Horrible place and the staff is very rude. We have waited for more than 1 hour and the staff did not make our order even if we called them. It ruined our day and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Don't go there.

Don Carlo is a pizzeria near avenue Jean-Médecin. They offer a lunch formula daily included on Saturday. The place is quite busy but you can also seat on the terasse. You can have a meal with drink and cafe for 16 Euro and the same plus desert for 20 Euro. The food is quite tasty and the price reasonable. Today they had "banquette de veau" which is a veal goulash and "une bavette" which is a beef flap steak.

The servers there were really nice and smiling all the time. It definitely set the ambiance. We were only 5, but they sat us at a big table anyway. I saw them later on moving tables outside to please some other customers. Great place. 👍

Our first dinner out in Nice was here based on the amazing reviews on this page. From the start to the end it was awful!! Our table was booked for 6:30 however when we go there we were told they only open at 7. Had a drink next door whilst we waited. Were told same company and we can settle our bill a the end. Moved to our table and then was asked to pay the bill. We ordered antipasti to start. Which was tasty but was served with butter and no bread or pickles . When we asked the waitress she said she was new and had forgotten. Fine not a problem. Waited for a further half an hour for our steaks and pizza. Steaks arrived with out the sauce. Kids pizzas had been forgotten and arrived 20 minutes after our food which was now stone cold and then the sauce arrived. Plain pizza arrived with mushrooms on so can only assume that was someone else’s. Spoke with the server who apologised and seemed to blame the delay on no manager and the pizza guy. Absolutely unacceptable service. If they had just said the pizzas will be delayed as we forgot and there’s now other pizzas in there but no response.

Best thing about the place is outdoor ambience. If those limited seats arw gone, then inside is not nearly as nice. Food quality and taste rate only a 2 or 3. Service rates a 1 or 2. And they ran out of beer.

Our first meal in Nice after long day. Ok place. Home made pizza are fine but lacking tomato flavour in my view. Waiters are again OK but not very attentive. A casual place but that looks popular. They even asked for a tip afterwards when we did not leave one

Terrible service, the waiters and waitress act so disinterested. I had to get a knife and fork myself from a different table as they didn't even bother to check or notice our table was missing a set. Had to wait a long time to order while the waiter was just chatting casually inside. Asked for a glass of ice cold French beer, get given a non ice cold bottle of disgusting Heineken. Food was good which is the only reason they get 3 stars

“Good Value” Nice meals - well presented and nicely cooked. Good choice of home made products on the menu. We ate in the the terrace area with additional heating (well it is January) and thoroughly enjoyed the meal from start to finish

I thought it was fitting that our last meal in France before heading to Italy was at an Italian restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly despite a language barrier. The food was great, some of the best I had in France (and Italy).

Tasty lasagna. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices according to the Nice standard.

Conveniently located pizza joint, with good enough food to justify a nice lunch. Service is very erratic and slow (even by French standards); it took me 21 minutes just to have a drink at late lunchtime. Otherwise, a good choice for a quick bite.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff and pizza tastes really good (but they somehow put the cheese over almost everything instead of the other way around), prices are ok (could be cheaper in my opinion) My friend ordered pasta, and you really get a lot for what you pay :)

Me and my boyfriend waited 20 minutes for the waiter to ask us, what we wanted to order. We than had to wait 20 minutes for our bottle of water. After waiting 45 minutes for our food, we left. While we waited other people got their food, even though they came after us.

Good food, nice place! We went there for dinner and had pasta cooked in a cheese wheel which was truly delicious! The wheel is brought out and the dish prepared in front of the guests. Before being served, the pasta is flambéed with Grappa which adds a nice smoky taste to it. Add a bottle of Valpolicella and dessert (the red berry Pannacotta is just wow) and you will not be disappointed!

Very good pizza, service extremely fast. I liked the wood-fired taste in the dough. Wouldn’t say it is amazing especially since this part of France has a lot of good pizza places. But it was quite satisfying and a good price.

We wanted to eat pasta. When we got seated, we had to water 20 minutes till the waiter asked us, what we wanted to order. We had to wait 20 minutes for the water bottle we ordered. After 40 minutes of waiting for our food, we left and went to a different restaurant.

This restaurant is amazing. Great prices. Amazing food. Beautiful location right next to the main shopping street in Nice. I visited this restaurant with my family and the young male waiter and all the staff were so accommodating and nice to myself and my family. Even after one in our party had issues with their food (allergies they forgot to ask the waiter about, totally our own fault.) the staff replaced the meal for free no questions asked. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Nice and wanting an excellent meal with their family. This is my first review ever which should go to show how amazing this restaurant is.
