Me and my friend stayed at this hotel a while ago. Our guest relation was super duper nice, his name is Alim, and he allowed us to check in earlier because there was a room which was ready, that really helped us a lot as we wanted to get prepared to go to Monaco on that day. He also came to help us to fix the curtain, as my friend kind of accidentally broke the curtainnin the room. 😅 Merci beaucoup, Alim! 🙏🏽 I must say, the hotel is very strategically located, only walking distance to the Gare, and there are so many shops around as well, plus the tram station was also nearby. The hotel also has so many amenities, also there is free hot drink machine!! We could get as much as cappuccino, hot chocolate, etc as we wanted! 😍😍 Our room was also greatly decorated, it was okay size for 2 persons. The bathroom was also clean, but some steel in the shower fell down as I was havin shower, thank God it didn’t hit my head tho. 🥲 Overall, we lovedd it there! I would definitely come back when I visit Nice for sure!! 😍🙏🏽👍🏼

We arrived to the hotel in the afternoon and were informed that the AC is broken and that they can provide fans instead. They promised a 30% discount on the room rate. As the happy curlture chain has many hotels in Nice, the receptionist was very helpful in trying to find us a room in a different hotel but they were all fully booked, so we stayed for one night. A very hot night in august. The staff was kind and helpful. Upon check out we were told that management is not offering 30% discount on the room rate anymore and that only full rate applied. It was impossible to argue that they were the ones who told us about the discount and that a change of mind is very unprofessional. This simple fact made me change all my view of the happyculture chain, making it more money oriented than people oriented. No one told us that the AC was not working for almost a week and we had to deal with it upon arrival. unprofessional. Unethical. Liars.

Very disappointing experience. The rooms and the interior of the hotel look nothing like the images (hrs.de). Everything looks run down and dirty. Stains on the walls, dirty windows and cheep furniture. All in all a big fat fake. The area (train station) is also not the most exciting place to stay. The hotel has no parking (even if they claim they do at hrs.de). There’s a public parking house across the street which costs 20€ per day. The breakfast is rediculous. The guys at the front desk are very nice and helpful though. If you are looking for a cool life style hotel in Nice – that’s definitely not the one.

The service was very good. The rooms were cleaned, the hospitality and the staff were very friendly. If you asked for suggestions the same was provided very promptly. The breakfast buffet provided for 10 Euros was very sufficient and they provided large assortments too. We stayed for 4 nights and not once we faced any kind of problems.

I encourage you to stay at this wonderful hotel. Rooms are super clean and cozy, staff is attentive, and the breakfast buffet is amazing! They even have water and coffee dispensers available for guests at no extra charge, that's a nice touch. Location (next to nice-ville train station) is also a big plus if you are planing to visit the rest of the french riviera using Nice as base. Honestly one of my best experiences at this price range.

Nice three night stay. More than happy with what we got for what we paid. Characterful decor, nice complimentary touches. All the staff were pleasant.

Very nice and clean rooms, located minutes away from a train that goes to Monaco and other beautiful seaside villages, and only a 30 minute walk from Old Nice! The staff are very nice and speak fluent English.

Very good location near train station and bus stop, very easy to get to Monte Carlo and Cannes or other cities. The rooms are clean but small, there is a kettle, coffee, tea in the room, shampoo, shower gel, but not slippers. There is a coffee machine at the reception and all hotel visitors can drink coffee, hot chocolate or milk, latte or tea absolutely free of charge. Relatively good breakfast. The staff is very friendly, I especially remember Alim who helped me to sort out all the questions and advised which places to visit. Very pleasant and friendly guy.

Simple and comfortable with style. The front of house team was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and kept me full for most of the day.

The location is horrible. Super noisy and irritating since there is a railway line nearby. When it was time for checkout the attitude of staff changed. Some were super sweet but not everyone. Very rude and compelling to get out very quickly , did not show any consideration keeping in mind that we checked in few hours later than the actual time. Breakfast spread was not great, just satisfactory. Rest of the services like unlimited coffee was good. Rooms were also cozy and clean. Would have given a five star if isn’t for the attitude of the staff

Great location and very cute hotel. Clean nice breakfast cool design. AC works but I'm not sure what they thought about the shower being straight in your face. Def. Recommendable.

We are delighted to stay at this hotel. We visited you in April with a sphynx cat. We all had a great time. Beautiful rooms, windows, atmospheric staircase, very good breakfast. We will be happy to come back to you. See you in Nice, greetings from Poland.🇵🇱

I visited back in June on a school trip and had an amazing experience at the place. The room was super cute and exactly like the pictures, super clean as well. I could definitely tell that they payed great attention to detail on the surroundings and aesthetics of the place as a whole. Although the place is quite small they have and provide all needed amenities for a week long stay which I found super useful, and overall way better than other reasonably priced hotels in France. The best part was the staff because they were extremely friendly, extremely helpful and understanding and genuinely some of the best and nicest people I met on my trip. The location was alright, some areas super close to the place were not the most appealing but nothing terrible at all, it is walking distance from Nicetoile which is a great shopping area, there are so many nice restaurants there as well. Overall, we absolutely adored our rooms and the staff and food and services provided as a whole, everything was fresh and regularly reloaded, I would defiantly return again one day.

