I loved literally everything about this hotel. The location is perfect in a great central neighborhood, and just a few steps away from a very nice part of Nice and less than a five minutes walk from the Promenade and beach. The castle on the hill is also less than 10 minutes away by foot. The room was very big and spacious with new furniture and full amenities such as a full kitchen, washer, oven, plates, cups, glasses, and has everything you can think off. The bathroom was huge with new appliances and a great shower. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I would like to thank Dilyana who was very helpful even before we checked in, as she answered all my emails and questions and arranged for our airport pickup and recommended amazing restaurants close by. She even called our tour guide and asked him a few questions for us. One thing to take note off, is that the hotel entrance is located in a pedestrian street but it’s only a few meters away from an actual street, so a car can pick you up or drop you off as close as they can but it’s not an issue at all. The narrow surrounding streets get pretty busy and noisy with pedestrians especially on the weekend but the hotel has provided ear plugs.

This place is incredible!! The value for the money is unmatched. It is located in a PRIME area of old nice with some of the best shops and restaurants within steps. But most of all, they have the most helpful, sweetest concierge and staff I have ever experienced. No matter what question or issue you may have while traveling, they go above and beyond to help make sure you have a spectacular stay. Thank you Clara, Ahmed and the rest of the amazing time. Bravo, merci beaucoup!!

We booked a junior suite and it had plenty of space for 4 people. The kitchenette and dining area was perfect for cooking some in-room meals. Everything was clean. The area rug could use some replacing though. Service was professional and prompt. Check-in and check-out was efficient and quick. The location is perfect. It's about a 2 minute walk from the tram. Plenty of dining options nearby as well. Caveat though is that it is near some bars so it can be quite noisy. The only issue we had was that the room can get on the warmer side. Not enough to be really uncomfortable but warm enough to be of note. Maintenance replaced something with the AC but it could've been that the thermostat had issues. Overall, wouldn't mind staying here again if with a small group. 4.5 stars.

Truly wonderful stay! We booked a Deluxe room for family of 4 & it was a perfect size room. Loved all the staff & location of hotel. You’re right in the old town with many restaurants and shops. There was a fridge, washing machine, dishes, big bathroom with toiletries. Highly recommend!

Feet away from the Judicial Building, many exquisite restaurants, a pharmacy and a supermarket. Intricate Nice awaits you immediately after you step out those doors. Old building from the 1700s perfectly refurbished to provide comfort and privacy within. The staff, from the Front desk to Housekeeping is impeccable with respect to guests' concerns. Always someone at the Front Desk to provide help with directions and advice. During our 10-day stay we stayed at 2 different room categories and actually, the cheapest option worked better for us as a couple. Loved the high ceiling and the obvious stone weathering in the steps. I will miss the entire staff until I'm back. By the way, Nizza la Bella is AWESOME!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Palais Saleya in October. The service was excellent; everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and beautiful. The location was amazing, nearby many excellent restaurants and a very quick walk to the beach! Would definitely return again. Thank you!

The Junior Suite w/ Mezzanine was fantastic! Super spacious, airy, artful and comfortable. The same goes for the rest of this historic palace. The hospitality of the staff was wonderful. The "breakfast a la française" was delightful and delivered precisely at the time requested. The snacks and beverages in the mini-bar were of high quality as well.. We were overjoyed to discover the in-room clothes washer-dryer! This was a godsend allowing us to clean our clothes and avoid exorbitant laundry fees. Overall, we loved the whole experience and would happily stay at Hotel Palais Saleya on future trips to Nice.

We stayed for four nights in a one bedroom suite during the Monaco Yacht Show. It was, very comfortable, well equipped and beautifully decorated. We parked our car in the Palais Justice car park, moments from the hotel, using the Palais Saleya parking pass, which was very convenient. The staff were all kind, attentive and very professional. We left a memory stick in one of the televisions and they very kindly returned it to us by courier at no extra charge. I thoroughly recommend the Palais Saleya and would not stay anywhere else in Nice. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel for part of our honeymoon. I would highly recommend it for the following reasons: -fantastic location for exploring Nice on foot -front desk staff were very helpful, arranging transportation for us from the train station and to the airport -our room was spacious and perfect for a longer stay with a small washing machine and dishwasher -the hotel provides lots of great information for tourists including restaurant suggestions, recommendations for where to go in Nice, and detailed instructions for travelling to other cities (e.g. Monaco) My only complaints: internet was slow, the bathroom’s lighting is not ideal if you want to apply makeup, and the glass shower wall does not extend far enough - we found lots of water would spray out on the floor and we had to use multiple towels to clean it up.

I really enjoyed my time here. The hotel rooms are actually apartments. Mine was a clean comfortable 1 bedroom with a modern kitchen and bath. The location in the old city is ideal. It’s close to the ocean and to the flower market where you can buy all types of food. Note that the hotel does not have a bar, restaurant or other shared space.

The good: fantastic location, potentially the best in Nice. Large and clean rooms. Solid value for money. The bad: I didn’t struggle with the light like some reviewers, though it’s definitely true that the curtains are not blackout and some light will get in. Like other reviewers, I did struggle with the noise. The hotel is in old town and there can be folks out until the wee hours of the morning. It was loud at night and can get very loud at times. If you’re a light sleeper this may not be the place.

We loved our stay in the Palais Saleya. The building was atmospheric with its Moorish style vaulting over the staircase. The room was beautifully appointed. It was spacious enough to allow us all to have our own space yet cosy enough to enjoy meals together. The position was outstanding. It is right in the heart of the old town and yet seems accessible to everything. We went for a long walk via the Castle to the Port and then way beyond. We thought the walk home would be exhausting but it was no distance from the port to the Palais Saleya via Place Garibaldi. A real bonus is that there is a direct tram from the airport to within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff was both welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were a brilliant source for accessing local information. We had a very wonderful and very memorable stay.

