Nice restaurant in a central location with okay service and good value for the money. The pasta with clams was delicious while the short rib we ordered was probably over cooked a bit and way too fatty of a cut. Just expected more for the price point of a short rib. The winner is definitely the crème brûlée which was amazing! Probably recommend to come just for dessert because it was delicious. Probably stick with the pasta and seafood here.

My partner and I ate here on out third night in Nice and it was good. We split the tuna tar tar (5/5 order that it is amazing), the octopus (which is fine/good) and the crème brûlée for dessert which was massive. Overall it all tasted fresh. It was good. No complaints.

Paella tasted amazing and the portion size was so big! The seafood tower was reasonably priced and had a lot of variety. However, I don't know if it was because we were obviously tourists, the service was really slow. Still give a 5 stars and hopefully they can improve on that.

Huge amazing portions so watch out when you order. Mom came for the mussels, and they did not disappoint!! $20 for a whole lot of mussels and some clams. The sea bream was delicious. Highly recommend the egg with oyster...black truffle!!

We ordered lobster pasta and French solo. Food was very nice and large enough to fill up. They were cooked perfectly. White wine was very good paired to food as well.

I haven’t really enjoyed my meal at Boccaccio. Huge portions (no sense to make such huge portions and waste food we couldn’t rationally eat). It’s the first time I think a restaurant should reduce the amount of food offered. Average quality. I want to mention Boccaccio restaurant has a great staff. They have been friendly and polite with us which improved the overall experience. Pricing ok. The restaurant is a bit old style.

We had a good time here, with a feast of seafood. We got the basket of seafood, a dish with tuna and mango I believe, a sea bream, and six more de Claire N3 oysters. We loved it. Mocktails are good too. Our server was super nice and friendly. The restaurant itself looked great as well with all those decorations. Highly recommended.

I was close to giving this place 5 stars if it weren’t for the under par service. The food is a little better than average but nothing exceptional or memorable. Well maybe the oversized crème brûlée dessert. I’ve never seen a dessert for one person that big. The place is nice, clean and the location is pretty good too. The problem we had was the service. They had a couple of older waiters who came off unfriendly. They helped seat us and took our order. We then had a younger waiter who did an amazing job at first but seemed to become overwhelmed closer to when we were finishing. His initial service was pushing me to give 5 stars. But then it got slow. Took over 10 mins to get a bottle of water. When we ordered black tea he forgot to provide hot water. Hopefully it was just our experience.

Very clean toilets and friendly customer service. Waitstaff spoke English well. Delicious fruity white wine. Forewarning: the seafood paella is 34 euros per person, not per pan!

Gigantic portions at gigantic prices. Had lunch here: oysters, paella and fruits de mar pasta. The flavours were ok and not worth the price. The oysters tasted like they had brine poured over them. The location is also nothing spectacular. Perhaps other items are better?

A nice restaurant , quality products, nice dishes, good wines. Oyster Gillardeau n1 was my choice (a very good one) the Paella was amazing with a lot of seafood ,Rose et Or from Château Minuty a very good rose Service was ok (also if it’s a very busy place) I recommend to make a reservation, or you can wait (but is a big line all the time)

We were very disappointed with the service. The service was very slow and the waiter didn’t alert us that the food we ordered was too much. We ended up with a whole paella portion almost untouched. The food taste was good but nothing exceptional. It took them more than an hour to bring us the food. All in all the experience was bad.

Caution: portion is HUGE. Like American size huge. We were struggling to finish 2 pasta and one appetizer. They taste so good, though, so definitely will come back the next time we're in Nice

Food was amazing! Loved the ambiance. We had the paella and calamari. The portions were perfect for family style.

The Boccaccio restaurant was definitely the culinary highlight of our staying in Nice, a level above all the other (perhaps more touristy) restaurant we tried. We dine on seafood and we were not disappointed. The sauted mussels were done in a very traditional way, and we're really good. The paella, oh well you have to try paella in Nice right?.. :) well, it was nicely done and quite tasty. And the French Sole Mouniere was delicious, albeit a tiny bit overcooked. Portions were in the very generous side. Not wanting to be cheap, you may consider sharing most of the orders with another person and you still would have eaten quite a bit. We were (easily) convinced to try the peculiar take on profiterole and the vanilla ice cream was top notch. Service is courteous and friendly, and the atmosphere is ok, perhaps better inside than outside - more comfortable and descript ( the outside may look like any other cafe).

TLDR: Great oysters. Great sea bream. Even better service and indoor dining experience. The oysters are great, fresh and juicy. I wouldn’t recommend the Basket full of seafood if ur not into raw clams or conch; it wasn’t my cup of tea. Skip the tuna sashimi with mango, it doesn’t blend well. The sea bream was cooked perfectly, tender but not too soggy. The service was top notch. Quick and attentive. And the air conditioning, this is probably the only restaurant around that actually offers air conditioning to battle the heat of Nice in August.

I want to give 5 stars but I will withhold 1 star for portion sizes! The portion sizes in this restaurant make no sense! They are too much… we wanted to have desserts but when we saw how much crème brûlée was served at the table beside ours, we dropped the idea. It was enough to feed a table of 5. This means there is too much food wastage & I cannot support that! Otherwise I ordered the duck & it was great.. the sauce was superb! The seafood pasta was also very nice but the portion was so huge that finishing it felt like a task!! I guess portion control would also mean price optimization and that is something much needed I feel.

Very fresh seafood. Crab is very meaty and only 25 euro which is really high value for the money.Lobster pasta is very tasty. The portion is big and recommend two people share one. Service is good and dining environment is nice. They didn’t charge anything for table bread and tap water. The table bread olive bread was warm and very fresh. I recommend it to everyone especially who loves seafood.

Really enjoyed our dinner at Boccacio. Food is tasty and with a good quality. Totally recommend

What a lovely experience! The food was incredible fresh- the sea bass tasted like heaven- it felt as if this fish has had a nice life- perhaps was the taste of black truffles and the crunchy skin floating on top of the most beautiful and delicious rice I’ve had in a while- incredible distinguishable flavours. 10/10- would recommend to anyone. Thanks to the lovely waiters who were super attentive to every detail.

Amazing experience. Amazing mix of sea food as a starter and really tasty octopus. Amazing stuff. We had to wait for a table and they invited us to the waiting room with free prosecco. All stuff speak perfect english. Just an amazing evening.

I have been to this restaurant with my family for dinner. The food is very good and the quality of ingredients is very high. The staff is qualified and helpful and the service is very fine. The paella is amazing and I recommend it.

The staff was very attentive, and the food was well portioned. It wasn't the best paella I have ever had in my life, but it was the best paella experience I've ever had in my life. Come try the seafood paella (bring a couple friends because the 2 person portion is enough for 4 people) with some Spanish ham to start! Be aware that all the mint based drinks are made with creme de menthe which is much closer to American tooth paste flavor than natural mint.

This is really great restaurant. The seafood was so fresh. The spaghetti with good taste. Waitress were so friendly.

Good athmosphere. Great service. Outstanding food. Dishes are extra large, we barely finished half of what we ordered when visited this restaurant for the first time. One of the best in Nice.

The Paella was simply amazing! The Chorizo on it was very special, and the desert was also great (we had crème brûler and île flottant).
