure I will visit again someday. I would like to stay in a room with a balcony overlooking the sea.

Great hotel, great location, great service, great views. The hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood up on a hill overlooking the city. It is about a 15 minute walk to town...be warned that the hill is fairly steep. Coming back after dinner you might consider taking a cab. Our room had a wonderful view of the city and the sea. Breakfast was really excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. They recommended (and booked) a great restaurant for us for dinner. I would come back.

Location was perfect, 15 min walk through the lovely old town to the beach. Rooms are great, do the job nicely. Staff are very nice, (David from the front desk was one of the most friendly and professional receptionist we've ever seen !) When leaving we left our bags there for 8 hours as we had a late flight. They locked them away for us and let us keep popping back in to get changed/pick things up etc. Breakfast was nice, standard kind of buffet. Over all it was great and I'd recommend to everyone!

Had a wonderful experience at Hôtel du Petit Palais! Phillipe was great and made us feel very welcome! Breakfast in the morning was great and had many gluten free options. Even though the hotel is not in central Nice (about a 20 min walk to Place Massena), I highly recommend staying there!

My wife and I had a perfectly charming experience here. The location, on a quiet, walkable street perched on a hill above the hustle and bustle of central Nice, was a wonderful oasis to come home to and wake up to. If you are not a walker, you may need a taxi ride home in the evening. The knowledge and attentiveness of the staff, the breakfast, and the room were all as good or better than any of the 7 hotels we stayed in during our vacation to France. I recommend booking a room with a view of the Mediterranean.

Nice and quiet hotel with very kind and helpful staff. The garden is fantastic and breakfast there is just only to enjoy. Walking distance to restaurants and old town makes the location perfect. Quiet with garden centrally located. It cannot be better. And the staff knowing your first name when you arrive, makes impression.

Highly recommend le Petit Palais who welcomed us for our weekend gate away in Nice. Staff was very accommodating, allowing us to move into our room a little early as it was available. Very good recommendations from the concierge for lunch and dinner.

Wonderful boutique hotel in the hills above downtown Nice with beautiful views of the city and the sea beyond. The staff are excellent - friendly and happy to help with suggestions for the best beaches and restaurants. The room was comfortable as were the beds - the balconies are small - you can't really sit out there, but they provide a great view. The full breakfast was good - plenty of fruit; charcuterie; baked goods; etc The pool is tiny, but refreshing for a quick dip after a long day walking in the summer heat. All in all, a very pleasant stay
