Wonderful small (only about ten tables) family run restaurant offering excellent food and friendly service. Located on a quiet street walkable from old town area. Fairly priced wine list. My wife and I both enjoyed a 3 course price fixe option of Bonita, Duck and cold Cherry soup. Exceptional value. Due to the size of the venue, reservations highly recommended. Worthy of 5 stars

Another wonderful family run restaurant! The husband cooked and the wife served as the hostess. Her english is very good and that helped us a lot and made the visit more interesting. Most importantly the food was fantastic! We went there twice and everything we ordered was great. The decor is very nice and it is a small and intimate setting. Make sure you buy one of their jars of jam on your way out! Highly recommended

The food is amazing here! It is bands down our best meal on our Cote d’Azur trip. The chef clearly pour his heart in every dish here. Highly recommended.

Wonderful dining experience! Small but thoughtful menu. Everything I had was incredible, from the amuse bouche to the homemade terrine, to the bread, to the sear on the fish. The flavors were balanced and plates well-presented. It is clear that the owner and chef put their whole hearts into their establishment. I am happy to recommend Restaurant Origines!

Lovely restaurant ran by a wife (hostess) & husband (chef). The care they put into the place is obvious from the selection of the decor & the pride with which the hostess explained each of the dishes. Appreciated the fact that she was not snooty nor condescending. Also appreciated the inventiveness of the dishes - standouts were the beef & the lamb. Some of the dishes seemed a little similar after a while either because of the ingredients used or the way the dish was prepared. There is no outdoor seating but the large window made the dining area felt light & airy. Minor quibble & not the fault of the restaurant. There was a couple seated in the middle of the dining area who were on their first date & they were very loud. We were able to hear their whole Tinder journey from beginning to end. Thank goodness they left before our first dish arrived :-) The place can be very romantic but be mindful of the other diners and contribute to the overall atmosphere by having quieter conversations.

I came for their set lunch menu and OH MY GOD it doesn't get better than that. Three meal course for only 30€! For a touristic city such as Nice the price is unbeatable and the quality is nearly gourmet. I definitely recommend and would go again!

We had a wonderful dinner at Origines. Every bite of food was delicious! At our table, we each ordered differently and thus had the opportunity to try many of the dishes. I had the cuttlefish starter, and for my main, selected the duck. We shared the three desserts on the menu for dessert and agreed the black forest cake was the best, but couldn't restrain ourselves from cleaning all three plates. Service was lovely - we were guided to excellent wines and had some nice conversation with France who speaks beautiful English (thank you for indulging our lack of French!). The atmosphere inside Origines communicated that it's run by people who care. Every detail, from the beautiful flowers to the cork-backed menus to the dishware, showed attentiveness. I highly recommend having a meal at Origines when you are in Nice.

Great restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious and well thought out, the wine was excellent and the service was perfect. Would definitely go again for a special occasion as it was this time!

Booked this restaurant for my fiancés 30th birthday and it did not disappoint. The food was simply incredible and the host was lovely. Only a small Restuarant but a great size and spacious. Perfect for a special dinner. Highly recommend!

Wow! The experience from start to finish was fantastic. The knowledge of the produce and wine was impressive. This has to be one for the best meals we have had. Highly recommend Origines!!

An amazing lunch here! French food was delicious and French and a great price too!

The oxtail was good, as well as the vegetables. But the rest like lamb and pate were bland. Service was okay. Overall worth a try if you are up to something different.

Simply delicious. Stumbled upon by chance and it made the happiest evening of our trip to France. Overall heartfelt dining experience, where you can see through the owners’ professional yet personal hospitality in every moment, every bite. Each dish has intricate and creative flavour combinations, but somehow familiar and down to earth. Modern chic decor, good level of music, generous use of space and laid-back homey atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Amazing french food. We really loved it. The chestnut soup was very unique, great flavor. The artichoke salad was the best artichoke we had and the fish was perfect.

About 8 minutes relaxed walk from Place Masséna and absolutely worth it! Super friendly staff, small and cosy location. The dishes we had have all been really perfect, no matter if surprising combinations like roasted Octopus | Black Pudding | Pepper puree or classical ones like the starter Pate or the Raspberry cheesecake as dessert. Quality has it’s price and at Origines it was totally reasonable and fair. Strongly recommend to visit!

Totally worth it !! The chef makes every dish by his heart, perfect seasoning and combinations on each dish. The atmosphere is very cozy and makes us feel like home. Good service and the owners are very nice. Will definitely come back again!

Modern, but cozy ambience, reasonably priced dinner menu with quality ingredients and nice presentation. Attentive, English speaking waitress, fast service. Really nothing to complain about, you might find even more cosy and more sophisticated places, but absolutely hits the bar.

The best service and food we have had in all of France. The combination of food choices and sauces were so superb it will wake up your food palate. There was not one thing on the menu we didn’t like. Highly recommend this restaurant.
