Absolutely loving our stay at Hôtel Nice Beau Rivage. We had to book last-minute in the city, and front desk staff managed to get us inside our room a bit earlier, as we asked, which was so helpful: we took a shower and went to explore the city. Location was incredible. Close to every tourist spots plus the beach. Clara gave us a plan guide with the map. Our room was super clean, comfortable and well equipped with appliances, TV, mini bar…Breakfast is great! Couldn’t ask for a better place here. We highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent breakfast, helpful, fun, attentive, staff that speak good English. Expect to have your bags taken from you at reception and brought up to you 5 minutes later. We would definitely stay at this hotel again 😊

Location was amazing. So easy to walk around old town and right next to the beach. The staff for our check in was superb and provided a great place to eat since we were a little too early to check in. Housekeeping was a little hit or miss. Hand towels went missing and we didn't get more until our last day. Used coffee cups were left and supplies not always refreshed. However, the room was clean. Brunch was nothing to write home about. Save your money and eat at one of the many restaurants nearby.

Your mileage may vary, but we were disappointed. The good: prime location right next to the beach, and the staff are friendly. The bad: we had to wait 45 minutes for our room (we arrived at 15:45), the room itself wasn’t very clean (see photo of carpet stain 🤮), and the sink needed some repair (badly clogged and the faucet was a bit broken).

Hotel Bar closed due to barman on hollidays....interesting for an holiday destination. Unable to have darkness in the room, no way to avoid being waken up by sunrise early in the morning. Reported the issue 3 days in a row but no action taken. Very gentle employees but obviously no power to fix even the most logical thing which is being able to make the bedroom dark.

I can recommend wholeheartedly. Fantastic location, perfect service, most comfortable bed and large selection of pillows. The only downside channels on TV only in French

Nice room in great location. Poorly trained and organized reception staff (bag minder excluded). Insufficient capacity in restaurant for breakfast

Don’t stay if you want to sleep. The drapes/shutter combo doesn’t block out the street lights and hotel lights shining into the room. I could manage that with eye shades. However, the thumping bass from the amplified music in the neighboring square, that thunders long into the night( and is followed up by night club music after the festival quits) can’t be blocked out by ear plugs. You feel the bass as much as near it. I realize that this is not the Hotel’s fault, but to me if you don’t want to party the night away, this is a horrible choice. Also, the beach front restaurant is lovely but the food is very mediocre. They appear to be cruising on the location ignoring food quality and service

I stayed here for 4 nights in lateApril and I thought it was awesome. In my opinion, you can't beat the virtually beachfront location. Our room was cute and functional, and the beachfront restaurant view was amazing. Would definitely stay here again!

I really really enjoyed staying here! The staff were friendly but sometimes a little condescending. Amazing rooms and location! Beach club was awesome but very short staffed too forever to get things.

Excellent hotel nicely located in the old town of Nice. Less than 50 meters to the beach. Located near many restaurants and close to shopping. Spacious and clean hotel room paired with a tasty breakfast lasting from 7-10.30. The breakfast offered bread of various kinds, warm meals as well as pastries and jams. Staff know very little English and they can seem a bit stressed and rude during breakfast serving. Other than that we had a great time at hotel Beau Rivage.

If I could give service more stars, I would. The staff were wonderful (Angelique was a special hit with our 2 year old), rooms were nice if a little hot (aircon is on eco) and breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This hotel maintains a very high standard. The location is perfect. As close to the beach and nightlife as possible, yet not so close that you are disturbed by the noise of the nightlife. All the staff were very nice and welcoming. The rooms were nice and were well cleaned every day. The breakfast was delicious. Recommend the hotel's transport to the airport better than taxis.

Great location on edge of Old Town and just a few steps from the sea. Clean & comfortable room with neutral decor, all felt very new & well maintained. Lovely staff, all helpful & friendly. Big choice at breakfast buffet, particularly good bread & pastries.

The location is great, nothing to say. The rooms are okay, floor (carpeted) is a bit dirty, toilet/shower are great and spacious. The staff is very welcoming especially Layla (if I remember correctly); she is an angel, very welcoming and very nice.

