Updating review the hotel management reached out and apologized for the poor experience and made it right. Thank you for caring about my experience. Great location right where you want to be staying for a week in Nice! We had an absolute blast and wonderful time. Hotel marked down due to lack of equal treatment from staff. Serge should be looking into a huge overhaul of training and respect for all customers. He treats you like a child and puts other guests a head of you. He got a note to please contact our room because he was missing from the concierge desk when we stopped by waited 45 minutes when was told it’d be a few minutes to go down and have him tell us “let me guess room ***” to which I politely said yes then he responded “well I got the note but I can’t let you use the luggage scale because a guest tomorrow morning needs it.” Taken a back I began to speak when he said “well I guess I can follow you to your room and then when you’re don’t bring it back down.” We are not school children we are adults paying money to stay at your hotel and services. I’m the guest with you now so please just take care of me. He was dismissive and after we advised we are late for dinner reservations due to him he didn’t care and said you can let my “friend know when you come back that I said you can use it as long as it’s back to night for my other guest not guests one in particular. He’s “friend” had the same dismissive attitude and advised us that we had to bring it back tonight as well. Say again that guest needs it in the morning. I have no issue with being a team player and bringing it back but I don’t need to be spoken down to and treated poorly for not meeting whatever Serge wants met. I manage a team of 25 people required to provide customer service and I would be for trying to train and firing in no improvement. In the photos are the two best staff in the hotel we interacted with knowing how to treat all customers the same!

(Translated by Google) Hotel located in Old Nice. Located on the cliff at the end of Nice Beach, the view is right overlooking the observation deck. The facilities are good and it is a walking distance towards Marchena Massena Square. Staff reception is also good. A paid valet is available, but it has the disadvantage that it takes a long time to find the car. (Original) Old Nice에 위치한 호텔.

The hotel is lovely in a wonderful location for viewing the sea and walking through old town or climbing Castle Hill. The staff from front desk to housekeeping are so pleasant and helpful. The rooms and the hotel itself are very nice and pleasing. The beds and pillows are firm if you like that when sleeping (I prefer a softer bed with feather pillows myself). The pool and area around the pool was very relaxing and lovely to enjoy a warm afternoon sun bathe. Room service was excellent, from the food to the delivery presentation. However, we were quite disappointed in the breakfast buffet and bar service. Many of the foods that should have been served warm (like pancakes) were cold and the scrambled eggs were always runny. It was quite the departure from the level of quality experienced in the rest of the hotel. Overall it was a lovely stay but I would recommend an improvement on breakfast.

Visited in August 2021 - breakfast was excellent and you have a large variety to choose from! You must go before 09:30AM for breakfast to grab good seats with view to the sea. Room was big and with balcony. Pool is big enough and not deep so also good for people that don’t swim well. Hotel requires renovation/investment to bring to a 5 Star rating that can be expected for a 2021 Standard - it’s more like a very good 4 Star Plus Hotel. Location is excellent ! Enjoyed the stay - recommended !

We loved our stay at the Hyatt Regency! Upon arrival, we were personally greeted and welcomed to the hotel. The room we had was large (thanks to an available upgrade) and it was really nice to be able to spread out. Breakfast was fantastic - and outdoor seating just added to the atmosphere. We also needed something printed - and the staff was so helpful in making that happen. Highly recommend this hotel when staying in Nice!

