Me and my wife went there. She wanted a main dish and I wanted a drink. After sitting and ordering, the waitress came and told us to order two main dishes or we can’t stay. We left immediately. I do not recommend honestly this place. With such policy, I have suspicions about their mentality when it comes to food quality and cleanliness.

I rarely write reviews, but this is worth it. Le Socrate is one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in Nice. In the 2 weeks I’ve been here I’ve already been twice and plan to go back more. The food is amazing. Their falafel is the best falafel I’ve ever had in my life and their garlic sauce is fantastic. The small plates make it easy to share food with others and, with pita, make your own sandwiches with a mix of the items. The service is top notch. Paul, our server both times, is incredibly attentive, gives good recommendations, and is super funny and friendly. If you like Lebanese / Mediterranean food you have to go.

Food is tasty but service needs a lot of improvement. To top it all, a piece of glass was found in my food :(

Really overpriced for a Shawarma plate! You have better options in the city for the same price. The service was ok, the food was not well seasoned, but luckily the garlic sauce helped to cover any lack of taste.

Shout out a loud for Socrate’s falafels. The outside was extremely crispy and crunchy. Inside was warm and moisture. Although deep fried, but tasted much lighter than almost all the falafels I have had so far. The grounded chickpeas were perfectly spiced with great aroma. The Moussaka came with some chickpeas, less cheesy, meaty and starchy than the ones I had before, but was equally delicious. I also enjoyed the fattoush, which was always a classic and refreshing appetizer in middle eastern cuisine. Socrate’s service was also the top notch!

Nice Lebanese restaurant. Good menus offers at reasonable price. Falafel was average (thick and no crunchy). Salads and mezza were good. Grills were in tiny portions but fine.

Oddly, the restaurant says it was open today but it wasn’t. At 12:15pm, there were 4 small groups of us waiting outside, wondering why the doors were closed. One woman tried calling on her phone and no one answered. So we all left after a few minutes. I usually see this place setting up just before noon so that was a bit strange. I happened to walk by in the evening and it was still closed. If for some reason it has closed for the season, that should be reflected here. I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant since I moved to Nice and will gladly update my stars when I am able to enjoy the restaurant.

We ate here two different nights while we stayed in Nice. Both times were amazing! We had different dishes each time and each time the food was delicious. The hummus was beyond any other hummus I've had. The house wine was yummy. Atmosphere and staff were fantastic.

Asked for Vegan and they changed the vegetarian plate to accommodate. Then we also got a amazing salad that included pomegranate and spicy walnut dip. Outstanding food and fantastic service.

Best Middle Eastern meal I’ve ever had. Food was delicious. Highly recommend the chicken shawarma! And those falafels… amazing! Lebanese beer was good but v expensive at €6 for a small bottle of beer.

Popular Greek restaurant in Nice, near avenue Jean-Médecin. Good value for money, especially for lunch. They offer sets between 12.5 and 16.5 Euro+drink.

The nicest food I’ve ever had. Also very kind waiters particularly Ayoub. Thanks for a good meal.

Very Horrible service. I wanted to try it out with my wife. The waiter however was busy with some of his "friends" on another table. Although we have called upon him many times. He kept ignoring us until we were fed up and left. It is sad to see a well rated restaurant ruined by unprofessional staff. We were given the menu and we have already chosen from it but it seems that they only care about having clients seated instead of served. Therefore I would not recommend if you are looking for a restaurant with a good service. As for the food we didn't get a chance to order. As for the restaurant , please increase your staff to cater for all and teach them not to discriminate between clients.

Location is nice and central, serving was a bit slow, good mediocre (BBQ was not top notch) could be much better. The staff were doing their best. But took us 1 hour for main course to be served.

I'm from Ottawa the shawarma capital of the world, but I don't know if I'll ever be able to go back because this was hands down the best mixed platter I've ever tasted. Fresh ingredients, and well cooked, this is the real Mediterranean deal

Extremely good food. We ordered 6 mezzes and each one of them was lovely. Authentic Lebanese dishes that tasted lovely. Friendly staff, nice and attentive (also in English).

Le Socrate has very tasty food and good portions, so you will not leave hungry. The waiter was also very friendly. I would highly recommend to visit le Socrate if you are in Nice and crave some libanese food

Everyone was really friendly, the waiter took the time to explain the libanese dishes to us. The food was delivered quickly and was very delicious.

Visiting from the US and stumbled upon this place, as it was the only one open late on a Monday night. Food was really good and the service was very friendly.

This place was ok. Almost all the food was pretty oily. The plate I ordered was supposed to have a kind of cheese item on it, but they didn't include that. Some of the items were decent, but given the number of stars this place had, I was disappointed.

We went to this restaurant as it was open till late. After reading a few reviews in Google we were slightly concerned as many people said that the waiters are rude there. Upon arriving at the place we were greeted ever so kindly by Mr. Aeoub. He was such a nice guy and he took exceptional care of us. He made our last meal in Nice an epic one. We ordered the lamb platter and the butchers platter. The food was excellent. It was a nice change to eat lebanese after a long time. I definitely recommend this place and if you go there ask for Mr. Aeoub, he will make your entire experience an epic one.

food was godly. absolutely heaven sent. hummus was divine. lamb skewers were 10/10. chips were very impressive for a lebanese restaurant. good vibes. food was very quick and there was a good selection on the menu. would recommend. only downside was that the server was a little miserable. however, other servers were absolutely joyful :)
