Corona time and that means in this hotel no breakfast buffet. And not really much to choose, but that is okay. By example, no eggs or fresh orange juice. One day we got too much ripe and already brown/black bananas that we cannot eat anymore. That is not good of course. And instead of 4 croissants we got two while we ordered 4 earlier. The day after was that all corrected again. Staff is friendly, room is clean and enough space for the two of us.

Easy to reach - next to train station but not noisy. Pleasant room, bed was comfortable but rolled if you're not careful!. Towels a bit stiff, but good. Breakfast had many choices. Relaxing vibe. I'd stay here again.

The hotel is in a great and easy location. The service is very good. The rooms and bathrooms are warm, comfortable and clean. The hotel management must ensure that they keep one or two small bottles of drinking water in the room until guests find some time to go out to maintain their needs.

Nothing great about the hotel. We were given improper rooms with special request of beds accepted but not provided when we arrived. There were problems with some of the appliances too and the wasn't courteous enough to address it.

The hotel is beautiful. Room is in good size for 2 pax. Huge bathroom with a bathtub which is a bonus for hot summer days. Amenities are great. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Hotel location is great. Just 300m from the main train station to connect you to everywhere. I feel safe even at late night. One of the best stay in Nice

Loved our stay here in Nice! The staff were super helpful and friendly with our late check in after a long flight, and were kind enough to hold onto our bags after check out while we we waiting for our train. The location is great, right next to the main train station and within walking distance from the tram. You can get to the beach and town on foot and there are plenty of options for food, wine, groceries, all nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in room 107 I think it was? The towels smelt like damp, even after they changed them the second day. They either were not cleaned properly or need to be changed. Also they're grey which makes me wonder why they're not white like other hotels and what stains are hidden by that. The bathroom had a constant flow sound of water which was a bit annoying trying to sleep. You could hear people talking outside at all hours going up the stairs. Walls are thin at parts. Elevator is tiny but thankfully we were on the first floor and didn't have too much luggage but keep that in mind. That's more of a French thing but still good to know. The fan was fairly loud after turning it off for a couple of minutes. Annoying right before bed. Location is far from the nicer parts of Nice. Convenient if you're getting a train but the area is rough. There's a shop across the way that accused me of shoplifting (falsely) because I had a tote bag and went in for a look one night and didn't buy anything (everything was overpriced). He said the area is so common with theft that he accused me too? With no proof. Crazy person. Reception was so-so. Positive was the room's water pressure was good and the bed was nice. For the price the room wasn't worth it though. It was cheaper but wouldn't return. Value wasn't there even at that price.

Great place! Clean, friendly, modern and great location. An easy stay, heading back for another night. We left town for a few days but didn't need to bring all of our stuff so they held onto our bags for us no problem. Great stay!

This is a great hotel to stay in. Room was lovely, bed was very comfortable, the fridge in the room was very handy, very powerful shower. Only a three minute walk to Nice train station and less than 15 minutes walk to the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely go back.

Great location. Rooms are on the small side but they're comfortable and tasteful. Staff are very lovely and pleasant. This was the second time we've stayed here and we would definitely come back.

Cleaning routines need to improve drastically. There were not only dust bunnies one the floor but also hair left by other guests in the bathroom.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it. The staff is very kind and our rooms were great. Just as on the photos. The hotel is well situated and even though its close to the railway station it was not sketchy to walk around in the night, as in some other european cities.

The pros: hotel is close to the train station. The staff are very nice and speak English It is very affordable. You can leave your luggage free of charge at the hotel until check in time. There is air conditioning unit in the room but we didn’t need it staying in November. Balcony windows can be opened instead. The rooms are small but liveable. There is a tiny desk, a kettle, air dryer, a fridge (hidden away in the wardrobe), shower gel and hand soap in the bathroom. Cons: it is very noisy in the room from the nearby road and railway so if you are a light sleeper look elsewhere as even ear buds don’t fully remove the sound. Paper cups in the room! Really? Only on the first day we got a bigger paper cup, the rest of the trip we were only left espresso paper cups. Such a waste of paper cups. Cheap ceramic mugs would have been so much better. Teabags were refilled sporadically. One on first night, 3 on second, none for the rest of the stay. Double bed is actually two single beds that are pushed together and they keep sliding apart so no way to lie in the middle if you are on your own or close to each other if you are a couple. Also the bedding isn’t meant for single beds and the way the sheets are made is silly, they keep bunching up so you have to straighten them up all the time. Hotel provides breakfast but at €12 you can get something lovelier in town instead. Maybe €7-8 would be more appropriate. The website mentions €5 euro breakfast but it is in fact €12. The bed linens are a bit frayed and the towels look very worn with bleach stains. In our room the toilet seat in the bathroom wasn’t properly fixed and kept sliding about every time you sit on the loo. All in all it is fine for a short stay at a cheap price. Look elsewhere if you need a good nights sleep or a comfortable place to do work.

Amazing smell when entering my room for the first time. They had a travel crib setup already for me upon arrival (I requested and it was free). Clean and modern hotel and nicely designed rooms. Very convenient to the Nice Ville train station. We walked everywhere (25-45 min through the most main parts of Nice) but also very close to the trolly through town. I would stay again! The bathroom is the biggest I've seen in Europe with a huge relaxing tub. Piping hot water. I'd highly recommend. Only negative is we were only given 1 white towel and grey towels. Im not against using the same towel throughout my stay but I'd prefer to use only white towels to see any stains. When I asked the cleaner for new towels, she pointed to the unused grey ones we had, and did not give us a new towel. Also front staff speaks good English but cleaners do not which is okay :)

It's a wonderful hotel, very well located right near the train station. The staff is very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. I would highly recommend this for anyone coming for a budget trip.

