We visited the place for a brunch on a Saturday midday during April. The place it self is cozy and nicely decorated, feeling warm from the first glance. All the personal is very friendly and fluent English speakers. We ordered coffees, their brunch option, an Avocado toast and a salmon option. The service is quite good and fast, the fresh orange juice was not freshly squeezed and it was tiny, espressos were ok, not something of a great ceed (don’t expect great espresso around the center), the bread used for the toasts and the rest plates was a bit dry and in general the taste of the dishes was average. The overall experience was nice though and so we went again for take away coffee and croissants the next day which were nice. Don’t expect WiFi either here.

I am really surprised that many of the reviews of this place mention the great coffee - as it honestly didn’t taste like anything special at all. The food was good however, it was also just very standard cafe food prepared on the back counter. It felt very over-priced for what it was, so all in all I think there are better options in the area

The service is great! Unfortunately, banana bread tasted like a sweet chocolate wet cake. It was too hard to find a good coffee place in Nice. However, in comparison with other places here is quite normal;)

Amazing brunch cafe in Nice! Super great location to enjoy a brunch or coffee as it is located on the central busy street right beside the Nice Cathedrale~ We tried their brunch which is served with creamy granola and yogurt, their specialty avocado toast + fruity peanut butter toasts. The avocado toast was my personal favourite! It had a touch of paprika spice with the avocado slices and spread. Their portions are super big and generous, so 1 order of brunch set is definitely perfect for sharing between 2 people. What I love about this cozy cafe is that you can really taste the freshness in the ingredients they use. Everything made in the house using the fresh ingredients and seasonal fruits, the daily squeezed juice, everything was perfect! As well, I love their matcha latte that’s not too sweet with a slight hint of ginger as well! Their staff are super friendly and helpful as they speak English and French. They have a cozy terrace and even vintage themed exterior seats available as well. Definitely recommend to come early if you visit on the weekends, and check their brunch when you visit Nice!

This clearly California-inspired little cafe is quaint and sits at the heart of old town Nice. This is a great setting to watch all sorts of people walk by. I had The avocado toast, which was very good— the avocado was perfectly ripe and bread, excellent. The one (critical) thing I didn’t like was the espresso! To be honest, the espresso reminded me of a grandmother’s instant coffee from the 90s. No crema. No body. Not much great coffee flavor. It fell flat, which is surprising considering it is a core product. HOBO needs to adjust the dials on their machine… finer ground, firmer tamp… something… or maybe it’s just time for a new machine. Should be an easy fix with a little effort… I hope they do… would be great if they did.

Situated right next to the cathedral this is a charming place to sit and enjoy some good food and good coffee. You may have to wait a bit depending on the situation inside but the quality is worth the wait. Staff was polite and prompt. Definitely recommend

Urban set up with funky vibes. They have a modern take on the menu and it's not your traditional French menu. The coffee options are great and on a hot day the iced coffee was just perfect. Nice strong coffee in milk but on ice. Perfect 😃

Not real fresh orange juice. I came to this place yesterday morning, and the “fresh orange juice” (5 EUR) tasted like supermarket one. I know exactly how it should taste, and it was not real fresh orange juice at all. There was even not pulp in the glass. The orange slice (see picture) was then only there to mislead, to make people think it was fresh orange juice. The barman pretended the pulp was removed because people don’t like it. Come on… I asked for a discount for the orange juice, but they refused. In the end, we paid 38 EUR for what you see in the picture. Scandalous is the right word.

We had a lovely time here. $6 iced latte with oat milk, a $5 mocha iced coffee. $15 burrata salad with pesto & bread. We sat outside (inside had a few tables but was quite warm). Sadly our meal was almost ruined by the terrible couple behind us - seriously, you need to break up. You both look and sound miserable, and the girl was nearly screaming. So bizarre that someone would not be more self aware in a public setting. Anyways, we had a great time :)

Good quality food, decent prices. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The place is in a very nice, chilled location. You can take a rest from a sun in a shadow, yet, it’s really close to everything in the old town. Recommended to take a short coffee break or eat brunch/lunch. They are not charging for water!! Very unique situation in Nice.

Really nice space, friendly staff, okay coffee, great orange juice. If you're expecting a runny yoke on top of your avocado toast, don't. The majority of dishes are cold and most elements have been prepared earlier. Still, a really tasty breakfast though.

