This hotel is everything you need if you don’t plan on spending much time in your room. The location is perfect - outside of the city center, right at the beach and in front of the tram station which takes you directly to the city center. The room was clean and spacious enough for two persons. There were however few shelves and no wardrobe, which wasn’t handy. We were also not able to dry our swimming clothes as we could not open the window fully. These were the only downsides that we noticed. Breakfast was very delicious and rich, we didn’t pay for it when we booked the room, but we decided to try it once we got to the hotel and it turned out to be fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful, we could borrow hair dryer, iron, umbrellas and beach umbrella every day. This hotel definitely has a good value-price balance, so we will come back for sure.

Its in a good central location but to be honest the room isn't great for a disabled access room. The room has a third bunk hanging above the double accessible bed, which is great to get the hoist legs underneath but barely enough room for the overhead bar on the hoist. There is very little room but the bathroom is spacious, however you can't get a hoist over the toilet as they have blocked the toilet in. There are only 2 plus sockets in the room so again we have cables everywhere!

This hotel is clean and modern. The room is big not small. The toilet is also big and modern but it does not have a door for shower. The water always come out of the shower. I got the room same as the photo from booking.com. The room does not have fridge, mini bar and hair dryer inside but you can ask the reception for hair dryer. You can also find some snack near the reception too. It has noise at night for the street, I heard some car and ambulance. The hospital is near the hotel. This hotel is very close to the beach, it has a good location for people who want to go to the beach. It is a bit far from the city center. I always take a car to go to the center. You need to pay parking in the street in front of the hotel but you do not need to pay at night. It does not have much parking. Near by has parking lot but it is cost 25 € per day. The best way to park the car for free that you should go a bit far away about 5 minuites and then walk to the hotel. I did that so I did not pay any parking for my trip.

Regular hotel, typical ibis budget. Nothing fancy but clean and well located. Do not recommend paying for the breakfast, is buffet style but very limited and doesn’t even have fresh fruit or cereals/granola.

Nice place to stay for short visit. Rooms are tiny but bathroom is big enough so you get all you need. Beach is one minute walk, couple of places to eat jast around the corner, supermarket just 10 minutes walk. And easy to get anywhere by tram L2, stop is just few steps from the hotel door.

The IBIS is the best deal I find for 3 people here, and we are very satisfied. My family of 3 stayed for 3 nights, the bed is comfortable, much better than other IBIS in Paris. Room is cozy but modern decorations, and it has an AC. The location is very convenient, #2 tram is literally next door, it is only cost 1.75 per person to Nice, and only 4 stops, 7 mins to old town. I would not hesitate to choose it again. The staff is friendly, the hotel first floor/lobby has a space for sitting and eating, hotel provides a microwave for use. It also provided some board games for recreation. They also have room cleaning service everyday. There is a pizza place and bakery next door for eat. The beach is only 1 block away, perfect for someone loving swimming and sunbathing. And a supermarket at next tram stop/10 mins walk away. There is a small shop next door with water, fruit, available for purchase. In conclusion, great location, great price for family of 3, great service, next to beach. Highly recommended.

Don't be put off by its star rating, this clean and friendly hotel is comfortable, brilliantly located, and staffed by a team of thoroughly helpful and kind people. The location is extremely close to an excellent tram stop, which gets you most places in Nice, and hardly any distance from a superb little pizza restaurant. The breakfast is buffet style continental and easily worth the money. The beds are comfortable and clean, and the rooms spacious and well maintained. We had a lovely view of the beach from our window. Working air conditioning kept the temperature just right without being excessively noisy. A lovely stay with absolutely no complaints.

Excellent location right next to the beach. A nice walk to the center. We stayed right before Christmas. Rooms are basic (as to be expected) but have everything you need. All the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic with a great selection and a view of the sea. Couldn't ask for more for the price.

Great location, just across the street from the sea and tram stop which gets you to the center of Nice/Airport in 10-15 mins. On the flip side - this is Ibis Budget, do not expect a lot from it, rooms are oldish, beds are not good at all, small selection of things you can buy from the bar (vending machines on the zero floor) and there is no good places to eat nearby. Hotel front desk staff is very friendly and happy to help, especially Alexander.

This hotel exceeded my expectations for a budget hotel. Our room was clean and the amenities was adequate. We stayed on the 5th floor and the noise from below was not disturbing for being right next to the tram tracks. The location is very convenient for being 50m away from the tram station. Overall, great value stay.

