Mets and Café is a wonderful spot for a reasonably priced delicious meal! Not to mention the service was fantastic and a very welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the two daily specials and the tarte aux pomme and loved it! Would highly recommend this place :)

The service was super friendly. We didn't speak a word of French, but they explained everything as best as they could plus the food was amazing. I highly recommend it.

Definitely a 5-star. We just landed in Nice in the afternoon, and found this restaurant opens (a lot is closed from 2-7pm). The owner(?) was super nice to explain his everyday-different menu. We ordered a mussuel dish to share. He split it into two portions to serve us. Even served us free fries. Food is very tasty, made of fresh ingredients. A 5-star experience with good food and extremely friendly service. Thank you!

Très bien!!! I went for dinner, an hour before closing time on a week day. Some people stoping by for a café or just to say hi to the proprietor. I seemed to be the only one eating, but I felt very welcome. I tried a dish of the day, braised pork with noodles, and also had tiramisu for dessert. All delicious. I went back for breakfast another day. I also found the food to be delicious and staff to be very friendly - they all seemed to know some English too. The one I presume is the proprietor even recognized me at breakfast and greeted me. For a drink or to eat, I highly recommend!

This place is great! It’s so unassuming, which makes it even more amazing. The food was excellent, especially for the price. In the evening there is only one person working both the dining room and the kitchen and still the tartare was made fresh!!!

Pleasantly cozy cafe near the main street of Jean Médecin. Good breakfast of omelette and hot drinks for a very reasonable fee. The host was super sympa and kind with fast service. Pleasant experience overall.

We were searching fot a place to sit for lunch since a lot of restaurants in Nice are closed from 2pm-7pm. This place was a great find! The service and the waitress were super nice and fast. They also spoke English and were very kind. They recommended us some dishes of the day which we took, and they were freshly made and very tasty! Prices were good too ☺️ The atmosphere was also very nice and calm. I would definitely come back! Highly recommend 😀

One of the best spots in Nice, the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, the food is absolutely incredible and fresh. The menu is always changing which makes every visit worth checking it out. Great prices for even better food. Can’t recommend enough to people visiting Nice. Vegetarian options, speak English for non French speakers, and a great atmosphere right on the corner of a cute French square.

When you walk in here be prepared for ‘the French dining experience’ and at a great price. I walked in and was greeted with a warm “Bonjour Madame”. I was in before dinner time, and asked to eat, the owner began to explain they are not serving at this time. I then requested a Niçoise salad and his whole demeanour was instead filled with enthusiasm. He lead me to a table, pulled the chair for me, laid utensils out along with bread. He then went into the kitchen and made me a fresh Niçoise salad. When he brought it out he bellowed a warm bon appetite. This experience was a thrill.

Absolutely fantastic food 3 courses, wine brandy and coffee fabulous service and food and unbelievable price, we were going back last night but our flight was cancelled and we had to leave Nice early sadly thank you xx

This place is a total rip off! We came around lunch time, ordered 3 items. The first order was a burger but the plate came with just the patty, the bread was missing. The 2nd food was an omelette, the plate came in with a tiny portion of omelette (probably used 1 egg) and the whole tree of naked salad that costs us 9€. The 3rd order was a pie. Tasteless. The service was terrible too. Staff need to go to a training course to wait tables. I don't recommend this place. AT ALL.
