What a fantastic venue. We had drinks before the meal in the Le Negresco bar, a beautifully relaxing environment, although €50 for two glasses of wine. Expensive, but for the experience, well worth it. We then went to the La Rotonde restaurant in the same hotel, lovely smart casual environment, with a hint of sophistication. Had the buffalo cheese and wife had asparagus to start, very good, then the steak, fabulous. Beautifully cooked and presented. The wine was excellent. This was a great restaurant and would love to go again in the future.

Wonderful food and exceptional service- Mr. Michael was kind and made our experience even better with his jokes and stories about both the food and the hotel. If your dining outside, make sure you check out the beautiful interior too!

This was a good restaurant! Given the price, I wish the service and food were a bit better though. I would maybe go again for an appetizer or light bites!

The service was so horrible and the food was actually bad. It was our last night in France and this place ruined the entire experience. We got there at 8, they took our order at 8:05, it took until 8:50 to get our appetizers. My dish came out and it was fish+raspberries. 3 people tasted it and thought it was disgusting. My main was a fish (pretty good), which came out 15 mins later than my husband’s main dish (lobster pasta that was over cooked). So we basically ate separately. At this point around 9:15 we were really fed up so we asked to speak with the main waiter, and asked for the dessert and check. This didn’t happen, so we had to ask multiple times again. At 10, my dessert came out. It looked nice but was meh, so I couldn’t even finish it. Waited another 15 mins for the check to come, after asking multiple times again. The restaurant wasn’t even busy so I’m just confused what happened the entire time. I think after the initial complaint about how long we had to wait for the food, the service just got even worse (it was almost comical). For a restaurant inside a 5 star hotel, this was just not okay. What a waste of 340 euros.

Excellent service, polite and helpful staff. The food is an absolute delight. Beautiful place. A place to go in Nice to have a wonderful time. We returned yesterday 15/05/2022, it was amazing. It gets better and better. Excellent service, delicious food. Congratulation to the Chef and the staff. We returned to this restaurant in 2023 July. Unfortunately it was a little bit disappointing. The warm atmosphere is diminished and the new staff was not really trained to serve as it should have like before. Food was ok. I hope for improvement

had lunch with family and it was an amazing experience. excellent service and polite staff. jimmy was our main server and he was very accommodating - explaining the dishes thoroughly and being chatty friendly. food was great as well, definitely we'll be back here.

Amazing experience at La Rotonde. The restaurant is inside an iconic hotel in Nice, this is without any doubt a must visit place. The food was delicious and the attention from entering the hotel to the restaurant was impeccable and friendly. Thank you for taking care of us, I will definitely come back in the future.

Extraordinary dinner even as a solo traveler. Perfect food, wine, service and environment.

Our visit was last Friday and we had a great time. First of all the place is magical, like you’re having dinner up to the starts. Food was extraordinary, the flavours and textures brought us to a unique experience. Our waiter was Louis and he did a great job! The other Italian staff was very friendly as well.

First good stop in Nice and this one does not disappoint! Right on Promenade des Anglais, this restaurant offers a good location, great food, and a nice atmosphere. We sat outside but there was someone playing the piano inside and you could make song requests.

Very disappointing experience. We had a reservation at 21:15. Asked in the hotel lobby where can we find the restaurant. They showed us the way which turned out to be a closed door to the restaurant. We got seated and waited 15 minutes before we got a drinks menu. Waited another 5 minutes to get the food menu. We ordered two cocktails, they were very good, and a bottle of rose. We were delighted after 20 minutes to receive some water, which turned out to be crazily overpriced. Good thing is that they have a big menu compared to other restaurants. We ordered escargots, foie gras, poultry, lamb, soft peach biscuit and the coconut panna cotta. + we got gazpacho in the beginning as an amuse-bouche, which was quite good, probably the highlight of the meal. Appetizers: Duck foie gras was delicious, escargots tasteless, the bread with the escargots were good. Main course: Poultry arrived cold, without any flavor. Lamb was average. Desserts: Not much taste, not worth ordering. Waiters are professional, and very polite, however we don’t appreciate the 20 minute wait for a menu, and we felt like they forgot about us. We won’t go back and won’t recommend the restaurant either.

It’s been awhile since we visited this restaurant but I still remember how great the atmosphere and the service were! This is very good option for fine dining in Nice. I would suggest making a reservation early enough though.

