Even though the hotel is rather decent prices in Nice and with a good location it is still overpriced compared to the quality. The rooms are small and old-looking, the bathroom small and worst of all our room stank really bad and we could read other reviews mentioning this as well. We moved to a different hotel after a night.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. We started our first day by getting a room that was already taken, yes, taken. We arrived late, at nearly 11pm. We were given our keys and we made our way to our room, when we opened the door we found other guest’s belongings in the room…. We were finally given a room after midnight. They should’ve not charge us for the night.

Inexpensive hotel in a good location. So good in fact that if you are looking for a quiet place at night, this is not it. There is a lot of boisterous activity immediately outside, in the bustling neighborhood, which I liked. Also it's a short walk from the old town and for the budget traveller who regrets not getting breakfast at the hotel, there is a McDonald's just 2-3 minutes walk around the corner. I got bitten by some insect on my leg a few times one night which was literally very irritating.

Nice hotel staff, good showers, quite old fashioned and nothing extra there.

Very good locatiom, surrounded by restaurants, shops and very close to the beach (5 mins by foot). The room was very clean and big with air conditioning, the furniture looks a bit old but this was not a problem. Breakfast was also very good with a pretty good variety of hot and cold stuff, tea, coffee and juice, croissant, pain au chocolat etc Overall we had a very nice stay, the staff was very nice.

The place has a great location and staff is generally friendly. However, the rooms are too small (one can hardly fit to sit on the toilette) and the breakfast is pretty bad (they serve scramble eggs cold)

Great stay and friendly helpful staff. However don't book a taxi with the hotel! We were told by reception the fixed rate was €35, but charged €50 at the airport, luckily we had enough cash otherwise very awkward.

The Hotel was terrible! 1st the boiler was broken, so that meant we couldnt shower so that cancelled all our plans for our last day in Nizza. And the service was very very rude! Our room was in very bad shape. We were in the 1st Floor on the last room somewhere. The flooring was broken, so was the chair. The shower wasnt great at all! It was stinky, yellow , and dirty. The restauranr was OK but for the price you‘re paying, theres not much to select from. And once, we went to the restaurant that was on the 6 Floor. So we decided to take the lift, and we got stuck. This Journy In Hotel de Suede was HORRIBLE 1 Star!

Great place to stay. Exceptional value, location extremely convenient to all ones needs. Very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast restaurant perfect. I have stayed many times and will continue to do so. Look forward to my next stay.

There is a vibration and a hollow sounds in the whole room. The floor is vibrating, and well let's see how well you can sleep in this. The bathroom is not to speak about, to small and barely in good shape. And the soundproof that they say, nope! Heard the neighbour sneeze. So yeah, might be some good stuff but these things mentioned above is to much, I imagine I will wake up with a big headache of this buzzing sound and vibration. It's terrible a total nightmare.

This hotel is in a brilliant location for both the beach and the town, and the cleaning staff were meticulous. However the hotel was advertised as having air conditioning which we were told on arrival would not be switched on until the following month despite our room being very hot. It was too noisy (due to the central location) to have the window open at night. The rooms are dated and could do with some maintenance, including installation of an extractor fan in the bathroom.

Location is the best thing about this hotel. Staff are friendly but don't expect them to change the bed sheets daily! No coffee, tea or water provided

Great location. You could walk to the beach or even the city center in few minutes. The room needs a bit of maintenance. The bathroom is too small. But overall it’s a fine hotel.

Quite a standard hotel at a very excellent location. The staff is nice, the rooms are clean and you max have a healthy sleep in a comfortable and silent room. Only the brunch is a little too standard. ;)

The location is great - close to restaurants and the promenade. However, though we had booked two nights we only stayed one. The room was very clean and tidy but the bed was very uncomfortable, the mini fridge made a very loud hum (we turned it off). It seems the walls are extremely thin as we could hear the other guests perfectly. I understand you can always hear other voices and that is not the responsibility of the hotel but it was just too much.

This is rated as a 3-star hotel and delivers the correct price/quality ratio with a highly convenient location in the centre of Nice within 150 meters of the beach boardwalk. The housekeeping keeps the facility in a top hygienic condition in the room, in the public areas, and in the lobby. Very comfortable environment! Many restaurants within a 100-meter radius of the hotel.

People should really understand that this hotel is a 3 star average place to stay in the heart of Nice , a clean but old hotel. Located in the center of the most noisy area. So if you are searching for a quiet, luxury stay, go to Meridien or Negresco or many others.. (easy to make a search and find what you really need on internet) pay 15 times more and receive what you expect. But don’t complain here about what you get.

Good enough hotel with a location that makes up for its shortcomings. Realistically I'd probably say it's a 2* hotel rather than 3, but the pricing reflects that and as long as you have realistic expectations based on that you shouldn't be too disappointed