We loved staying at hotel So'co. We spent 4 nights. We arrived at 10:00 o clock in the morning and we could check in early. The bed was super comfortabel, room was very clean. We saw on their website that the bedroom was small. So that did not surprised us. The location is near the trainstation so it's easy if you want to go for a day to Monaco, Villefrance Sur Mer or Grasse. And lots of good restaurant near by. We recommend it!

The hotel is run down, dirty, the staff didn’t clean properly, some things were broken in the room (the lavatory) and there was dust. Furthermore, two rings got stolen from our room. We informed the staff and first they said they trust their cleaners and the next day, they informed us that we weren’t the first ones who had something stolen from their room. So they were aware that a cleaning lady among them stole the possessions of their customers and still, she came to work. This is highly unprofessional.

(Update: this hotel tried to pay me to take my review down this review, so if there willing to pay me off, I can only assume they did it to others.) I just came back from staying at this hotel. They charged an absorbentive price for what they'provide. I understand that it's the summer and surge pricing is a thing. However, this hotel is not worth nearly what we were charged. We ordered a room with a queen size bed that was not provided to us. I could not sit on the toilet properly in our hotel room because the toilet and the sink are so close.(I am only 180cm tall and my partner is 155cm). The elevator was frankly dangerous and by the end of our stay they had to shut it down. They did not provided us any other avenue to get to and from the top floor which they had us. Finally, the male on the night shift was quite rude and the towels weren't even then same color . Beware do not stay here. Just pay the extra 100€ a night an get something far away from this place . FYI, the price for this "hotel" in November is 59€ per night. I paid over 4 times that much. Don't let the season fool you. It's a budget hostel by the train station. Nothing more

My stay at So'Co Hotel Nice July 2022 was perfect ! They have a strategic location, it's 12 minutes walk from the beach , just 270 meters from the train stations and 500 meters from the nearest tram strop, the staff is very friendly, they are always looking jovial and hospital. The rooms are cozy, always clean and the breakfast is served daily where you can found coffee, pastries, different kind of delicious juices, toasts ... I highly recommend it !

very good location (close to train station but my back-facing room was quiet, with no railway noise). room small but clean and with decent facilities including shower. hipsterish vibe prevalent throughout hotel but not excessively so; staff welcoming and friendly and keen to help .

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly and someone was at the front desk 24/7. They allowed me to leave my luggage with them before check-in time. I had a room with a double bed. It had everything I could need in it. The hotel and hotel room were clean. A closet, a safety box, a bathroom with shampoo and soap. The bed was comfortable. The A/C was working well and the room was cold when I arrived. The TV worked well and the audio could be changed back to English since the French dub even English TV shows. The hotel is extremely close to the train station. The area appears safe. There are bakeries nearby and a small market. I would highly recommend this hotel for travelers who are looking to easily commute between different cities in the French Riviera. I did not participate in turndown service as I was at the hotel for 3 night and did not need any housekeeping during that time.

The main reason we chose this hotel was the location. Is within walking distance from the train station. We found the price was not that bad compare to other places. The hotel is really nice. The rooms are not too big. But they are comfortable. The decor is also nice. The bathroom has a lot of space. The rooms can be a bit stuffy during spring because of the weather transition. There is no way to control the temperature in the room. However this didn’t bother me cause I’m use to heat since im from the Caribbean and air conditioning is not something everyone has or uses. My friend on the other hand was more uncomfortable about this so she had to ask for a fan. Other than that. I believe the hotel is a great option. The staff was also great and accommodating

This hotel was very clean, with modern decor, decent location and very helpful staff. The lobby is very inviting. The location is convenient to the train stations as it is about a 5 minute walks. Be careful when showering. The shower partition doesn’t seem to be wide enough on the bath tub. We also think that the garbage cans should be bigger. We would certainly stay again.

We stayed at the hotel in July 2019 for 2 nights. We let the staff know way ahead that we are coming quite early before check-in time and we dropped our luggage at the lobby because early check-in wasn't an option (which was totally understandable, it was the peak of the season). We came back to the hotel at the check-in time and we were informed that our room will not be ready for another 1 hour. After all it was ready just about 1,5 hours later. The hotel was obviously understaffed which shouldn't have happened. The receptionist promised to contact the manager to check if they could compensate us in any way for this inconvenience but that obviously never happened. Also just "we are sorry" would work. Also don't be fooled by the suggestion that if you don't use the daily cleaning service, you get some kind of a small treat. It is just an excuse for being understaffed. The room itself was clean, the hotel location was also very convenient, right next to the railway station.

The hotel has good potential but is also in need of some TLC and some attention. We found a purchase tag on a shelf of an item someone had bought which means the room wasn't cleaned carefully and during Covid times I expected some more attention. The bed was clean and comfortable. Check-out was earlier than any other hotel we had stayed in during our trip. Location was also good. Update following reply: Thank you for your reply Eleonora. We were pleased with the hotel, it was welcoming and cute, but we feel there are some shortcomings which need some attention. For example, the switch for the night lamp on my side of the bed was so full of oily fingerprints that I didn't want to touch it, so I cleaned it myself before using it (I carry dettol wipes in my bag), the lamp itself (the one of two hanging on the bed) kept falling on my face so I couldn't use it and we struggled to get it to stay put, my husband fixed the fridge unit as it was disassembling. Little things like this that make a difference to a room that could look so lovely. Obviously, we weren't pleased to find the purchase tag on the shelf but it wasn't the case to look for a solution given the time and that we were exhausted from travelling. The hotel surely has potential, the location is lovely, the reception area is welcoming, parking nearby is safe, it just needs some attention.

It has a good location and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside was that there were lots of noisy vents and air conditioning units that detracted from the general ambience.