This hotel was recommended to us. Our overall was excellent! The location was excellent with great customer service. You could walk directly into old town or cross the street to the beach. It was our first time in Nice and this hotel definitely made the experience that much better. Lastly, do the morning breakfast. It's great. And the breakfast manager is always in a good mood dancing and snapping his fingers to the music. When I return to Nice, I look forward to my next stay here.

recently stayed at the Beau Rivage for 3 nights. To start things on a positive note, the reviews I saw were correct about a few things. This hotel is very conveniently located in Old Nice with ~2 minute walk to the Promenade. The location IS great. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. However, I don’t think a lot of the reviews I read really captured how far from being a 4-star hotel this place is. There is a chance that it was a 4-star hotel 30+ years ago but that is a poor representation of it today. A few things driving that perspective include; - The furniture in both the lobby and bar have the droopy, matted appearance from having been sat in thousands of times over many years without upkeep. A similar visual wearing was also evident in all of the carpet throughout the hotel - When first going to our room there was a bag of open garbage in the hallway by the elevator that remained in the hall for the next 24-hours. It then moved to the stairwell where it sat for the rest of our stay - The first thing we saw in the room when walking in were two massive stains on the carpet, one had been bleached and the other was just discolored - The pillows and throw blanket on our bed were stained. The staff was, however, friendly about providing additional pillows without stains - The hotel wifi did not reach our room. It worked in the stairwell up to our floor, but cut off practically as you walked into the door of our room. We had to go sit in the lobby to use the wifi for anything All-in-all, we did our best to avoid being in the hotel unless necessary, which was probably good to help us see more of Nice and the surrounding area. Again, the point here is to make sure people are aware of the quality of the hotel itself so that they are not disappointed as we were. There is definitely strong value in the location of this hotel but it seriously lacks in quality and visitors should not expect 4-star amenities

Open long hours and serving food as well as drinks. Unique location right on the beach. A bit more expensive than other places but you can understand why because of the location and views. It is a lovely spot to watch the beach goers and the sailing boats go by.

Worst experience in a well rated hotel ive ever had. After a 14 hour flight we arrived at the hotel right at check in time and had to sit there for 45 minutes longer until our room was ready. We get into the room and first thing we realize is the sink is broken and we have to use a dislocated handle to barely get it to work. Soon after noticed the TV doesnt work and we let them know and they didnt seem to care and did not do anything about it. We are not complainers so we wanted to make the best of it. We booked through expedia and their website as well as expedias clearly post air conditioning as one of the amenities. Upon arriving we spent one night in blistering heat with the ac "on" but obviously not working. We called in the morning and they have no shame to tell us that they do not turn on the ac for their guests to use until may 15th which is not listed absolutely ANYWHERE. We spent two sleepless nights in the hotel, one of which we left the window with no screen on open and were greeted in the morning with spiders inches from our faces and no change in temperature as well. Thankfully expedia is changing our hotel out with no charge because this has become unbearable for a honeymoon vacation................................. It wont let me respond to your message but ill reply here. Thats total bs. We arrived right at 3 and the room wasnt ready until 340. Also we did inform multiple people there multiple times! We have the call logs showing that. And were not helped at all. Im a mechanical engineer as well so i know if something can be "screwed back on" and that was not the case. Also the TV DID NOT work when we were there and let you guys know. Nice beautiful message to clear the business. But when we spoke to the manager and TOLD him we spoke to multiple employees about our issues he was extremely sorry and trying to figure out who we spoke to. Also maybe on your listings then put that you turn the AC off until may 15th instead of putting that as one of the amenities that we paid for. When we asked for a fan we were told "if you get lucky we'll find you one" and that was the last straw.

Great location for centre of Nice but our rooms overlooked the nightclub which was noisy. Rooms nice but very dark. Easy walk to the station for trains to Monte Carlo tennis. Loads of fabulous restaurants nearby. It was my son's 21st birthday treat which I informed the hotel of in advance but nothing special done when we arrived & no mention of it. Good staff & the concierge was particularly helpful with directions & info on where to visit, thank you x

The good points about this hotel. Service was excellent, especially Jocelyn in the breakfast room who gave an amazing welcome every morning. Probably the best located hotel in Nice, for proximity to the beach, the Old Town and the main shopping street. Yes, it can be a bit noisy with local bars etc, but that just goes with being in the centre I think. The biggest disappointment though was the room quality. Whilst the public areas are generally in good condition, the rooms are desperately in need of refurbishment and some attention to detail. We had disgusting pillows which were yellow in colour and stained, which to be fair were replaced when we complained (although really they should have been disposed of years ago and never been there in the first place). The toilet was only loosely attached to the wall. This tap in the bathroom sink was loose and the lever worn and stiff. The wooden furniture and fixtures were damaged and worn. There was a bleach stain on the carpet. Not really 4* standard in my view. So whilst the stay was ok, we did not feel is currently worth the premium price paid.