Choosing Hotel La Perouse we hoped to spend a fulfilling stay. Unfortunately, the reality was quite different than expected. First off, the hotel is very old and there is unpleasant smell of mould all over the room. Aerating the room hasn’t helped. Secondly, it’s impossible not to be awakened by strong smells coming from the kitchen. Furthermore, paying for breakfast 25 euro we expect something more, for sure better quality of food. The hotels offers a private parking for 25 euro, which is located quite far away – waiting for a car takes around 20 minutes because a hotel staff, which park the car, need time to reach it themselves. We accepted an offer because it’s impossible to find any available and free parking at night, especially in the area the hotel is located. Last evening before our leaving, a hotel employee ROBERTO MILO refused to park our car, arguing it’s too late because at 11 pm there is nobody who can take our car to the garage (nobody told us about it before!) Anyway, that was really strange because it was 10:57 pm. And, when we asked him what should we do then he just said he don’t know, it’s not his problem!!!!!!!!!!, throwing something in some unclear italian language  - we could only guess what he had said... We were shocked and confused. He didn’t offer us any help. He hadn’t even suggested us where to look for a parking. We didn’t expected that at all. A day after incident we presented everything to the hotel manager. Instead of give an apology and confess that the behavior of their employee ROBERTO MILO was unproper and not reflecting the level of the hotel they spread, we were offered compensation for this night.  By the way, they didn’t perform the compensation to us!  The manager tricked us to quickly resolve the issue. HEINOUS STAFF!

I tried to enter but they denied me entry because I was a non-EU national with a PCR test. The staff member insisted I be an EU national with France Covid QR code. Terrible staff who prepared to call security when I protested. Would avoid at all costs

At €420 a night: breakfast not included, a restaurant with no atmosphere or appealing menu, empty minibar, no decor or space in the room, generic toiletries attached to the wall. The moulding walls were complimentary though.

POSITIVE: Great central location and very friendly staff NEGATIVE: Crazily over-priced. Paid €400 for a tiny room with almost no view. Decor outdated and maintenance urgently required. Parking impossible unless you use the €25/night valet option. Pool area reminds of a Motel.

Spent first few days of our honeymoon here and it was phenomenal. The staff are very kind and accommodating. Room was great .. the view wasn’t the best ( courtyard) but will absolutely return in the future.

Well situated hotel with instant access to the beach and very walkable to old town, city square and surrounding restaurants. Staff is helpful, speak English and are friendly/accommodating. Amenities are also well maintained. The terrace is calming and the pool is spotless with ample towels and service if needed. Rooms are spacious, especially compared to European standards and the cleaning service is great. We returned to our room each evening and it was tidied up really well. Haven’t had to call for extra services or missed items yet! Location is also about 10-12 minute walk to the train station if you want to visit surrounding towns along the Côte d’Azur. We’d certainly consider staying here again if we return to the Riviera. Hyatt properties tend to be top notch and this Regency upholds the standard well.

Well-located hotel but old and tired entry-level rooms. The hotel’s location is wonderful and a short walk from the main shopping and dining areas in Nice. However, the King Room we booked was something out of the 90s. The disparity between non-refurbished rooms and refurbished rooms should be fairly significant, book the entry level rooms without sea view at your own risk.

Loved this hotel. Beautiful, clean and comfortable. Perfect location within a short walk to Old Nice and overlooking the sea. All of the staff were so nice, especially the concierge! Next time in Nice I'll definitely stay here!

Location is excellent! The staff is amazing too, especially we’d like to give a shoutout to the guy at the concierge. Apologies that we didn’t get his name- he was tall and wore glasses. We’d like to thank him for all his help! Our room wasn’t ready until after 3pm, but we were upgraded to a suite room which was so spacious! We’d love to stay here again.

We are halfway through our 12 night stay at the Hyatt Regency and felt that we would like to give a review of our experiences so far. We are in a king mountain view room at the back of the hotel with spectacular mountain and city views. The room is bright and airy and being at the back is absolutely peaceful and quiet. The housekeeping is excellent with nothing too much trouble. The staff on the front desk are friendly and did everything to satisfy our needs. Breakfast on the terrace is superb and served by the friendliest of staff, the food in the restaurant is first class The pool area is kept meticulously clean with plenty of fresh towels available. The steam and sauna facilities are amongst the best I have ever seen. The hotel is perfectly placed for the town centre and beach access and the bus stop is outside the entrance….what more do you need? We are looking forward to the next few days and will be sorry to leave!

