The pics make if seem like really nice rooms but this place is average at best. Look elsewhere for a better value. Also the pool deck looks huge in pics but you can't see the ocean from the pool and you literally have to climb over people just to go around it.

The view from our balcony was amazing! Amenities were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Le Meridien, Nice.

I stayed at this hotel for work. The hotel was beautiful and they upgraded my room to an executive suite because of my status with Marriott. I usually don’t let housekeeping clean my rooms because I’m a very clean person so I always put the do not disturb sign on and I only get it cleaned after a few days of me staying there. Somehow my do not disturb sign was knocked off or maybe taken off on purspose. So housekeeping came in and clean my room, well they put new bottles of water in there. I travel with multiple purses to match different outfits. I left one of my purses and took a small bag because I was headed out to explore Nice. All my belongings were on the bed as I dumped my purse out. When I got back I had $200 missing. I immediately reported it to the front desk. The front desk said they will check with housekeeping. Housekeeping made a claim that they never took the money. They also said that they recorded and took photos of my belongings. In which I thought was very weird and obviously to cover their tracks smh. I know for a fact this hotels staff members took my money and they never did anything about it. It was really disheartening and I really felt very disappointing that Marriott treated me like this. This is my first time visiting Nice France and this was the most horrible experience ever. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel especially because their staff steals and they do nothing about it.

Booked the hotel with my points. We were staying in Nice for two days before flying back to Dubai. Glad I did not pay for it considering the price. Nothing special aside from the location. They have no parking, no private beach, mini bar was empty, rooms are standard for a Meridien. Swimming pool was decent. Not an experience I would reiterate.

The view is great and you have a nice terrace but the noise of constant moving of chairs and tables of the restaurant and bar is very loud and annoying and stops around 2 in the night and starts at 7 in the morning again. Eventhough I have Elite gold status at Marriott Bonvoy, they couldn't even upgrade me to a higher floor. Check in was slow and confusing, there was at least 20 people crowded at the small reception. The room had a view to the service inner court of the hotel. The pool is a joke, it's so small it can't barely fit the loungers. To be given a table at the terrace (even as guests), we needed to order food. We had the seabass and it was probably the worst food in the entire trip. Cocktails were ok. Eventhough the waiters were trying really hard, the service was slow and innefficient. There was a nice jazz trio playing, the reason to my 3 stars. Would definitely not come back.

Had a garden/ ocean facing executive room with a large balcony; slightly impcated by the next door construction site. However activity stopped in the early afternoon/ on weekends. The hotel does not have own parking; the nearby public garage is a nightmare. Very narrow and dark with difficult to find access to the hotel; partially only via stairs. Although we had prepaid for the time of our vacation; sometimes no available spaces left. Biggest issue for us was the lack of room service. Except for breakfast, no room service available at all. Only option is the "Grab & Go" corner in the lobby. Food comes in cheap plastic containers with wooden cutlery. Quality is awful and varitiy very limited ... depending on the time of the day. Definitely not Le Meridien standard! Please change that! Overall, good vacation, but would not come back due to the missing room service.

Restaurant scene around the hotel is the best you can hope for. Not sure about value for price though. I would think you are paying for location perhaps as it is in the middle of everything.

Nice hotel, friendly and professional staff. View from my room was amazing, breakfast was delivered to my room every morning, with right temperature... Location was nice too. Only a few blocks from restaurants/cafes/pharmacy, and about 10 min. walk to the old town. I'd like to come back again!

Absolutely beautiful hotel with excellent views & service!! We stayed in a “city-view” room with a balcony which I loved! The location is perfect, right off the beach/boardwalk & less than 5 min walk to old nice. We definitely will be back & will be recommending this hotel to friends! My only complaint is the rooftop bar is so popular that it’s pretty hard to get a table there for drinks.

