Really unfortunate experience. Would firmly recommend against this hotel, and we travel half of the year, so we've experienced a lot of hotels. The hotel itself is nice and clean enough, but if you have ANY need for pleasant customer care or phone/internet usage (even one iota), this is not the place for you. I travel for work and have been unable to do anything online (no matter the hour, I've tried them all) or even make a phone call without it dropping, which created a very serious professional and financial risk for me. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they told me "you go to a hotel to sleep not to work". I asked to be refunded so I could move hotels but they refused, vehemently so. The staff is not courteous and really doesn't treat you like a guest but more like someone they are truly irritated to have to deal with. I asked for a dinner recommendation and she just pointed across the street at a pizza place. Any other recommendations, ideally French, I ask? "Make a right on the street outside the building." Ok, thanks lol. And the real cherry on top - our tour guide came to pick us up in the morning and she told him we didn't have a room there and sent him away - she was the one who checked us in just 12 hours prior! Not much for concierge or even the most basic human service, to say the least. Honestly, I'm really disappointed in the service and lack of basic amenities (if you can even call WiFi an amenity and not just prerequisite service of a hotel). I would recommend to make it a point to not stay here unless you want to feel you are in a city but on a remote island where they don't need or care for your business.

I loved this hotel, and I don't say that often! The price, off season in November, was excellent and the room itself was very beautiful, comfortable and with an amazing view. The room itself was large by French standards, and mid size by American ones (think suite). The bathroom itself was huge! Walk in shower, everything modern, and heated towels along with bathrobes and slippers. The location is great, we walked everywhere except for a bus and a tram that run 3-4 blocks away. It's very well connected. The staff was delightful, greeting us every time we came or went. I had trouble with my luggage and they also helped me figure that out with the airport. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family.

A fabulous hotel. Room was spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was fresh with a good selection of items - with the best scrambled egg. Staff were very helpful and friendly. A great stay. Would recommend.

I stayed in the hotel for 7 days, the service and staff are on a high level, the hotel is very close to the city center, the coast and public transportation

The best hotel in Nice, France! Very stylish and beautiful interior. It is very clean. The location is 10/10, it is in the heart of the center and 5 minutes by walk from the sea. The L2 (tram to the airport) stop is very close, the train station is also very close. There are a lot of restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and shops near it. The reception is open all night and the staff is very helpful and friendly, especially Andy. We are very thankful for all of the recommendations and tips he gave us. We definitely recommend the hotel and we can’t wait to be back here again. ☺️

Perfect location, walking distance to all touristy places. There is a direct tram line from airport (line 2) that stops 2 min from hotel (walking). We went there in low season and got a room upgrade. The room was large, clean and had comfortable beds. The room was cleaned everyday and we got bottled water in the mini fridge. Hotel staff and friendly and helpful. A Bib Michelin restaurant is just around the corner for a nice dinner experience

The staff was very nice, our room was not very big but it was very comfortable and we did not miss anything. I appreciated it was very clean, and also the oxygenwater in cans against plastic bottles, to protect the sea from plastic! The breakfast was really delicious, there are many restaurants and shops around so we had plenty options to choose from, the location was perfect! I highly recommend the place and we hope to come back! Thanks!

It’s lovely place. Located next to the station and shops. The rooms is a bit small, but for the price 150 it was ok. Unfortunately felt water & direct phone to the receptionist

Friendly and helpful staff. Entire facility was immaculately clean. Location is excellent for public transportation and walking to the beach and city center. The only negative is that the wifi is spotty at best.

Room was a reasonable size, very clean, and good service every day. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast had hot and cold food with very good choices. Lift to fourth floor a bit small but manageable. Would definitely return for another stay.

We were in the hotel for about 2 weeks. The location of the hotel is excellent. Breakfast was fine, full and tasty. Especially thanks to the hotel staff, the room was always clean, always friendly. Thanks for our good vacation.

Cold hotel just off Jean Medecin. "Executive room" with uncomfortable, pretentious furnishings including faux-leather sofa. Very odd, long shape. No service to speak of. The photograph of the exterior gives a false impression that the hotel occupies a Belle Epoque palace. It does not. It occupies a few floors of one wing. Maybe a dozen or so rooms. Over-priced, for the tourist-business class. Could not wait to leave after a one-night stay to fly to Corsica the next day. Shower poorly constructed. Water ran onto the floor, almost causing flooding.

