We had a good time here; we went for lunch on the day we arrived to Nice. It was a last minute decision. We noticed a lot of places were closing and this place had an enticing menu. We grabbed a seat outside and our server was friendly. He helped us practice our French 🙂 They were out of the ossobuco so we went with the milanesa. It was delicious. I'd return!

Incredibly disappointed with our experience. We ordered two starters and four mains between four of us. Our mains (but only three of them) arrived before the starters. While the fourth main never arrived. We asked the waiter not to bring it after we had been waiting approximately 20 minutes since the first plate was served. When a member of our party went to pay, they expressed our disappointment with the service and suggested that a starter should be ommited from the bill. The man who had served us (who claimed to be the manager) became aggressive and started shouting. I completely understand that issues happen in the kitchen which impact service but to speak to us like this, when we were being reasonable, was completely unacceptable. Furthermore, the manager was also being extremely rude with another employee, who we had also been dealing with. There is no reason to treat and speak to people like this and this really left a bitter taste in our mouth. Also, I left feeling really bad for the other staff in that restaurant. If a manager is going to speak to employees like this when customers are around, I can only imagine how he speaks to staff when there are no customers around. There are many great options for food in Nice, I would highly recommend to avoid here.

Worst Experience ever!!! We payed "14€"for a Pizza that was tiny like a Tortilla and it costs us 30€ the Pizza and not 14€!!! Then we payed the Spaghetti Sauce and the Spgahettis extra?!??!?!? What Restaurant in this World does this? And who makes Pizza like Tortillas?!??! So Stupid Experience!!!

I learned the hard way that in order to have dinner at one of the higher rated restaurants, you really have to make a reservation. Most establishments of good repute start service at 7p and there are often folks with reservations already lining up. I ended up eating at this place because it was one of the few that still had open tables and didn’t get bad reviews. Staff very friendly but food was just OK. Pasta a little on the soft side and salad was decent. Both indoor and outdoor dining available and menus on chalk boards displayed around the dining area.

The hosts were hard working people, running from table to table. Being helpful and kind. We wanted to sit outside but there was no place luckily they still had upstairs some place on the inside. After some time the host came to us to tell he had now place outside so we moved outside. The menu was not too clear and a bit difficult to understand. We ordered 2 bottles of white wine, afterwards the price was kind of a surprise for us(bit more then expected, but was not written on the menu). The food on the other hand was really tastefully, unfortunately they didn’t had the pasta that I ordered but they came to us and suggested something else. In the end the wifi was not working so the cash system failed and the waiter had to calculate the bill by head, but he did it correct!

Highly recommended. Awesome food, big portions, awesome desserts, good prices, and service is very friendly! One of the best in old Nice!

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! The meal was beyond incredible. The staff was friendly! It was so good we went back twice! GO HERE!!!! You will not regret it and you will dream of your meal forever!

One of the best carbonaras i’ve ever had! Just perfect. If i could go back every day for this dish, I would. Just wish the serving was a tiny bit bigger, so get an entree with the pasta dishes if you’re hungry.

I accidentally found this place while looking for a place to eat in the old town. The staff, Jean was such a character. He was so attentive. He gave a good recommendation for the wine. His mum and he made sure that we were having a good time. The mushroom risotto I ordered was great. It went well with the wine he suggested. I loved this place. I will make sure my friends know about this restaurant.

Such an amazing experience! The food was absolutely fantastic - loved the focaccia bread and pasta. Good vegetarian options too. The owner and her son were so friendly. 10/10 recommend for good drinks, great vibes and amazing food!

Be careful if you are there alone and not speaking their language. The waitress does not speak English. - food is very slow. They kept me waiting for more than 45mins to get my food. I was the first one in the restaurant. - i paid with my debit card. They deducted me twice and said it’s not working. my application shows the money is already deducted. They kept asking me cash i said i dont have. At the end i had to pay them in credit card. I have no choice they kept shouting me. - they threw my shopping bag which contains my ceramic vase on the floor. So rude. Be careful. -

Very kind staff. When the sun was still too hot he asked if I wanted to move to the shadow. I go at nice cool table oppisite on the street. Pizza was very good with thin base. Well done!

Tourist food... but ok, i expected that. But please give clients what you say you sell. The saltimboca and escalope are 100% sure chicken and NOT veal. Honesty please?

The daily menu with a starter, a main dish and dessert is an amazing experience for an extremely fair price. Also it is in ome of the smaller streets which makes it less corwded. Would definitely recommend!!!

Had the set menu, very large starter of warm goats cheese, lovely osso bucco for mains and a fluffy chocolate mousse to finish. Plus, reading material is available while you wait for the loo!

Very crowded place in the evenings, it take some time to have your order taken. But the waitresses are very nice and helpful. They gave us wine on the house because of the lateness in serving. The food was very nice, we tried the magret canard, the meli Melo salad and tagliatelle with choriso and tomatoes.

I'm italian but i'll write in english to advice all tourists to stay away from this place. We went with my girlfriend, the server was very unpleasant to say the least; the tables were strangely sticky, my napkin wouldn't break away from it. We both got an entrecote, which i'm pretty sure it wasn't, probably some beef from the supermarket, and also greatly overpriced. We payed for this awful experience and the waiter didn't even thank us for coming in this tourist trap. I strongly advise to NOT COME in this restaurant.

We had an excellent lunch here during our stay in Nice. I had the plat du jour, my mom took the duck. Really tasty, easy, would come back anytime.

FANTASTIC... Food quality is so good. Personel is super fast and friendly.

When i asked for the plat du jour (proposed to me few min ago), the waiter turned round,asked another table if they wanted some too, they said they needed 4 so waiter turn back to me and said sorry We're running out....so I left and.i'll never go back in a place where they make you feel like a mug.

I went to Pasta Basta twice during my week holiday in Nice and both meals were really delicious. The waiters and waitresses were lovely and it was a great experience overall! Would certainly recommend.

this place had the most mushy gnocchi i have ever eaten. when the servers saw that we weren't eating, they gave us sassy looks and the woman raised her voice. a waste of time and money. do not come here
