Great mussels! The restaurant is in a good location on the boardwalk not too far from the old town. Highly recommend the chilli option as the broth was delicious. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant also takes reservations so it is recommended to call ahead.

We were in Nice in 2018 for our 30 year anniversary, it was cool October evening, went to Le Rochester for dinner and owners made us feel welcome, the food was great and we can't wait to get back one day. Thank you for the wonderful time...and that pepper drink, great stuff.

The mussels were super fresh and the fries were really good. They do it with a large selection of sauces. Did not take a picture of the Octopus salad. It was good. The dessert Pain Perdue was a cross between French toast and Bread and Butter Pudding. It was most interesting served with a generous lashing of cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Ordered takeaway from here and wasn’t too impressed with the waiter. When we told him we wanted takeaway he greeted us with a frown and told us we would have to wait until everyone else in the restaurant had been served. We ordered anyway since the reviews were good. It only took 10-15 minutes to receive our order however they mixed it up with and gave us the wrong mussels. The takeaway bag was also dripping with steaming hot broth which made it hard to carry. The rude waiter acknowledged this but didn’t do anything about it, and was frustrated when we asked for a few napkins. Thankfully the food was good and the other wait staff we spoke to briefly were friendly so not all bad but wouldn’t recommend takeaway - it didn’t come like the takeaway we saw in the photos that make us decide to come here in the first place!

The best moules i have ever had. The bisque is superb, the moules are nicely done. We had them with fries and salad, the salad was boring, not seasoned, fries are basic, but in this case it does not matter. You have a nice view of port and can enjoy a nice atmosphere when eating there. Recommend to visit!

I don't write reviews, but for this restaurant I will have to, otherwise I am a serious gourmet and I like to eat a lot and I have eaten all over the world, as far as restaurants are concerned, the crowd is big and it is worth waiting every minute and you shouldn't be angry with the staff (if the dish is a little late) who are very kind because the food is the perfection of taste, the mussels are prepared superbly, all the praises for the chef, we celebrated my wife's birthday, the staff came with a dessert and a candle and they sang her a birthday song, everything all in all, a beautiful restaurant with excellent food, you shouldn't miss it at all, every recommendation, see you next time when we come to Nice for sure!!

I made a reservation at this place after reading favorable reviews. I honestly regret coming here on my short trip to Nice. While the mussels were tasty and fresh, the sauce was bland and undercooked and the fries were greasy and frozen. The service was nothing to write home about either. Overall it was not worth the time or money to eat here in a large city with a lot of options. Next time I'll find another spot for mussels.

The food was excellent, I understand why it's a speciality! I got the salted lemon moules-frites, and it was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The only downside was that it took a while to receive a menu and the food after being seated (~35-40 min). However, I did come at a rather busy time. there were only 2 people taking orders & serving, so I understand the slower service. Otherwise, I had a great experience and would love to visit again in the future 😊

Mussels (natural, white wine and cream) and carbonara very very good! Fries also delicious. Only negative was they didn’t have any bread left which we enjoy using to dip into the tasty sauce (and reason for 4 stars instead of 5).

I dislike being so critical, especially when on vacation in what otherwise has been excellent so far but feel strongly enough to post. Perhaps it was an off-day or the photographer / social influencer who was primarily being catered to but our experience was less than ideal. After having been seated and given our initial order, we were not asked again if we wanted more drinks, refreshments, desert, or anything else. The crepes my wife ordered were (partially) burnt, and the salmon I received was discolored (the brownish color may be natural but I can't remember ever receiving salmon this color before at a restaurant). Remember the photographer (or influencer) I mentioned before? We watched as food from other customers was first brought to this person for his pictures BEFORE moving on to the customers who ordered it. I don't think the other tables were aware, but given I was facing this person, I saw it at least twice happen. Flies. There were just too many of them that one of the staff used some sort of fogger(!) outside which did nothing of course, we were outside. Why they used this to try to control the flies among the seated customers is concerning in itself.

Really recommended this restaurant for mussle lover. All dishes are very fresh and yummy, especially the Nice recipe. Staffs are so nice and friendly.

This was the best mussels we have ever had! Really! Huge portion, amazing taste especially Mussels with escargot butter and cream. We were absolutely satisfied and will be coming back for dinner!

To be honest we were looking long for some good french cuisine in Nice and finally found it here! It's like you visit your french aunt at home and she takes the time to cook something good for you. I highly recommend the moussles with snail butter!

We went here for a late lunch and lucky to get a table without reservation. Best place to eat moules frites! Food and service were great, though it gets very busy. The prices are absolutely reasonable, especially for Nice. All around a great experience and we would come here again!

You can choose mussels with different flavors here - curry mussels for example. I went for traditional ones on wine sauce and they were really good. Scandinavian pasta was huge and delicious as well. Restaurant is nicely located next to the port, so you can observe a beautiful view on it.

The signature dish was good. Moules Frites. However the Ailes Poulet Frites were bland.

It is with the utmost reluctance that I recommend this place. The reason is that I wish for this place to stay a secret tip and stay less crowded. The mussels are spectacular, the location proves prices to be scandalously low and the female waitress is a pure joy. Highly recommended! (Just don't come there so it doesn't get more crowded)

Fantastic place. The staff was very friendly. We ordered mussels and spaghetti and both dishes were just incredible. In the middle of the meal both waitress and the chef came to us to ask about the food. This is definitely a place worth visiting. Highly recommend.

One of our best experiences in Nice! Moules were so tasty and perfectly done, frites also very good.. the chef was so kind to passing by us and asking for our feedback.. Restaurant's location near the port is very relaxing, away from the noise of the old town and bars..

Sublime restaurant. I like to eat fresh, quality products. All the staff are friendly, the first class waiters, the impeccable service and the kitchen ++++++😍😍😍😍😍 It was a new place that I just discovered and it makes me want to try all the flavors on the menu.