Great location, only 15 mins in a taxi from the airport and all the key areas of interest are within 10-15 minutes walk. Plenty of restaurants close by. Hotel was fresh, clean and decor to a high standard for the level of hotel. Rooms were spacious enough, enough hangers and shelving. Good selection at breakfast all fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend as a base for Nice.

Too bad I just spent one night, best location, close to restaurants and the beach. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Only minor issue is that room is small but it's ok ;)

Stayed at the top floor, air condition doesn’t work, bathroom is very stinky, bathroom door is broken and wouldn’t close properly. The furnitures are not kids friendly. My 3 year old was sitting on the chair next to the coffee table. The chair and coffee table together fell on top of him. He had very bad bruises on head and foot. We talked to the manager of the hotel. They were able to give us a new room that is more kids friendly. Location is not the best, you have to walk a little distance for everything. There is a little kids playground next to the hotel behind the church.

Beware of confusing this hotel with the similar sounding Hotel Victor Hugo Nice. Fortunately they're both on the same Boulevard (Victor Hugo) and ten minutes apart. Once we found the correct Venu we were suitably impressed. Reception was manned by polite, multilingual and helpful staff. There is a good working lift, which was just as well as we were on the 6th floor, though limited to a maximum of three people. The room was nicely furnished with a small, open wardrobe area, reasonably quiet aircon and a modern en suite, all tastefully decorated. It was fairly compact but impeccably clean. We had a good sleep with very little, if any, disturbance. Breakfast starts at 07:00 and comprises a mix of continental and British/US foods, including sausages and eggs. Good coffee from the two machines. Again the breakfast room was very clean and agreeably decorated. We were very happy with the night spent here and would fully recommend this hotel.

We needed a hotel that would accommodate a family of 4. The room they gave us was on a top floor with great views of the city. It was clean and the hotel is well maintained. The bathroom was stocked and clean. The best part was the hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach and they provide towels to take with you. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helped with dinner advise and directions. Overall we were very happy and would stay here again.

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights on a city break. I have been to France many times but never to Nice. Would recommend it to anyone! The hotel is in a very good location, 5 minutes to the beach less than 10 to the old city. There are lots of bars and restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel. The staff in the hotel are VERY friendly and VERY helpful. The room are just as the photos on the website and are very clean and comfortable. People visiting France for the first time may think the rooms are small but hotels in general in France have small rooms. The bathroom as very clean and again just per the website. The only thing I would say to the owners to make it a little better would be, the shower does not have a full door so when you have a shower the floor gets wet. I could see that the wooden door frame was damaged from the water over time, so if you fixed that, it would be perfect. The room as serviced very day and was cleaned to a very good standard. Would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to stay in the hotel.

Could not have been more pleased. Large sunlit room. Big bathroom. Helpful staff. Good location and walkable to sea front and old town. I go back in a second!

We stayed 3 nights here Feb/March 2020. Location is great for getting about. It was nice and clean, room was a good size. Continental breakfast was as expected, with plenty of choice. Staff were all friendly. Good value for location. Would certainly recommend it.

Great hotel with comfortable rooms! Quiet neighborhood at night but "close" to all of the fun.

RUDE, INCONSIDERATE, DISRESPECTFUL AND UNHELPFUL!!!!!! WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE YOUR NEEDS DUE TO SERIOUS ILLNESS!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY LIKE MOST. so, my husband and I booked this hotel for one night in Nice because we we’re going on vacation and meeting my family the next day. so we only needed a hotel for one night until joining family. The day before our flight to nice, my husband and I both tested positive for covid-19 (while taking a test to be able to fly). We were completely unaware we had covid because we experienced no symptoms. We called the hotel and explained to them that we are now unable to travel and that we can provide proof by sending them our positive results from the doctor. The woman who answered was SO rude and said she didn’t care what type of illness we had that there’s “NOTHING THEY CAN DO.” We didn’t even ask for a refund at first, we simply asked to reschedule our one night stay for when we are able to travel again and she said absolutely not. So we then begged for a refund because this was completely out of our control and she proceeded to say that because we only booked one night, there’s nothing she can do. and she had a major attitude which i think is extremely insensitive at a time like this where the entire world is experiencing problems related to covid… she said that if we had booked more nights at the hotel that maybe she would be able to help us but that it’s “high season” and she “can’t bother with a one night stay.” ridiculous. so we would never decide to stay at this hotel now anyways and even if we lost money at least we discovered how rude and unhelpful the staff is BEFORE going.