I would definitely recommend hotel Villa Bougainville! The hotel service was excellent, rooms were cleaned on a daily, the room was very comfortable and had a nice view. The area where the hotel is located is very quiet and near to the beach, train stations and good restaurants as well. I loved the time I spent there! Reception services were excellent as well very helpful.

Good experience with this hotel. Staff was super friendly and breakfast was amazing. Just the rooms need a bit of renovation and more brightness. Currently the room we stayed in looked a bit dull.

The service and the location were both excellent! Such a nice hotel for this price. We were so happy to have chosen to stay here! Would definitely go back!

Excellent price for a great hotel location - 5-minute walk from the station- and 15-minute walk to the beach and old town. Funky hotel design and room vibes. Comfortable bed but not a fan of the soft pillows. I was at first annoyed I was given a 1st floor room facing the street when I had asked for a quiet room but excellent double glazed windows meant I heard no street noise. Only noise I did hear were some guests outside their doors talking late at night and my husband told them to shush. Great Wifi. Excellent water pressure in the shower but no bath floor towel?! And the handle of our bathroom door was broken. Very friendly check-in. Oh and the AC worked fine!

We had the best holiday in Nice, the place is beautiful with so much to do! Villa Bougainville was a great holiday, lovely room in the perfect location to everywhere! 2 mins walk to the tram and train station and about 15-20 to the beach. The hotel was clean and the staff were so lovely, Lusine was so helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend and will be back again!

This Hotel is definitely underrated, and it is maybe because not very close to the old downtown. However we stayed there 4 nights and we loved it. My original booking was with "La Malmasion Boutique hotel " but they were so irresponsible to cancel my booking the night before arrival and refund my money which now its value was not enough to book a boutique hotel at last minute, but the "Villa Bougainville " turned out to be a nice replacement. People there are super friendly and helpful. The room was clean with beautiful interior design, my only complaint was the noise from street, because our room was on the street side. I asked them to change my room but for 3 beds they had limited options so they just compensated me with complementary breakfast which was a nice gesture. Overall I was happy with my stay because they ace the customer service.

Very nice hotel. Staff speaks very good English and is very helpful. Breakfast is simple and delicious. Hotel is close to the train station. You can always get hot drinks and water downstairs and the wifi works really well. Good hotel for city hopping!

The hotel really exceeded my expectations. I am surprised to see that hotel is a bit underrated. Staff was super nice. Rooms are comparatively big and clean. Beds were comfy. 2 minutes walk to main Nice central train station. Breakfast was also good given the price. Free coffee's/tea's thought-out the day is a big plus. There is also a printer available near the reception.

Upside: staff were very friendly and helpful, the common area was nice and well-equipped (24/7 water, coffee, tea, etc.), and the breakfast was very good. Downside: the rooms and hallways are pretty shabby and unclean, there were bugs in the shower, the deadbolt on the door didn't work, etc. But the biggest issue was that the air conditioning is ineffective at the best of times and seems to break down frequently. So you might end up paying for AC and sleeping in an intolerably hot room (our first night). They did move us to a better room for our second night, which was nice. Overall, this place did not feel like good value, but given the high price point in Nice it is probably on par with other cheaper four star hotels. I'd recommend looking around a bit for a better 3 or 4 star hotel if you have the flexibility.

The staff are best we have experienced so far in Europe. Amazing staff make the stay very pleasant. They are always so helpful with whatever we needed providing great advice. Unlimited free cold, sparkling or still water was great. Breakfast was lovely, and affordable too. To be honest, Room and balcony was small but it's not a problem at all. It was clean and perfect for us. I highly recommend! We wish we had booked to stay longer. Thanks alot team, great job. Andre :)

Small but cute room with everything needed. Nice reception staff. Good location. Star removed for a light not working in the bathroom and the bins had not been emptied. But a pleasant stay overall.

I went there with my Argentine group of friends. We had a lot of fun. Two of us got lost and the hotel staff reacted quickly and helped us. The perfect trip and the perfect place to get to know each other deeply. Unforgettable.

My partner and I were in the midst of a 16-day trip in multiple cities. When booking our hotels, we knew we needed access to laundry service about halfway through. This halfway point would happen while we stayed in Nice for six nights. When looking at hotels there, we filtered out hotels that don't offer laundry service. We chose the Nice Bougainville by HappyVilla. Booking.com and the hotel website say this hotel offers laundry service. However, when we arrived, we were told that they meant that there were nearby laundromats that we could use ourselves. That is not my definition of laundry service. We didn't want to waste an hour or more waiting at a laundromat, so we ended up purchasing underwear that we don't need to get us through to the end of the trip. In addition to the laundry issue, we had some severe problems with the cleaning service. They came between 10am and 10:30am every day, which was often when we were still in the room. They woke us up at 9:20am one morning. They then came back at 10:15 that same morning, and entered without knocking or saying anything while I was in the shower and my partner was getting changed!

I had a nice stay in this hotel. It was clean, friendly staff always available to fix small issues in my room. I had a late fly and they proposed to keep my lugage until then. I would say a 3 stars then a 4 compare to multiple 4 stars I visited worldwide :)

Very misleading hotel… they say there is a discount on booking websites and you guys wanna know why? Because they dont have airco….. I barely slept because it still was 30 degrees at night. But on the website before I booked it said it has airco because I look especially for that