Stayed overnight (whilst attending the Nice Carnival). Very different from my previous stays. Room was nice but extremely basic (Charlie and Peanut clearly made themselves at home). Air conditioning did not seem to work. The Rooftop area was very busy including a big queue of people awaiting tables. Slightly disappointed but good for the hotel. No room service any longer. Meant to pick up food from the 24/7 Grab and Go - a small refrigerated unit near reception. Although 24/7 no sandwiches or food was available at 2200 approx. Also told no hotels in Nice operate room service. Clearly incorrect as my friends staying at Negresco had room service. Breakfast pricey but delicious. Overall, I was disappointed with my stay this time. Unlikely to stay again.

It is understandable that the door downstairs opens and closes a great deal, but when we tried to enjoy a drink at the lobby far, we found the flies rather distracting and soon left for our room. - The terrace bar and restaurant are a pull for this hotel. We attempted to have a drink at the bar at 3 pm on a Sunday and were turned away for not having a reservation in spite of numerous visually open seats. - The rooftop pool is small and offers little room for seating. - They claim to provide discounts at the beach for chairs and umbrella reservations but fail to inform you that you will need a reservation days in advance. We found an additional spot sans discount down the beach. - Uninformed. We were traveling with children and asked for child-friendly activities in the area. We were given minimal information but found on our own that there is an amazing splash pad just a block away where we found all the local children enjoying the warm day. It was wonderful! Had we only known about it a few days sooner! - Do not attempt to eat outside food in the lobby. Even though the rooftop terrace offers slow or unavailable service, if you attempt to eat outside food in the lobby (in the company of flies) you will be told it is not allowed. - The air conditioning (at least in our room) was minimal and we sweated our way through each night. - The power went out. One morning the power in our room was out for about 30 minutes. We have no idea why. When we left to go down to inform the staff, it turned back on. As noted, the location of this hotel is ideal. I really enjoyed Le Meridien Nice. The location and views were great. Breakfast was not included and the overall hotel cost was very pricey. I really wished the pool and restaurant rooftop bar stayed open later. Apparently we were there the same time some celebrities were as well. We had an interior courtyard room but stayed in there so little and enjoyed the rest of the hotel so much that it really didn't matter much. They took good care of our luggage and transportation needs as well. It made for a great few days.

I had a 2 night stay following a work trip. On the first evening my room air conditioning was not working and it was quite warm. Their “tech” confused the temperature with the fan speed and cranked up the heat (for the record that worked). After a little back and forth they changed my room. Slightly better but probably bc the view faced a different direction the room was warm but not as hot. I barely slept the first night (room change happened at around 1 or 2 am after an hour of them investigating). Second night still no cool air so I notified the front desk again who said they’d notify someone. On my way to the room I saw someone working on the hallway control room and asked him about it. He said they did not notify him of any air conditioning that needed repair and he rapidly worked it out and fixed it (climbing into the ceiling of my room and adding Freon it appeared). Luckily for this I got some sleep. Disappointed that I had to do this myself and could not trust the hotel. On checkout they offered no compensation. On an upside I did have a spa treatment which was fantastic. Highly recommend. Even their steam room was a good temperature unlike many. Food at restaurants is ok- better for the view than the food. Would recommend walking a bit into town to get better quality. Area is great. Walkability is fantastic. The pool is not quite as advertised which is unfortunate since this was a reason I chose this place. It’s very small and not overlooking the ocean and not infinity. Only downside to location is the exterior can get quite loud at night.

The Le Méridien Nice is ideally located at the Promenade des Anglais in Nice. A prime location giving access to the city and ocean. The hotel has nicely renovated rooms that are quite spacious; however the hallways seem very outdated, showing many signs of wear and tear in an outdated style. It differs from the lobby and entrance vibe as well as the style of the rooms. Anyone we met was nice and friendly in their demeanor and we had a good time. I would definitely return.