We booked this hotel as we wanted to be close to the beach and also have the old town on our doorstep. I cannot fault the hotel at all. It exceeded our expectations and it made for a perfect few days in Nice. The hotel was immaculate and every single staff member couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Everything from the stylish decor to the cleanliness of the rooms was perfect. My only negative being I should have booked a longer stay. We have stayed in various hotels in Nice in recent years and I can honestly say this is by far the best we have stayed in. We cannot wait to come back to Nice and Hotel Palais Saleya again. Thanks for a lovely experience.

Room/location were excellent. I was there with family January 10th to 20th in 2020. I wanted to specifically call out an experience I had. I was very sick from the time we arrived until we left, unfortunately. It got to the point where I thought I should maybe see a doctor. I went to the lobby and asked for suggestions for where to go for help. Delilah at the front desk not only told me where I could go, but offered to walk me there and explain to the pharmacist what problems I was having (je ne sais pas beaucoup de francais). That interaction has really stuck with me. Great hotel and great staff, highly suggested. (The other Rick Parks review is my dad!)

Excellent hotel. Great location, close to tram station and only 5 mins walk to seafront. Love the bakery just beside the hotel and lots of eateries (gelato shop, fried chicken, and cafes). Love the kitchenette and washing machine cum dryer in the room. Would be perfect if they add long bars for hanging towels in the bathroom apart from the heater rack. Will definitely love to stay in the hotel again.

Located in old city, close to everything you are looking for. Only few minutes to the beach. Room is very nice and cleaned. Staffs were very friendly and helping with everything you need. Strongly recommend.

Wonderful hotel - staff could not be more helpful! On our first night our dinner reservation was cancelled and they quickly assisted us in suggesting and booking alternative places! We stayed in the 3 bed apartment that was lovely, clean and very spacious. We would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it, especially for groups! It has a perfect location and really set the tone for our hen do!

We stayed here on our honeymoon! Very spacious room, great location but keep in mind this hotel is in a very noisy area! We kept our windows open because it was a bit too hot with the heater (even in November) and you can hear every single thing on the streets. You’re near great restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, etc. We really loved having a washer/dryer combo, it was amazing to be able to do laundry!! We did have to google a bit to find the manual to be able to use the washer, it was super confusing even with the guide they provided but once we figured it out it was all good! Definitely be sure to google the manual. Unfortunately the detergent they provided was not color safe so our white clothes turned blue even though we followed instructions but it happens. We would definitely stay here again. They even gave us a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon! :)

This hotel was magical! The rooms were extremely clean, the service at the front desk was unmatched, and the location could not have been better. We received amazing recommendations for lunch and dinner that the hotel could reserve for you. Also, it is VERY safe. Luggage storage was monitored by security cameras and they were aware when guests came to rooms. I strongly recommend this hotel, it should have five stars!!

Stayed for 3 nights in a duplex suite. Fantastic location in Nice old town. The suite had twin beds on a mezzanine and a large queen on the main floor. Wardrobe space upstairs and down. Plenty of space, small kitchen area which was very well equipped with a washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher , kettle and a nespresso coffee machine, along side a full size fridge. Enough room for table and four chairs as well. Location is fantastic literally 5 minutes to the tram and 5 minutes to the beach. Staff where superb throughout. Really helpful and always pleasant. Overall fantastic location, fantastic venue and superb staff.

Beautiful boutique hotel. I would stay again. I loved the room layout for 4. Had a second floor with window stairs similar to the one we stayed at Rome.

Location location location, amirite? Very affordable for the value, a comfortable, newly refurbished room in the absolute HEART of the city. We were well-taken care of and would likely stay here again if/when we head back to Nice.

Stayed here in the 3 BR apartment before COVID halted us. It was awesome! Perfect location in old town for walking with multi restaurants, market, beach and shops. Very nice staff. Especially loved that we could arrange airport pick up. Very pleased!

Amazing hotel and probably one of the best in Nice. We stayed with a baby and due to extra space like an apartment, we really enjoyed our stay. It also happens to be located at one of the best spots in Nice. You could walk to best restaurants and bars. Will definitely stay here whenever in Nice again. I also only stays at Marriott and Hilton whenever available. I would chose this over them.

+: Very spacious apartments. Pretty and friendly staff at reception. Many good restaurants nearby. Some had said it could get noisy late in the evening from bars just across the street, not true. Very good insulation and we had great sleeps throughout our 5 nights stay. -: No hot water one evening (quickly fixed though once reported to housekeeping)

Very nice location in the heart of the old city. Very clean. Our room looked into an inner courtyard which meant it was quiet. We haven't used the kitchen and the washing machine but it would be good for families. The mezzanine bedroom for the children had just enough height for children under 150 cm. One dissappointment was the breakfast we separately ordered one morning. It was brought punctually but it wasn't worth the money. Just buy pastries from the bakery downstairs.

The location of the hotel is ideal, near everything ! The staff is genuinely much nicer than in any hotel we've been.

This is a very nice boutique hotel. The amenities were very clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. Even though the area is located in the busy and loud vieux Nice, the hotel room was quiet at night. The only issues were that the cab cannot get to the hotel front entrance ( the hotel entrance is located on a pedestrian walkway) and the hotel have no common areas to relax in. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this hotel from any families looking to spend some days in Nice.