Anyone with any type of disability should avoid this Hotel. I requested a non slip bath mat for the shower three times before they admitted they don’t have any. My partner has a balance problem and there is no grab bar in the shower and the floor gets slippery. The room is fine although not what we thought we had booked. Apparently you have to book through their own website to get an accurate description. We booked a Patio room but that only gives you a view of the Patio not an actual patio. The room has no sofa and only one chair so if you want to spend time in the room you have to sit on the bed. My rating for service is for reception only, housekeeping were good and very helpful. Edit Housekeeping brought us a nonslip mat this morning (3 June) which is very much appreciated.

The staff were great, the location was great. The carpet in our room (226) was worn and stained. Given how much we paid for the room, I thought the hotel was being cheap charging for bottled water beyond the first night and for the use of an umbrella.

Booked to stay as understood from booking the hotel had a private beach access for guests. Sadly, even guests have to pay for access which seems really bizarre (never experienced this at any other hotel). Brought to the attention of the manager and he was rather despondent and disinterested in resolving the issue. Reply: you’re were not concerned nor bothered when I came to speak to you. I advise everyone to choose a different hotel in Nice - you will understand why!

From a 4 Star Hotel I expect more. Our Bedsheets and even the matress was really dirty and we complained several times nothing happened and the staff was not profeasional at all. Would not recommend this hotel.

Loved this hotel! Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were clean and the staff was accommodating. Spent our last 4 days in Europe there and it was fantastic! I would only suggest that future customers make sure they bring cash/Euros to rent the beach chairs and umbrella. In Europe you pay for 99% of things with your card, but at this hotel they only accept cash for the beach chairs, which still isn’t a big deal. I ran over to a local bank and withdrew some Euros (they auto convert USD to Euro) and got everything taken care of.

Not a 4* standard. NEGATIVES: - Wifi did not work properly in the room, sometimes it didnt work at all - the room was a bit dirty (not completely dirty, but some areas had not been cleaned for a while) - the hotel rooms are a bit old and need refreshing (e.g. window sills are completely scratched, grouting around baths and sinks coming off, no USB chargers, door in front of the mini fridge was coming off its hinge, etc) - breakfast was very poor. For example, the scrambled eggs appear to be the powdered types. - I could hear people in the room next to me through the wall - the private beach was completely full and I highly doubt it was full of hotel guests. I am quite certain they open it to anyone. - There is no free water provided. In fact, the 500ml bottle of Evian is charged at 6 euro! POSITIVES: - Friendly service - I had a very good sleep in the bed. It was comfortable.

Spent a night here and I did experienced a symphony of the night for the whole night in the room. As a 4 star hotel which charges you more than €100 per night, the sound resistence of the room is a total joke. The hotel locates very close to the heart of the commercial area in Nice and with many bars/restaurants around it(consider it a plus but only if you can tolerate the crowd). Our room has been arranged at 4th floor, facing the street side. When we first entered the room in the afternoon, we have already noticed that the sound from the street(even the talk between pedestrians) can be heard but we thought maybe it will be better at night(which turns out to be a total nightmare). The first chapter of the symphony started at 23:00, when we were back from dinner and got ready to bed, this is when I really felt the "lively spirit" of the street. All the music and laughter in the bar, I could already experience every moment with them in the hotel room. Then it pushed to another level when it passed midnight, the music turned louder and more sensational, people now with enough alcohol and the heat turned up even more. Shoutings and whistles composed the second chapter of the symphony. The third chapter begins with the closing hour of bars but this is the part which lasts longer than any others. All the drunkens were chatting, cursing, shouting(and fighting maybe) on the street and a massive beat from the motor engines is something you can't miss. All these drew the siren of ambulance, the soprano which came here and there and linked all kinds of noises together seamlessly. The last chapter is called the coming home. When it passes 3 o'clock, the guests of the hotel were back from the bars, so now the brisk sound from the slamming doors were coming through internally, providing a surrounded sound effect to show you how real the symphony is. Hold your thought that the street must be quiet now. It's not, as it is now owned by the wasted people wandering and cursing to each other and the bass from the bars' waste basket been dragged across the street was a highlight of this section. Eventually, when everything was cooling down it's already 4:30 and I finally could rest my eyes a bit but then the next day in Nice begins. The other group of people are awakening and now I am writing to all of you this comment at 5:52. The bedding kit is alright and the pillow has the firmness and softness just right(except for a smelly one which been kicked right on the floor by me) but its really a shame that they couldnt function the way that it should be on me. Water supply is steady(temperature as well) but not to hope too high with the room design, it's just a room. Hope you all have a wonderful stay here.