Absolute bargain of a hotel in Nice, excellent location right beside a tram station that is ++ easy to use. Rooms are clean, the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The wifi works perfectly fine. Will definitely be staying here again.

The room is quite small and some basic are missing. For example, only one towel hook in a 3 person room, no safe, no wardrobe. Also the pillows feel like I'm sleeping on a wooden plank. However, the room is clean, cozy, air conditioning/heating works well, shower has good pressure and warms up quickly. Overall good value for the price, but can be a bit tight sometimes.

Definitely a budget hotel. All the necessities are provided. It's clean and beds are comfortable. Could have used extra pillows..but we didn't ask. No fridge or safe in the room. Other than checking in/out we didn't need any service. We arrived before the 2pm check in and were offered early check-in for additional 15€ or could store our luggage in locked rooms at reception, that seemed secure. We took the early check-in option. The location is right on the blue tram line so very convenient for airport and Nice St Augustyn station. If you're going to Nice Ville station, you need to change trams at Jean Medecin station and go up to street level to make the change. Easy walk to the beach, longer walk to the Vieux Ville. This was a very good option for attending the Monaco GP as trains from Nice Ville to Monaco were frequent and SNCF had ALOT of extra staff to handle the crowds. And of course the juxtaposition of Monaco to budget hotel..is hilarious 😂

Good quality for price. Perfect location close to beach, tram/bus stop, supermarket. City center is 30 min by foot. Friendly and helpful staff.

If you keep in mind this is a budget hotel then it's a 5 star hotel. The rooms were basic but well cleaned. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were also nice. The location is amazing 2 minutes from the beach. Next to the team line 10 minutes to the airport and about the same into old town. The main point for me were the staff they were amazing and welcoming. Thanks for the nice stay.

This is a really clean, well located hotel. It is only a few metres from the beach, right near the tram stop. Breakfast was a very good continental option. Beware the official website for public transport says that you can get a tram ticket for 1 euro 50 from the airport but that is only valid when you are out of the airport area. We had to pay 10 euros per person which allowed us one trip from the airport to the hotel and back again.

We booked four nights. The room was perfectly fine for our short stay; it was clean, with a comfortable bed, and standard bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Thx

We stayed for two nights. Soft comfortable beds, friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient location. Easy to get to both the airport and the city center. Near the beach and a good food shop. It is possible to leave luggage before check-in. Everybody was satisfied.

Great price! Very clean. Excellent breakfast included. Comfortable beds. Excellent location - easily accessible to tram and waterfront. Some close by restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

Strongly recommended!!! Wonderful low-budget hotel, cozy rooms, very close to the beach, tram to the center, nice breakfast. Tips: the car park on the other side of the road was relatively expensive (13€ 22.00 till 0930). AVOID the Bella Ciao pizza restaurant next to it!!!

It is clean hotel,2 min walk from Promenade des Angles. The breakfast is fresh and tasty. The only bad thing is that beds in the room aren't so comfortable. Also you can't have a cot if the kid is older than 2 years....The tram station is just in front of the hotel which is on the half way from the airport and the city center on the other side, which is great.

First of all it’s pet-friendly and for me this is important, the hotel is clean and tidy, the staff is polite and helpful. The location is also great as it is close to the nice dog beach. Especially if you have a dog this hotel is perfect!

Nice Place to sleep by the beach. The hotel is 100 meters from the beach away but you can't drive with your car in the garage when your car is higher than 1,75 meters

When we initially arrived at the hotel, it was very late but luckily they have somebody at the desk 24 hours and allowed us to check in at nearly 1am. When we got into our room, we noticed a plug socket had broken (pulled out the wall). We went downstairs and mentioned this to reception and they offered us another room after taking a quick look. The guy was quite friendly and helpful. The rooms (we had a standard double room) are quite small but have all the necessities. The room comes with a TV, bed, some shelves and a small corner table with stool. The bathroom has a small shower. The bedroom and bathroom were both really clean, and the cleaners were really friendly too. Downstairs in the lobby, there are vending machines, social/sitting areas and a microwave to use. We found this helpful as to save money in the day we liked having the option to be able to just go and pop something in the microwave. Overall the rooms are okay, the staff are very friendly/helpful and the place is clean as well as well maintained. When I mentioned the issue with the plug socket in our first room, the guy at reception said he would get somebody in the fix it the next morning. Also staff are happy to answer any questions for you regarding things to do locally and provide recommendations. This place is a little pricey for what you get, however that's the area in general, every hotel near by would be pricey too.