We stayed here and the Hotel is pretty good and in a good location within good access to the beach. Upon arrival we were asked to pay 500e deposit for just in case we used any services, which I felt was a bit odd as I have never been asked to pay in advance and usually settle the bill at the end. Now I know why... the charges are very high for anything, especially lunch which was a whopping 128e (we drank water). Then they operate in cahoots with Raul Beach, again we were caught out. We obtained vouchers from the Hotel (they charge your room) then we got charged AGAIN at Raul Beach for 2 of the days! We showed evidence that we had paid for the sun loungers but they still chose to deduct the funds from our deposit without our consent! It is for this reason only I rate the Hotel as a bad experience, it is not the money as such but principle that we showed proof we had already paid for the loungers but they still proceeded to "deduct funds" from our cards without our consent.

Stayed there for the weekend getaway. Absolutely loved it! Amazing location. Right in front of the sea, very near to the old town and other main areas. Great service and comfortable room. Has a garage for guests. I recommend this hotel 👍

Overall, we had a decent stay but we have seen far better cat. 6 Hyatt hotels. The hotel seems dated, especially rooms need to be renovated. Breakfast was good but nothing special. The hotel management should make sure that all personnel and guests respect the Covid policies, e.g. wearing a mask while using the elevators or at the breakfast.

Ah it's about 450 usd a night. It's not bad but not beachfront, pool is a bit boring. Allot of NEW YORKERS mainly and Americans there. Happy hour is bogo/buy one get one free. Deep pool facing a part of a mountain which is a huge rock. It gets packed with the nearly deads, "old folks". Rooms are ok for the price. For the price point in the location it's not bad.

We loved this hotel. The sea view from the room outside the balcony was magnificent. It was quaint, located in Old Town close to everything, and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend the full sea view rooms with balcony, worth the extra price. We also got the breakfast plan and it was delicious. Though pretty much the same thing everyday, there was a decent amount of choices and the dining area was large and colorful. Keep in mind we were there early January so it was an off peak time, thus the prices were much lower and not crowded. There is a little bit of maneuvering using 2 small elevators to get to the top floors. Otherwise there are stairs up, but quite a bit of a climb. Make sure this is not an issue for you. I highly recommend this hotel and have posted pictures to give a better idea.

Stayed at Hyatt Nice for a week to attend a congress. Centrally located with some rooms providing a sea view. Good service. Hotel is more of a 4 star establishment - rooms are comfortable but will need refurbishment soon. Make sure to ask for a shower if that’s your preference. Very little by way of toiletries in the bathrooms and not the best quality. Gym is on the small side but has the necessary equipment for a good workout. Reasonably big indoor pool that extend outdoors. Many restaurants in the area. A good option for the area if you’re on a business trip but won’t be my first choice for a family trip

This hyatt has some really high ratings and reviews online and is described as a 5 start hotel which is not accurate. Perhaps 30 years ago it was but it is a 3 star hotel connected to a casino in a good location. The rooms were horrible to disappointing (we were in two of them). Dirty, stained, smelly, old, and small. The pool area was ok but crazy dated. The best part of the hotel were the front of house staff which were very pleasant. Obviously we don't recommend this hotel but really we wouldn't at any price. There are so many other options in the area just go anywhere else. Even basic entry level class Hyatts are better than this one. We canceled the rest of our stay and went back to the Carlton Cannes for a real 5 star experience.

This is my second stay in the Hyatt at Nice. A great property with amazing service and staff. Very helpful and knowledgeable concierge service especially Geoffrey and Agathe. Despite being a busy hotel in summer as expected, we still Enjoyed our stay and staff was very attentive to our needs. I would very likely come back in the future.

