Rude staff. I came here at 4am and it took The front desk guy Anthony over an hour to check me in and he was giving me an attitude. I then requested a late checkout since I would only got about 5 hours of sleep and then the manager rudely said no because they were fully booked. There’s a polite way of dealing with people and this whole staff fails in that department of their customer service.

Basic hotel that is perfect for a weekend. Good AC which is more than welcome in the summer. Kind staff but no real luggage storage. Within walking distance of most sights in the city.

Don't bother booking this hotel. As others have stated they choose to still charge for a no-show regardless if plans changed (cancelled flights due to airline cancellations) and declined any assistance in issuing a voucher, or partial refund or any assistance for future booking. Even declined the booking.com direct request for assistance under extraordinary circumstances.

Hotel trocadero is really worth it for the price. I would suggest this hotel at the first who is looking for nice rooms with all amenities at medium range prices. For shopping also if we walk for about 150m there will be tram line near to MC donalds. In that we could all luxury brands and in the place de Masséna there is galleries Lafayette. I have explained each and every topic down. I would like to thank the receptionist madam who is very nice and gave a good welcome. Receptionist madam - 5 stars for her for polite way of speaking and good response. She would speak English as well. We thank her a lot. Luggage storage is available while we leave. And toilets are also available at the ground floor. Cons - the bathing room is so small that one person will not feel comfortable bathing. The remaining all are top class. I thank hotel trocadero for making our trip memorable and for the receptionist madam too.

This hotel was good for our needs. Pros: location, cost, IT HAS A/C!, great shower pressure, elevator, friendly staff, pretty view out the window Cons: small bathroom with creaky toilet that sounded like it would fall off the wall, no shampoo or body wash provided in shower, AC was limited to 22• and wasn’t very strong anyway, hallways and rugs were visibly dirty (from usage / age) though they were vacuumed daily

The gentleman who checked me in was very friendly and helpful-and able to speak at least 4 languages! The room was small, but sufficient, and clean. Not perfect-my bathroom door was tough to open and close properly, and the wardrobe door wouldn't close fully, but as a place to sleep, it was fine, and great location for the station, literally 2 minutes away. Also, only 20 minutes walk to the promenade, plenty of restaurants and shops in easy strolling distance.

Good price-quality hotel, I enjoyed my stay. Of course you might not get the best mattress or room, but for the price that is even cheaper than Airbnb, this was just find. Excellent location.

I don’t recommend this hotel at all. It’s located in a very weird area in Nice, the room (at least the one I stayed in) didn’t not look welcoming, pretty or cosy. The wifi signal was awful in the bedroom, the man at the reception when I arrived was so unwelcoming. The people responsible for breakfast (a man and a woman) seemed very disorganised. Even though it was cheap, I wouldn’t say it was worth staying here…

    • Best value for money in Nice, hands down. • Great location! Only a few mins walk to both Nice-Ville station (if you’re planning to go daytripping around Cannes, Antibes, Eze, Menton, Monaco) and Gare Thiers tram station (going to Nice city centre) • Room was surprisingly big too with great view in the balcony. Just need to ask for some toiletries as they’re not readily available. Hotel is undergoing some repairs and reno so expect some faults and smells that for sure will be improved on. • All the staff we’ve encountered were very warm and welcoming! We loved you all. • Auto laundromat is just next door and lots of convenient stores around available.

Hotel dated and basic but ok for the price. Very close to train station, got there early and couldn't check in till 2pm but place to leave bags till then. Older property but it did have air con which was a blessing in the heatwave. Room.small but was a single. Shower worked but so small had to step out to turnaround but did its job. Lift to upper floors. Staff pleasant and helpful also close to tram down to beach.