I had a comfortable and memorable stay in the hotel. The ambiance and hospitality covers any other thing which one could wish for. The decor of their 19th century building is impressive (indoors/outdoors) . Staff is forthcoming and welcoming. Recommended to stay for being near the beach and old city. I thank them for the care during my stay. Will definitely come again

The staff was gracious and helpful My only complaint that this hotel did not have CNN or any other English Speaking channel which I found surprising since this hotel seems to get a varied international clients

Love this hotel! Stayed here in 2019 and again in 2022 because we love it. Centrally located in old town nice next to all the restaurants/ shop/ and beach. The staffs from the front desk to the cleaning ladies are super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay here again next time in Nice.

hotel well located, large room (superior). cramped and very confusing breakfast spot. Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience due to the lack of kindness of the reception staff. the hotel chose to have automatic blackout windows and the one in my room was broken. at 5 am the room was all lit up. I had to get up and put the bath towels on the windows to go back to sleep. I went to complain at reception and they said they couldn't do anything and that all the rooms had the same problem. They made no effort to resolve it or even apologize for the inconvenience. I was very disappointed because I chose the hotel for a celebration and ended up getting upset.

Lovely hotel in EXCELLENT location. My room had a nice view of Old Nice and the Mediterranean. Situated in Old Nice, it is just a block from the beach and a couple blocks from the in-town train. Complimentary breakfast was well stocked and offered wide assortment. Hotel staff very welcoming and helpful at all times. The only issue I had (and why I can't give five stars) is there was no wifi in my room, despite being "sold" that there was free wifi throughout the hotel. Wasn't a major problem since I was only there two days. My stay would have been perfect if the wifi worked everywhere.

We arrived without a reservation after a mix-up at another hotel. Joel and his staff made a big effort to accommodate us even though the hotel was very booked. They were warm, welcoming and effective. We ended up with a large and very comfortable room for our 2 night stay, which included a varied and copious breakfast buffet. I highly recommend this hotel and commend Joel and his staff for their professionalism and welcoming and warm attitudes.

A comfortable and welcoming hotel, well placed in the old part of the town close to restaurants and the promenade. Breakfast was variable in terms of food available and the hot items were luke warm. The bedroom was spacious but would have benefited from a little bit of maintenance. We would consider staying there again.

Role playing tourist trap. Their pages and travel agencies presenting place with many amenities, private beach, bar and restaurant, modern and AC equipped rooms. Far from reality. Hotel is actually located in excellent location - just at the corner of Nice Old town. Clean and well maintained lobby and hotel surroundings. House keeping is excellent. Breakfast is very high standard. Bathroom is spacious. Everything seems to be spot on. And that’s it if sharing positive bits. Hotel runs 2 buildings stitched together and occupies whole block. Entrance is not from waterside because of local traffic system. Now let’s talk dark side: AC is not working (at least in our wing) - evidently switched off to save a power. Hotel doesn’t operate any bar or restaurant what is truly bizarre experience. Here comes a question why did they use my card for opening a tab. Reception crew pretty arrogant pointing you to dine in a town. Private beach - another myth, they will charge you again and it seems that private beach is just using same name as the hotel as a coincidence. Conclusion - pick this place if you are sober and on strict fasting diet. This site is basically just an overpriced overnight staying shelter.

Nice location but the hotel staffs should speak better english. The hotel should make a map of hotels parking building for better understanding. Lack of information of hotel facalities.