Excellent property. The room upgrade I received was spectacular, the front desk staff were always helpful, and the views from the rooftop balcony were lovely. The pool up top was a bit chilly for winter, but it was a nice touch and would be wonderful to enjoy in warmer weather. Breakfast downstairs each day was nice and filling.

The food was poorly done when it finally arrived after a much longer wait. The medium rare steak was almost medium well and lukewarm. The potatoes were cold. We were given a container of bread with no bread plates. Very disappointed given the location and price.

Love this hotel. The rooms are great in size and beautiful, especially if you can get a room with a view. There was a Finnish lady at reception that was so kind and helpful, others were not so friendly. They also have great breakfast. This was the first time I saw asian porridge for breakfast at a hotel and it was delicious. Walking distance to everything. Only con would be their tiny pool and no space to lay out so just go to the beach.

I just stayed at the Le Meridien Nice for 2 nights with my son (10 years). I checked in with Pascale at the front desk and was greeted with a truly warm and genuine welcome to the hotel. Pascale went above and beyond to accommodate my request during check-in. I can tell that she takes a lot of pride in her line of work. Throughout our stay we were always greeted with a friendly smile from all staff in the hotel. My son loved the heated pool on the roof top terrace. He‘d go for a dip in the sea across the street from the hotel followed by enjoying the warm pool. Thanks again Pascale and colleagues to make our stay a really memorable one. Rest assured we will be back!

The location is fantastic. It’s right across the street of the beach, next to a lot of food choices. We originally had the sea-front room with small balcony, but got an upgrade to a bigger room with garden and sea view and a terrace. The room was pretty nice. The staff were nice and friendly as well. There was only one issue, that is the cleanliness. The team was alright, but the quality of housekeeping every day is really inconsistent. Sometimes it’s really great, and sometimes it’s just not as good, as in missing shampoo or bath gels, or hair in the towels changed. We actually spotted other people’s hair three times out of the seven days we stayed there. Other than that, everything’s good.

Originally had a seafront view, but they changed us into a terrace view and I liked it as I could see both the park and the ocean. Front desk Service was good, the bar team was awesome as well. But, they definitely need to change the towels, as in get a new one. Wear and tear is normal, but if the towels start to have holes on them, they should be changed and recycled. Also, the housekeeping team was inconsistent, definitely lack SOP for a big brand like Le Meridien. The location was impeccable, lots of good restaurants nearby, and the beach is just across the street. The downside is the park would host concert from time to time, and they are allowed to blast loud music until 11:30PM, probably not that friendly for early sleepers.

Great location…but that’s it. Remarkably underwhelming quality rooms given the premium pricing. It’s like staying in the budget aisle of an IKEA (with beaten door jambs painted over time and time again) . The rooms were €700+ per night (early September)…the staff were nice, but a little disengaged. There weren’t many smiling guests. We always try and use Marriott properties, but on this occasion it was a major miss when compared to our walk around the Hyatt Regency and the Negresco, both are only minutes walk from this location. This hotel either need a major renovation, or a pricing rethink.

The hotel is in a great location. Across from the beach and close to bars, restaurants and shopping. Rooms are adequate but nothing special. My room looked out at another building, which is not ideal. There are no drawers to put clothes in and the closet is not adequate. I personally do not enjoy living out of my suitcase. For the amount of money that this hotel charges, the storage should be better. The shower is very slippery and has no safety bars which I believe is very dangerous. The rooftop pool is a joke. It may as well not exist. The breakfast was a disappointment. While on the surface, it has lots to choose from, the food is not good in general. Every day the eggs were COLD. Not luke warm, but cold. The vegetables do not seem fresh but instead seem like overcooked frozen vegetables. Other than the location across from the sea…there are finer hotels in Nice for the money. I am a very loyal Bonvoy member but will not return to this hotel unless I hear news that it has been renovated. While this trip was arranged through Viking, it does not change my impression. Honestly, the hotels that Viking chooses are typically amazing…this was not.
