Staff is very friendly and the location is great. Only downside is that you hear everything from the other rooms, even people speaking in a normal voice

A great location, especially if you know and love the city already. Our room was spacious and very welcoming. It was our second stay and we definitely recommend this place!

We loved the staff here - super friendly, very inviting and helpful. Hotel is located in a perfect location. The rooms were very clean but needs a bit of renovation on the beds and pillows. We had our worst nights of sleep on this trip at this hotel, it might be a preference but wow hard as a rock.

Staff very friendly. Spoke English to us which was very much appreciated. Room was lovely. Bed was a bit hard but that's just personal taste so no issues there. Breakfast was great, good selection of hot and cold foods, good coffee. Room was cleaned every day, there was big bottles of Nuxe hand soap and shampoo and shower gel. I thought it was a really nice touch. Checkout was efficient also. Great location, close to the beach and also to old town Nice too. Everything we wanted to see was within maybe a 30 minute walk which was good. 5 stars.

Excellent location - 5 minute walk to the beach front and 5 minutes to the main shopping street. Take the tram from the airport for €1.50 and get off around 20 minutes later at the Jean Medecin stop - the hotel is about 5 minutes from there. Really friendly and welcoming staff and a good breakfast, including eggs, sausages, bacon, cheeses, cereals, pastries and more! Tea and coffee facilities in the room but maybe take your own travel mug unless you like drinking out of plastic. Unfortunately the room was really tired and dated with stains and the bathroom had a strong smell of bad drains. The hotel really must renovate its rooms as they are not 4 star quality but the location and staff made it pleasant enough for a short break.

Great location near shops, restaurants, beach front. Lobby nice. Good free buffet breakfast selection. However bedroom was very dated and not the cleanest. Could do with refurb. Small rooms. Strange clown drawing behind bed

    1. Great location 2. Customer service is very good 3. Breakfast is good 4. My room was too small! 5. You can hear noises from other rooms clearly !! And that was the worst part 6. We reserved a tour to Monaco from the hotel and it was great with a great driver

Excellent location and amazing staff. The only complaint is the rooms. The carpets are old and stained and the air conditioning was not working properly. Couldn’t sleep well here as the air conditioning was not working and there was a heat wave in Europe. The common areas definitely need to have some air conditioning as well as it feels pretty claustrophobic in the common hall ways and lifts.

Great, clean and friendly hotel. Perfect location to be central to everything on foot 👌 Kindly received a Room Upgrade upon arrival. Top Floor corner room with a balcony. Really appreciated the extra room but we found the various noises during the night an issue whilst trying to sleep. Great breakfast choice and value for money. Would certainly recommend. 👌

Everything was great. Staying, staffing, location, lodging. I will definitely stay there again if I return to Nice.

This is not 4 star hotel. This is old students dorms with bad air-conditioning, stinky garbage rooms. Good location

This hotel was really good per price, if you book early by becoming a member of their loyalty program you will get a discount. It is really close to beach side and most of the restaurants, really recommended!

Excellent hotel, very comfortable, good location in heart of the city. The breakfast is good, good choice of quality products, 3 different coffee machines! I visited again in October 2022, Mercure Hotel Grimaldi is still a great hotel, no change!

LOCATION Great location, approx 13-15 walk to the main Nice Ville train station. 5 min walk to T2 tram line Jean Médecin (which goes to Airport) and about 5 min walk to the Promenade Des Anglais. Many restaurants also within a 5 min walk. Old town about 15-20mins walk away. ROOMS We booked two Classic Double Rooms. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were thin which may not be to everyones liking and you may have to double-up on the pillows. The 2 rooms we had (321 and 322) lacked a lot of natural light and seemed quite dull. (Unlike the pics shown on the hotel website which show bright and vibrant rooms) Room 322 has a shower in a bathtub which would not drain the water fast enough which was very annoying! We did report this but unfortunately the problem remained unresolved. There was also a 'drain' smell in the bathroom. Maintenance did however promptly fix the bathroom door lock which was not shutting properly. BREAKFAST This was pretty good but nothing extra special. STAFF Generally nice and friendly. Though one male member at reception  seemed to have an issue with us requesting some cups/glasses which were not replenished when our rooms were cleaned. Quite rude and be-grudgingly gave them to us.

Love the place. Its VERY central in Nice and everything is to be reached in walking distance. Staff is VERY friendly. Breakfast was good. Only complain, the pillows and the towels. Pillows are not comfortable and the towels are VERY thin and hard.

Nice hotel, very good location with friendly staff who are happy to help with any request and made our trip comfortable. We had a good stay, but PLEASE can you get rid of the clown wallpaper?! No-one needs to sleep with that above their beds!

Excellent experience here, hotel very central to everything like bars and restaurants but not too close where the noise would prevent you from sleeping. We used a wheelchair accessible room which was perfect, bathroom was a wet room with grab rails for support. Carpeted room which made it easier to get to the bathroom from the bed because he moves round on his hands and knees. Cant fault it and very disability friendly. Only points that could have been better was the air conditioning in the rooms was not very cold and paper cups for coffee/tea. Proper cups would have been much better. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Would definitely stay again.

So must to said, it's hard for me not be hypocritical... The "safety" CoVid19 measures are: - no eggs or other hot food for breakfast; - no cleaning our fresh towels during your stay - sometimes the toilet paper get finished and you ask for more but no one in reception .... Please make yourself a favor and go to a Airbnb.

The hotel is fine. But would not return here or recommend. Location is okay. Its a good area in that you are between the train station, new town of nice and about 5-10 minutes to beach. About 15 minutes or so to the old town Nice. Its right beside the shopping district if you want to be beside the shops. We ended up spending most of our time in old nice so a hotel there would have suited us better but that's not this hotels fault just be aware it's 10-20 minutes away from old nice Our room was tiny and bathroom is tiny couldn't even brush my hair without hitting a wall and no space to store stuff. This may not be all rooms however we may have just got unlucky so unsure if all rooms are this small but was uncomfortablely small for me. Asked for late check out which was shot down like we were asking to stay an extra night for free -they made no effort to even try accommodate late check out even though the hotel wasn't that busy and was no where near booked out. Pros Location is good Room was cleaned well by housekeeping