This was definitely my highlight of our stay in Nice! Everything about this hotel is just out of this work! I love Nice but this hotel made our experience simply amazing. Would highly recommend if you want an amazing holiday weekend experience…. Special thanks to the staff for making it wonderful for my mother who I brought here to celebrate her 60th birthday….I will definitely come back here

Absolutely the best hotel to stay in Nice! Fantastic location facing the beach/Promenade des Anglais. Easy walk to shops, restaurants, and sights…and to the train station for day trips. There are buses too right outside that go to the airport and destinations along the French Riviera. But what sets this hotel apart is the management/staff. A gentleman from Reception came up to show us highlights of our room. We had a minor issue with toiletries, and it was rectified instantly and followed up with a note and more. Everyone at the concierge was outstanding. Greg went out of his way to help with our delayed luggage even after we had left the hotel. Both he and Serge exuded warmth and kindness, gave us the best restaurant recommendations, and shared insider tips for exploring Nice and beyond. They were like our family in Nice. Although we stayed at higher category Hyatts during our trip, the Hyatt Regency Nice is the one that stands out as our favorite. Highly recommended!

I attended an event here and the setting was fantastic. We visited the bar on the 3rd floor prior to the event and we were really looked after - service was distinct and professional. The event staff did an amazing job of hosting the guests attending - wine glass was never empty!

This was the best Hyatt experience. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I read through so many reviews thinking I was gambling with my vacation fate, but this was absolutely amazing. From the moment of check in through check out, it was all positive. As a globalist, I stay at many Hyatt hotels, and this was just a very special experience. If you go, be sure to work with Nicholas (concierge) who worked magic at the last minute to make reservations on a holiday at two fabulous restaurants. Highly recommend!!

Very average dinning and drinks experience. The view is also over rated. Your in nice and you want to over look the nice coastline and city together. I love Hyatt's when I stay in America not for vacations. Your in Nice, France - you can do better.

The rooms were NOTHING like the pictures they posted on instagram and online. We were expecting a great room (We were not even expecting to have a sea view) but you would think that the view would be acceptable. We overlook TURF GRASS (I mean TURF GRASS come on) no buildings, not even a parking lot. We look at other rooms and FAKE GRASS. The rooms are bare minimum, probably haven’t been renovated in a few decades. Now I believe that the rooms that have nicer views are the ones that are renovated and nicer. But we needed a family room (pretty much 2 rooms) and they put us in the very back of the building overlooking TURF GRASS.

Great service and location. Room is spacious but bathroom layout can be improved (shower is behind the door, you need a very steady hand to regulate water temperature). Only tea in the room (which might be normal).

An amazing Hotel with service and hospitality that are second to none! The hotel is in walking distance to anything you may need. Also, the views from the hotel overlooking the Mediterranean are awesome. Lucille at the breakfast location was very hospitable, and the General Manager made it a point to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. 10 out of 10 Highly Recommend!

Upon our arrival, we were greeted so promptly. All the staff was very friendly and professional. The concierge was amazing, and helped our experience more enjoyable! They even helped with setting us up to use the electric scooters. Our room was beautiful with a magnificent view of the sea. The only thing I would I would say, is the food prices for breakfast and dinner were very high compare to the restaurants right around the area. The breakfasts buffet was a little pricey for what you got, compare going to the cafe/pastry shop right down the road. This hotel was very centralized around a lot and maybe 15 minute walk to old nice. I would definitely stay here again!

Overall, 3 star review because some parts of the hotel were top-notch and the other parts were simply unacceptable for what is claimed to be a five-star luxury resort. Starting with a positive, the view from the seaside rooms is fantastic and the rooms are quite large in size. On top of that, the check-in staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet is worth absolutely every penny. Now for the negatives. The on-site restaurant for dinner is an absolute waste of time and money. For a five-star resort I expected great food especially for the price that they charge. I had to send back my food and go out for dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Great Location. Very nice and clean hotel. Very lovely and big rooms. The staff are very welcoming and ready to assist at any time. Specially the concierge team, they were ready to help as much as they can. The plan was to stay in the hotel for three nights only. However due to the way the staff were tearing us, we decided to extend our stay in the same hotel. Finally I would like to extend my thanks to Mr. Girardot , the room’s manager who was very cooperative and helpful. This hotel will be my first choice always for any future visits to Nice.

