We
recently
dined
at
Big
Fernand
with
high
hopes,
given
the
number
of
reviews.
Upon
entering,
I
was
met
with
an
environment
that
lacked
any
freshness.
The
air
felt
stagnant
and
stifling,
almost
as
if
the
circulation
hadn’t
been
opened
in
days.
However,
what
truly
caught
my
attention
for
all
the
wrong
reasons
was
our
table.
It
was
visibly
dirty
and
had
a
sticky
residue
that
made
me
question
the
cleanliness
standards
of
the
entire
establishment.
While
I
could
have
overlooked
this
as
a
one-off
oversight,
what
transpired
next
left
a
lasting
negative
impression.
We
decided
to
order
fries
alongside
our
burgers.
To
say
they
were
a
disappointment
would
be
an
understatement.
The
fries
were
not
fresh,
and
it
was
evident
that
they
had
been
fried,
left
to
cool,
and
then
simply
reheated
for
our
order.
The
pieces
were
frustratingly
small,
making
them
hard
to
pick
up,
and
their
texture
was
off-puttingly
hard,
rendering
them
almost
inedible.
You
can
see
it
from
the
pictures
I
took.
Now,
it
wasn't
all
bad.
The
hamburger
with
blue
cheese
did
deliver
on
taste.
The
meat
was
flavorful
and
the
bun
was
soft
and
fresh.
Yet,
this
lone
highlight
couldn't
overshadow
the
multiple
negatives.
Furthermore,
given
the
subpar
service
and
food
quality,
it
felt
like
a
slap
in
the
face
to
be
charged
such
high
rates.
It's
one
thing
to
charge
premium
prices,
but
the
experience
and
offerings
should
match,
and
sadly,
this
wasn’t
the
case
here.
All
in
all,
while
they
might
have
a
delicious
blue
cheese
burger,
the
overall
experience
was
marred
by
the
lack
of
cleanliness,
substandard
fries,
and
disproportionate
pricing.
We
genuinely
wanted
to
enjoy
our
visit,
but
I
can
confidently
say
that
I
won't
be
giving
this
place
a
second
chance.
