I have never been to any Michelin Recommended restaurant with this horrible service!!! The only waiter in the restaurant showed us our table when my husband, my son and I arrived. This short skinny guy with a white beard is super unfriendly!! No smile from the moment we entered until we left!! Since my boy wasn’t hungry, we only ordered 2 set dinners and shared a bit of food for him. May be he’s unhappy about this!! Before the appetiser arrived, my boy accidentally spilled my wine. He saw it but didn’t offer to help at all!! I was the one who used our napkins to cover up the wet table!! When I asked for an extra plate and setting for my boy, he’s so mad that he kept speaking in French!! I could tell he’s swearing at me!! My boy has been very quiet and not the type who would give him trouble. I have no clue what we have done wrong the minute we arrived!! Such an unpleasant dinner experience!!! We were the only guests in the restaurant and there’s no other guests until we left! But this waiter kept going outside of the restaurant. Very disturbing indeed!! The food is good. What a pity!!

We had dinner on a Wednesday night, just based on my gut feeling. This is the brasserie of the restaurant beside. They share the same kitchen, but the prices are lower. It's expensive for a brasserie, you're going to spend from 30 to 60 euro each based on what you order. The service was definitely not bad, the waiter was Italian and he was very kind and quick. For us ordering in Italian was definitely a plus. I found the food good, gourmet style, I was not stunned but it was not bad at all. Great dessert, their crème brulee was incredible. Great selection of dishes and wines.

Some staff can't speak fluent English, which was a let-down. That's why it's worth only 4 Star. Finally got a Waitress to help out in ordering. Food is great, get what you paid for

We started the evening by going to the Le Bistrot des Viviers. We have never experienced such poor service in our lives. Pathetic and insulting are words that spring to mind. We arrived and waitress asked if we had a reservation. When we said no that we didn’t have a reservation she made a big dramatic production of finding us a table despite the fact that several tables were available. After about ten minutes without any service we hailed her over and she ensured us that it would be just another minute before she got to us. After that she attended to two other tables, greeted several people at the door and talked to the chief. The final straw came when a couple were ushered into the restaurant and served immediately. We left right after that insult and the chief was at the door and I’m sure from my look of disgust and under the breath curse that he understood that they had screwed up. So if you want to be treated with the respect you deserve avoid this arrogant, over rated piece of crap until they train their staff properly.

This is a very solid place for French cuisine and seafood. They have the options of prixe fixe or a la carte. If you’re there for seafood, then a la carte would be the way to go since fish is their central focus (over 10 fish types on my visit). I highly recommend that you make a reservation since this place is almost always full. We were lucky that on a rainy April night, to have walked in and were seated. The starters are creative and have a variety of healthy and glutinous. We opted for an artichoke salad which was delicious, especially the lemon vinaigrette that was mixed in. The servers here are talented in cleaning your whole fish for you - a sight to see them in action. The grilled sea bream was expertly grilled and complimented by a side of vegetables. The dessert menu has the fixtures including a variety of soufflé. We opted for a chocolate cake with raspberry gelato which was delicious.

This should have five stars as the cooking is well worth the trip. However, what other google reviews say about the variable quality of service is unfortunately true, with at least one of the staff being both unfriendly and poor at her job. So although the cooking is much better than the majority of Nice establishments, sadly the standard of service can be surprisingly poor. A little attention from the management could correct this, and then it really would be a special place to visit.

Great service and delicious food. We had a lot of course prefix and all the dishes were superb. Presentation of each course was simply amazing. Very nice experience. Will definitely be back again.

Food was average in taste and was obviously pre cooked. The price was too high for the quality of the food. The service however was good and the seating was very good.

Honestly wonderful! The staff were so good! I was advised to get the soufflé and it was the tastiest desert l have ever had, the wine list was amazing too. The inside of the restaurant is a little dated but ignore that the food and service more than makes up for it, go you will not be disappointed!

It took more than thirty minutes for the waitress to serve a dessert after I finished my main dish. So I thought that they forgot my order for the dessert and asked a check to pay the bill. However, they gave me a check including the order for the dessert and explained that they were preparing for the dessert at that moment. But it took another 10+minutes for them to finally serve the dessert to me. So exhausted to have a dinner there.

Good restaurant. Food and dishes are fresh. Strong selection of wine from France. It's recomended to reserve the table for lunch or dinner.

Lovely décor/atmosphere and food. Service so poor that we'll never go back: - ordered table for 1330, the three of us stood waiting 20 minutes by a crowded door for a table to become free. We were repeatedly told "in 5 minutes"... - ordered mashed potatoes to go with the fish for our 9 year old daughter. Reminded the waiters twice about the potatoes in the course of the meal. Never got them, only a "sorry" at the end of the meal. - ordered coffee for my wife, had to remind the waiter of this too and eventually got it when they were starting to close the restaurant.