Gorgeous food with delightful and fun interior, and some fantastic cocktails and service to match, alongside beautiful piano 🎹 music 🎼 we had a really enjoyed luncheon and recommend the experience when in Nice 😍 a nice touch was the complimentary asparagus mousse and to finish the delicious chocolates 🥰

We went there for dinner. They serve excellent wine. The food looks good on the plate but for our taste it was kind of stale. There is not much on the plate but enough as it does not kindle your hunger. The staff is super nice and they seem to be professional part time photographer :) The bill was just fine. The music is nice the ambiance good. 4 stars out of 5

The food was great. The only disappointment is that the team brought a dessert with a birthday candle in it as a gift but then charged 16 euros for that :) We didn’t order these macaroons, as we had two menus ordered, which already included desserts. So that was something like a gift but for which you need to pay. Weird!

And just like the first, second and voila my 3rd time (plus with my family) this time around on my birthday.. Exquisite food, an absolute perfect selections of desserts , and a soothing piano played by a local artist. Staffs are attentive, positive energy and really meets certain expectations. HAYAT, were absolutely amazing and the rest of her colleagues. I can’t wait to dine here again ,probably very soon.

Sorry in advance for the bad pictures... We went in not really knowing what to have but felt that we at least needed to visit a restaurant of this standard as they are trying to get up to "that standard" and we find it fun to test those out.. The hotel were so amazingly beautiful and the restaurant were just as great with the christmas ornaments. We were guided through the hotel before going to the dining area as one of the first guests for our seating. Service were excelent and our waitor (Dario) explained the menue and were great as giving us tips. We places special orders for drinks and let me tell you that they did a better Dry Martini than in central London.... #shame on London.... it's a sad but great thing (If you're in Nice). We took a tasting menue with an extra plate of escargot as a starter. Catch of the day were swoardfish and both me and my GF were blown away from the dish.. best fish-carpaccio we ever had. The wine were superb together with the plates and the server even told us that with one of our plates we didn't need to get the other wine on the menue (that were priced higher) because the one we had with the one before were great with the next dish as well so we could just get another glass instead. When the restaurant went busy and all of the tables were taken we just started talking about how the service were getting slower and our glasses were getting low we were interupted by the server comming up telling us that the kitchen were running a little behind but they gave us a refill of our glasses on the house. 1-2 minutes later the food came out and all went well... they were on point and didn't need to do that for us. We have a favorite restaurant in our hometown in Sweden that we feel have the same service.. it doesn't feel like a up-tight restaurant but omg the service and food is great. What buzz my mind is that the price were much lower when the tab came. (Don't get me wrong.. it's high end, but what you get for your money is way more than your coin). Please... I hope that they get their star so that we can get a table again and say that we tried it before and after -because they deserve it. We have been at places with stars and they have not been as good as the food we had here. Only complaint is a personal one because I didn't like the texture of the spunge-cake (I'd like it a little more solid) but It's like saying that a perfect mid-rare steak isn't good because you like it mid-done... I won't remove anything from the score because all the sides to it were great and worked. I would say sorry to Dario for taking this long for writing a post.

A fence dining experience for celebrating a special evening!!

All around great experience. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend for a relatively low-key dinner.

Amazing food and brilliant service. Visited for dinner and we splashed out. Tried the snails for the first time and they were great. Also had the chicken and prawn dishes which were exceptional.

Good, but not so great. Anyways, not a bad place, but still need more improvement over the food dishes. Try a little more, and you'll be very good! Note to myself: need to try the other restaurant in Negresco hotel, Le Chantecler... Maybe there will be a 5 stars review.

Every year we come to this restaurant , but yesterday I was really disappointed about service. I call on réception 3 times, they said me we don’t have any place. Than anyway I decided to come and try to have dinner , one woman on reception said me that it’s fully booked, but I saw many tables inside and outside, I started to ask again and her collègue finely found a table for us. They gave us a table close to the exit witch was not really nice. Je n’ai vraiment pas aimé que le personnel de l’hôtel juge ce que vous portez(moi et mon amie étions très bien habillés et avec des accessoires coûteux The service was not bad. As a result, at the end of dinner there were at least 8 free tables on the terrace, and at least 10 inside, although the hotel staff assured that there was not a single free table. At the end of dinner, I decided to speak out about this at the reception, they assured me that everything was really reserved. In general, the impression was spoiled.
