when you visit a hotel (especially a hotel that is well known internationally) you except to be welcomed and treated in a good way. That was not the case in this hotel. arrived in the hotel in the given check in time they provided yet the rooms were not ready. the receptionists were highly attentive to our needs and listened us yet they didn’t do or provide us anything. And when the time they said the rooms will be ready in after the delay came . The rooms were still not ready. I will not get into details about the way some of the workers respond to customers. But it was not a way that a good worker would use. most of the hotel room was not clean . The sheets had some stains on them . The coffee machine that is provided in the hotel room is not working and is dusty and ALSO has stains of old coffee. The bathroom had issues that could be solved in less than 5 minutes ,yet they didn’t send someone until the next day. my overall rating of my stay at this hotel is 0/10 would never come back here again.

The bed was comfy enough, the staff were very nice, and the shower was good. What takes off two stars is the air conditioning really just didn’t work at all. When it’s 30+ degrees outside you really need cool rooms to sleep, so unfortunately we didn’t sleep well at all here compared to many other places we have stayed which have had perfect air con. Almost felt hotter inside on our last evening!

If I can rate in minus, I would. In this review, I will divide it into categories, starting with (Customer service): 1.1 - It took me 1 hour and 30 minutes waiting to check in for a room that should be ready at 2 pm. 1.2 - lack of checking phone of hotel and emails; before arrival in 2 days, multiple emails and reminders were sent to admin email to ensure our reservation comments were met, yet, no response that led us to wait for 1.5 like mentioned above. 1.3 - the staff from different shifts does not communicate with each other on customers' concerns as payment was made twice because no notes were put in the system. 1.4 - there is apparent prioritisation toward Arab in dealing with issues. Secondly, (room service) 2.1 - the hotel room service is not pleasing by any chance. The room was dusty/ not thoroughly cleaned or checked. 2.2 - the bathrooms are separate people (toilet seat in one room/shower mirror in another) 2.3 - they are understaffed in times of crowed (like summertime) Thirdly, (Price): 3.1 - the hotel is considered expensive for the low quality of service and variety of room options. 3.2 - the amount is the same for rooms and charged to city tax in the check-out process. 3.3 - the prices of laundry service are high with a long service time 3.4 - The refund/cancellation policy is not suitable for all customers (1 week before your stay, you have to decide whether you want to cancel to get a refund or you’ll lose the amount) In summary, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nice until it reaches Novotel standards available in other regions worldwide. I am still staying because the amount paid forces me to regardless of the lack of comfort.

Honestly; read some reviews right before coming here, and was not sure what to expect. In all honesty, the check in process was awesome, the misses at the front counter was really nice, and checked us in quick, and helped us figure out the parking situation, near the hotel. The room was a fairly decent sized room for two, the bathroom was fairly normal/ met expectations, however if you are taller, the tub is elevated, so 6’3” or taller may slight be an issue. Location was also good, did not go out at night, but during the day, was very close to all the major spots.

We stayed in the Novotel for 3 nights and it was great. Right at the beginning at our arrival, we received, to our surprise, the good news that we got a free upgrade. The room turned out to be more luxurious and more spacious than the standard rooms. The staff was hospitable and courteous round the clock. The location was fine but it could have been a bit closer to the old town. There was no carpark available at the hotel so we had to park in a garage, opposite from the hotel, instead. There at our arrival, we found ourselves in the reception of the carpark asking for a discount, as the price would have been one Euro per hour. In the end, we paid 40 Euros for 72 hours, which was quite a bargain in my opinion. The pool on the rooftop was fine apart from the fact, that it was a bit too small for the numbers of people on site. Moreover, the noise level at the pool was constantly high because there were loads of families staying at the hotel with their children. However, as we got our headphones with us the noise was quite bearable. The city Nice offers a large selection of different restaurants and for that reason, we always dined out and it proofed to be well worth it. The food was excellent wherever we went, so do not miss the chance of taking a nice stroll through the old town, the restaurant there are simply superb. Overall, it was a good hotel with little to complain about. Nevertheless, if you prefer a quiet environment you should consider another hotel, as there were many children on the loose throughout our stay. If you take no notice to that bother, I would definitely recommend it.

Terrible experience in this hotel with very cold treatment and reception staff knowing very little about hospitality. We are a family with two children, including a 12 years old and a 5 years old. We booked a family room and by arrival to the hotel (as it apparently was fully booked) we were given a small double room for disabled clients with special assistance shower which we not only did not require, but found very uncomfortable. The most outrageous thing was that the room had only one small double bed, nothing else to sleep on for us - 4 people including two children!!! The hotel staff didn’t move a finger to accommodate, my husband was only given one!! plaid to sleep on the floor (apparently they don’t give no additional beds and didn’t even have a mattress or additional blankets - in such a big hotel! No sorts of nice breakfasts or pools can ease this sort of bad family experiences, so we would recommend families to avoid this hotel if they don’t want to be treated the same way. The hotel staff explained the change of room by the fact that we didn’t specify the number of people in the booking, like if this would justify the hotel to exchange a family room to a disabled one to their convenience or leave their guests sleep on the floor with just one plaid under!