We booked three nights. The room was perfectly fine for our short stay; it was clean, with a comfortable bed, and standard bathroom. The air conditioning was very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The hotel is close to the beach and promenade; and it is a short tram journey into the centre of Nice, with a tram stop outside the hotel. We would stay there again.

Very good price-location-service value. The staff was super nice, the room comfortable and clean. Maybe the bed could be more large for two people, but for the money we pay it’s ok. Good location near the tram stop (About 9 minutes to the city center), by walk it’s about 20 minutes

Positives - Convenient location for tram and shops. - Easy access from the airport. - Beach is 5 minutes walk. - Rooms cleaned everyday. - Friendly receptionists. Negatives - The bedsheets / covers are not changed everyday (if staying longer than 2 days, it's not ideal to sleep on the same sheets when sweating due to poor air-conditioning) - If the room is facing back, you'll have lots of noise from the motorway. Also there are apartments so limited privacy. Last time stayed at front facing room, it was also noisy but at least had a nice sight.

Ibis Californie Lenval Hotel in Nice is conveniently situated beside the blue tram line and is 500m approx from the Promenade des Anglais beach walk. It is out of town and is on the airport side of the city. The tram will bring you into the city centre in minutes. Ideally buy a multi trip ticket that covers both trams and buses. Breakfast is self service, generous and tasty. The bedrooms are basic but functional. Our room was cleaned every day and nicely presented. Staff at reception are helpful and cheerful! There is some noise from early morning trams but it didn't bother us. I would stay here again. It is good value. Thank you.

Outstanding, the hotel is brand new, the location is perfect, the staff was lovely. I want to highlight the fact that the room was really clean and we were impressed by the house keeping service we had everyday during our stay. To make a constructive review, the WiFi was a bit slow (in the middle of summer when the hotel was full). I recommend.

Very shady hotel. We stayed in this hotel during a school trip (4 nights) and were not really happy with the service. First of all, the hotel is clean and modern, the rooms are really small (especially if you're 3 people in one room) but that's okay. Breakfast was also okay, but not outstanding. During our stay we had quite a few complications with the staff. Apparently, some of us were too loud (which is true), and because of that, they wanted to take the money payed in advance not only from those people who were disturbing, but EVERYONE. Thankfully, our teachers were not okay with that decision (as it's not legal) and got back at the manager, who then decided to give us the money back and just keep the money of those who were causing problems. All in all, the management is really shady and they just try to make money, even illegally. Would not recommend.

I would give a 5 to the people working at Ibis Budget In Nice and a 4 to the room. The room wasn’t very clean. I could find dust on the shelves and over the doors on the check in day. I know this is a chain which offers a cheaper deal but not cheap enough to overlook. The six euros petit dejunee was fair. The bed is comfortable though it comes in a French size.

Unfortunately, I hadn't had the great experience as I had before from Ibis. The place was clean but the matres has an annoying plastic. I felt like a kid sleeping on a double bed. The breakfast doesn't have any fruit. It's very poor on proteins. The place doesn't have a kettle or somewhere you get hot water outside of the breakfast floor. The receptionist sent me to get water on a paper glass from the ground floor to the 1st-floor bathroom to boil it in a microwave. Even in the cheapest hostel, you will not deal with that stupid thing. The location was very good that's why I didn't rate it as 0.

  • 3/5 Roland P. 1 year ago on Google
It's okay, but don't book breakfast (way too expensive for €6.90) get nicer food and coffee from any bolangerie for 7 euros for two persons). The TRIPE rooms are definitely not designed for 3 people!! No place to store anything.

  • 4/5 Levente L. 1 year ago on Google
If you don't have high expectations this is a viable budget hotel. Plus point for the microwave oven at the reception. Minus for the loudly screeching door handle of the bathroom and the lack of any wardrobe. The L2 tram is just opposite the hotel which is good if you need to travel but might be noisy.

I absolutely loved my stay here. Don't let the low price fool you. You still get a very clean and modern room. The best part was the lady at reception. She was so welcoming and nice. Not only did she let me check in early, but she gave me a free upgrade to my room. I will definently be back!

A budget hotel. Our rooms were too hot to sleep in during winter... The airco can only heat in winter and cool during summer... The breakfast is a bit limited. Elevators are weird to operate. Location is great though. 3.5/5