This hotel was amazing! We got to the hotel to check in and our room was not ready because we got there too early. The gentleman at the front desk told us we could leave our bags and use the restroom in the pool area to shower. When we were done, we went to eat and they called us when our room was ready. The entire staff was friendly!! Our room had a sea view and it was beautiful in the morning when we had breakfast on our balcony. The location was perfect!! It was a dream!!

Outstanding staff service and breakfast! We loved the welcome aperitif. This location was perfect for walking along the promenade. Just a couple blocks over lies great shopping and a lively row of night life restaurants. The only issue is that the hotel rooms have a fairly dated look for the price point.

Hotel is nice and clean, everythig is nearby, but it is not recommended to walk along the beach during the night. Vews are good, shops good as well. Lot's of good little restaurants there, look for the restaurants with lots of customers inside, if you are hungry when it's late, order food to your room ans stay safe.

(Translated by Google) Very pretty hotel on the slopes of the Chateau hill in Nice, at the start of the Promenade des Anglais. Ideally located by the sea, close to the old town and the port, the hotel is nonetheless very quiet as it is above a group of buildings bordering the road. Its terrace with a pretty little swimming pool and its restaurant shaded by beautiful lemon trees is a delight. The rooms are spacious and the service impeccable. The restaurant and its epicurean menu must be tested. (Original) Très joli hôtel sur les flancs de la colline du Château à Nice, au début de la promenade des Anglais. Improvements to be made urgently (quality breakfast, plumbing to be reviewed, no porter available at departure, sauna off, no semi-blackout curtain, entrance to the quay rather ugly, walls of the rooms in bad taste etc. ). For the rest, it was almost good enough to forget the flaws, 3 nights too short so we'll be back very soon. We stayed for a week in this pleasant hotel at the base of the “Château”. Our room had a large terrace overlooking the sea and could not have been more charming. The staff was attentive and the breakfasts were very good. The hotel’s location was terrific, on the edge of the old town and across the street from the promenade. Overall, a fine hotel with a good staff and location. Not a bad combination.

Built into the side of a cliff just below the city park. Magical. The world's tiniest elevators (three people is the limit if they're all small). Great pool, wonderful view. The gym seems claustrophobic but you open the doors and smell gardenias, lilac and hear the according player at the park overlook... Just great. You walk through the restaurant to get to the pool, but that's just fine. Food is very good but expensive compared to many local choices. Great breakfast.

The fact that this hotel is part of Small Luxury Hotels builds up expectations. And the experience does not meet that unfortunately. The hotel needs a makeover, from the reception and up. Some very nice facilities like swimming pool, rooftop terrace and jacuzzi. Good bed and turn down service. But you don’t feel like a 4 star hotel, and it does not live up to the pictures on website or description. Booking on their website gives you complimentary breakfast, something we did not do. Location is good, between port and old town.

Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a cheap deal and for the money it was excellent value. Buffet breakfast was far more diverse than expected. Would definitely return.

(Translated by Google) Room reserved for a birthday, as a couple. I asked for a nice view of the sea if possible. Upon arrival, we learn that we have been upgraded to a suite with incredible views, double exposure to the sea and the bay and the city. Glass of champagne offered at the bar. Small balcony to enjoy. Very well soundproofed, you can't hear the planes. Nespresso in the room. Impeccable service, very good breakfast. The setting is original, full of levels, outside passage. The staff are very attentive while remaining discreet. Convenient location close to the old town and Massena. Valet parking for an underground parking nearby, don't hesitate, it's the same price as parking alone. Truly an unforgettable experience and weekend. Thank you to the hotel La Pérouse.