Good budget accommodation. Bed was comfortable. Freshly renovated bathroom, though water pressure was a little low. Air con was good, though staff turned it off for rooms early one morning. Depositing access pass with the front desk whenever leaving the hotel was weird. Prime positioning 4 minutes to the train station, 25 minutes to the beach

Nice OK hotel. It was not anything fancy (and also does not advertise as such). It was exactly what I expected for what I paid. I stayed in the Single Bed room, yeah its small but thats how they describe it too, I had no issues with it. Bathroom was modern. It was the black-out curtains for me! They are so good. I slept so well and had no sun in my face in the mornings. Location was 10/10. Very close to the Gare Thiers Tram stop, about a 2 minutes walk which made it ideal for Airport journey via tram. And so so many restaurants within walking distance and a couple of supermarkets. And very close to the main Train Station, Nice Ville. The area around was always buzzing with people, in a good way, as a solo traveller I felt safe even at night. You can easily walk to the Promenade area if keen. Or catch the tram.

Location is fantastic, close to lots and very close to major train station which is handy. Rooms weren't overly special but they did seem clean and put together. Staff were nice.

We weren't impressed with the greeting we had on arrival, the person on front desk was rather rude. The rooms are very clean but basic, we were disappointed that there isn't a kettle and items to make a drink. Housekeeping are very good, providing clean towels, emptying bins and making the bed daily. The shower is fab.

Nice 4 persons room. No problemo.

The location is excellent and the room has enough space, bathroom is big with natural lighting, really good as well. The breakfast is €8 and it’s the French classic: 1 croissant, 1 au pin au chocolate, 1 bread and coffee and juice, the coffee was made early in the morning and by 9am was cold. I would skip the breakfast. Wi-Fi also has a poor connection.

The hotel is just nice for us. The breakfast is the usual french pastries served in a basket. The staffs are friendly and can speak English. You can also stow safekeep your bag before and after check in/out for free. It is quite clean to me and spacious. The bed is acceptable and not bad. Overall it’s a fairly good hotel and near to Nice train station to go to monaco and also there’s auto-self laundromat nearby just in front of the hotel. Basically we have all that we need for our 3 days trip in Nice. Not that far to Nice city centre as well

You get exactly what you paid for. A small hotel close to the center. The rooms were clean and the staff very polite.

Close to the main train station. Minutes away from main shopping street and tram. Quiet and cheap but basic. Bathroom very clean and modern but tiny. Overall, decent room to crash in after a late night concert and no tansport or taxi's

The Wifi was the worst connection ever.if you complain to the desk he answers us that he still connected and no one complains except us as my family and me .it was 3 rooms reserved and the wifi connect for 5 min than disconnect . anything else was ok not the best but yeah comparing for the location was good.they should work on their Wifi if they wanted to satisfy our stay .

Old rooms with a refurbished small bathroom. Poor breakfast, despite the croissant was delicious. Good location, close to train station / parking and main street.

Very good location. The check in was fast and easy. It's good quality for money since we payed 112€ total for two nights (3 people), so roughly 18,50 per person per night. It's a 5-minute walk from the central station and there's restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The room had a funny smell because of the carpet floor, it smelled as if they cleaned it with water and soap but it didn't dry. The beds weren't all that comfy and the rooms were definitely not soundproof.

Great location Location, the beach is within walking distance and you have everything you need nearby, whether it's a bakery, supermarket or restaurants. The rooms are also nice, the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is quite large in relation to the room. Each window has a small balcony which is quite handy and the room is air conditioned which can be a very important advantage in Nice.

Good location, the rooms are really nice and im pretty sure all the bathrooms are recently renovated. Our four person room had four balconies which was really cute. Staff are really nice and polite as they should be. Only minus is that one four person room only had one small mirror.

Very nice place with tasty French breakfast. Bit cold in the room though when boiling hot in the reception, that's why 4/5. But overall worth to get a room in there

Very good hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast is only sweet foods though so if you want eggs or cheese don't order it.

My second time here. Rooms are newly renovated. Hotel has great location, close to the center and railway station. However, internet is the worst. It wasn’t working at all.