While there is no doubt that the location is great, I wish we were informed while booking, that it’s just a basic room we book. There will be nothing more. Not even a bottle of water after the 1st day. They don’t provide creamers for tea at all. No after hours housekeeping, for as little as tea bags. One needs to get up and fetch it yourself from the reception. Even bed and breakfasts provide more.

The stay at the hotel was disappointing. There are numerous drawbacks that have occurred, however, the biggest issue of staying in the hotel is the fact that EUR 500 were stolen from my room. I have noticed that the next morning and immediately went to the reception to notify them. They have called room service and later on they told me that the cleaning staff denied that they took any money from my room. As soon as I was leaving France this day, I was trying to get the reception members check the security cameras as quickly as possible. 4 hours later, at the time of the check out, they told me that they ‘did not have time to check the footage’… and the administration manager also told me that this is definitely not the member of staff who stole the money as they ‘swore’ it was not them… The security is the top priority of any stay and stealing money is unacceptable even in a 2 start hotel. FYI - I obviously did not receive any cash or even an apology :)

Jennifer at the Front Office is a real asset for this hotel. Air France misplaced my luggage and was not getting proper feedback. Jennifer was very understanding and empathetic and tracked down the location of my bag. The rooms are nice and clean and overall the service is good. But personally Jennifer is the one who went out of her way to solve my problem...thank you

While staff were nice and location was good, once you left the reception area and got to the bedrooms it was a hugh disappointment. Carpets were worn and stained and the walls could do with being painted. It was the toilet and bathroom which were dreadful, the smell coming from the drains was disgusting, and you cannot take a shower without soaking the the floor as there is a gap at the at the bottom of the of the shower screen. I would definetly not stay at this hotel again.

We recently stayed here as a family of 4 and had booked one of the family rooms. The hotel is a little on the remote side with not much nearby (2 stars). The reception and breakfast areas were nice and so were the staff (4 stars). The breakfast itself and option were really good (4 stars). What really disappointed us and why we would not return was the family room. It's was really tight, very, very dated, towels and carpet stained. We reported this to reception who offered us an alternative family room, just the same with very dated (possibly not been renovated for 15 years) room (1 star). The pool area was ok, nothing special, could have done with a tidy up (3 stars). All information was reported back to the UK travel company who booked this hotel for us, just so they know and hopefully it prevents other families from the same disappointment. Overall rating for our stay (2 stars).

This hotel is really nice. I had a pleasant stay here. The staff is friendly and ready to meet all customer needs. The rooms, despite being a bit dated, are quite large and bright. Only flaw: the blind bathroom, in which there is only the toilet: it is a somewhat bare room, aesthetically it is not the best, however, overall, I feel I can say that the rooms are ok. Concerning breakfast, I loved it: there is plenty of choice, fruit is fresh and of high quality. I also loved the decor of the common areas of the hotel and the swimming pool, which is a little bit small, but is clean and is on the roof, offering a panoramic view over the whole city. Lastly, the hotel is well linked to the city centre: the tram stop is a stone’s throw away!

I was staying in this hotel during the period 13/3/23 to 17/3/23. Two days of this week the cleaners neither did they lay the beds or change the towels. Our sheets were unclean. But the most important part was that one of my friends was stolen 170€ and jewellery that had personal importance to her. She warned the receptionist and he said to us that he would let us see the security camera the next day. The next and last day came and he claimed that he could not show us the material cause it was obligatory that police and lawyers were there. Mind that they told us last minute so we could not take action. It came to me to see other reviews and saw an exactly same incident that happened three years ago.

Very nice hotel with good location in nice. Quick access to the main road to drive to different cities close around, like Villefranche-sur-Mer or Monaco. Also nice location to go walking to the famous promenade of nice! Important to remark, the service in the hotel is very good but specially thanks to Salem Zamoum who made the stay with my boyfriend fantastic. Helpful, attentive and lovely recommendations. He was also funny with us and made the stay very pleasant.

Room was cleaned and nice, all the staff was excellent, expecially Salem who provided us a great service. Only negative point, but is personal, I was there for a business trip and the hotel looked like a kindergarten, screaming children everywhere expecially at the pool. :(

All in all very nice stay. Spend four nights. Very nice breakfast, had all we needed. Well presented. Nice terracce with the restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice that sparkling and still water was available in every floor. The pool area in the rooftop was small but nice. Good that the pool had also shallower end. The beach was kind of far away but a nice big shopping mall and restaurants close by. Also the tram and train stations very close and easy to use. Only thing I missed was a balcony in the room. Also the water in the pool was freezing cold (we swam regardless) it said that the water was 21 degrees celsius but it was not, more like 18. Also we bought the late checkout beforehand online, but don’t rely that you will get it even though you paid for it. They will confirm if it is possible on the checkout day.
