Used to like this place but as of recently it feels like it’s gone down the hill. The staff is forgetful. I ordered a salad, the only veggie option which had a bug in it. I haven’t even eaten half of it and I couldn’t continue as I was grossed out. Then I ordered a dessert and been waiting for it 30 minutes. Turned out they forgot, you would think they would want to patch things up quickly instead made my customer experience even worse. It’s not the first time they forgot about my order. They even charged me for the salad I couldn’t finish. Even though I paid for the whole day at the beach club, I left the place straight after lunch as I was disgusted by their attitude. Really disappointing :-(

They close at 18.30 (forcing you to miss the best relaxing hour for sun) 2. A bottle of Evian is 9 euro, also at lunch. It means that water here is more expensive than in a michelin starred restaurant. Quite too much.

Spent a relaxing first and last day of our trip here. The drinks are expensive - eg €6 for a very small cappuccino- so when we came back the second time we bought two big bottles of water with us and a couple bags of snacks. Bizarrely, we were told we couldn’t drink our own water or have our own snacks but we could take advantage of their free water. Would’ve been nice to have been informed of this before hand and can’t say I saw any signs indicating this. We were given a bottle of tap water and three glasses. What a weird rule. Apart from that it was okay, until one of our party tried to leave to go to a shop and buy a newspaper. He came back and was told he couldn’t re-enter. Had no idea you have to remain at the beach club after paying for the slot. Again, didn’t see any signage. This rule was not communicated to us whatsoever. The waiters were okay, pretty attentive and there were lots of them walking around. I had a salad for lunch both times and it was very tasty but expensive for what it was (€25). I would recommend bringing sea shoes as the pebbles are hard on your feet. Also the lights in the changing rooms didn’t work.

On the second day we were in the middle of one of the longer rows towards the back and really struggled for service (waiving people down for 20+ mins each time we tried to order). I think they need to increase staff by 2-3 people and it would improve significantly. Otherwise, a really great experience!

Our family of 4 had a great time at Castel Plage Beach Club. Our server Matt was amazing and very attentive! He always had service with a smile. The water was beautiful and very refreshing. The chairs were comfortable and the umbrellas gave us shade. We ordered the greek salad and foccacia bread which were delicious. Highly recommend this place 2when in Nice 😊

Great service and decent food. We were looking for a beach club as walk in after visiting the flower market and came across this place opposite. As walk in, you do get a seat towards the back. It’s €30 for a sun bed/day. Best to book in advance to get the best seat during peak season. The beach itself was spectacular! I’d highly advise visitors to wear water shoes as the pebble beach can be a pain to walk in.

Spent 2 days at this private beach area. The service was phenomenal! Both days I had Sharley serve/help me. He is both attentive and very kind! He deserves a raise, very hard working! Reception - Friendly and welcoming as well. Beds are comfy and nice t mats/rope to get into the water. (Not big on walking on the rocks.) Food was delicious - I tried the ceviche, fresh fish fritto misto (my personal favourite), lobster pasta & the sushi. I loved being able to order champagne and enjoying it throughout the day! Ps. Don’t forget to book your bed in advance (you can do this online). Approx $30 euro for the full day.

The pasta is divine. The seafood exquisite. The ambiance perfection. I definitely plan on coming back the next time I’m in Nice. Bravo!

Never had a bad meal here. Its a good place to laze the day away on a chaise lounge or come for a beach-side lunch. As its at the end of the beach with almost a small cove, the sea can be calmer for swimming.