Great place to have a breakfast/ brunch and every other meal or drinks. Got the big plate with mimosa and a panini. The big plate is really for two people. The location is kind of nice, outdoor and indoor seating. They smoke cigarettes (which I am not a fan) The service and their treatment were amazing!!!

The food is undeniably good. Coffee (cortado) is decent and up to the mark in the terms of execution. The burrata tomato salad and avo toast was delicious. However the front of house, particularly the obnoxious host, needs to learn a bit of empathetic customer service rather than being obnoxious. His queueing management is abrupt and nonsensical. You never bark orders at customers. Smile and be patient. Or quit if hospitality is not your thing. Do not let the popularity of this place make staff arrogant, to the point of the cliche French waitering buffoon. Did I mention the food is good? 🤣 Almost worth to suffer the pompous attitude.

If you like such breakfast, then it’s your place. I prefer more eggs and break rather than that much meat and cheese. Everything was delicious thou. Didn’t like the service. They’re very good but too many customers and can’t handle everything. Nobody really cares.

Best Cappucinos, Cocktails and brunch staff (especially the rustic sandwich). We enjoyed all our 3 Days here every morning

A lovely cafe, very chill. We ordered this brunch set and coffee, it’s enough for two people. I really liked the selection of cheese.

We had a wonderful breakfast here. The service was tops the food and coffee great. You are spoilt for choice in Nice when it comes to breakfast and coffee, but this place just does it a little differently. Highly recommend you visit Hobo next time and see for yourself.

It is a visually very beautiful café. The staff were super friendly and you sit very nicely in the middle of the old town of Nice. Unfortunately, the dishes didn't include a quantity, so you could easily share a "brunch dish". Under the avocado toast with the sliced avocado was another guacamole, which tasted very strongly of onions - not pleasant for breakfast. The quality of the food was okay, not very complex and high quality flavors. I wouldn't go there again.

Delicious cafe latte/coffee. The best I've had so far in France. Menu includes chai, matcha latte, hot chocolate with choice of milk or various plant milks. Also serves alcohol and light bites such as brunch, granola, avocado toast along with the obligatory pain au chocolat etc.

We found a little caffeine haven tucked in the heart of Nice - Hobo. This bustling café, with its high demand and constant energy, made for an ideal start to our day. My choice for breakfast was a fantastic Avocado and Grated Egg Toast. Served on sourdough bread that had the perfect balance of fluffy interior and a chewy, crunchy crust, it was a simple dish done right. The Croque Monsieur on our table was everything one could hope for, oozing with cheesy goodness. We also ordered the Full Breakfast which was a feast in itself - a generous spread of charcuterie, cheese, avocado toast, fruit, jam, and croissant. It was a meal enough for two, satisfying in every sense. Despite the quick turnover of tables, the service remained efficient and courteous. The coffee was excellent, strong and aromatic, while the fresh juices were equally commendable. If you find yourself in Nice and in need of a quality coffee, Hobo is a spot you shouldn't miss.

I just happened to walk past this place and liked the name and stopped! The avocado toast with grated egg was new to me, but really enjoyed it, esp the rustic bread it was served on. They make a really good dirty chai as well. Highly recommend!

A real gem in Nice. Great coffee, really friendly team and the simple menu is delicious. Croissants etc. baked on site & to die for (delicate, buttery, everything a croissant should be.). Perfect throughout the day. There is also Hobo Juicy which does takeaway.

It is a place that I would want to go chill in the afternoon everyday, have a coffee, read a book. Friendly staffs, nice drinks, good price, lovely environment. There is also a HOBO juice across the street that I would like to try next time. The croissant was not exactly crispy, but I was grateful to be able to find a croissant at 6pm.

A cute little cafe that is filled with people quickly in the morning to get a quality cup of coffee and some breakfast. It is wonderfully located in the center and where you can sit and watch people walking by.

A place to be in Nizza for good coffee. Very well visited. So you have to wait at least 5 minutes outside to get a table. The interior is cozy and very authentic. I really have enjoyed the flat white. The price of approximately 15€ for the avocado toast with egg is overpriced. The seize of the toast is small. The ingredients were fresh.

Very tasty coffee. Note, it is “American style” so the size tends to be larger, the espresso is less bitter, and they have togo containers with lids if required. All servers have impecable English. The brunch is hearty and the portions are pretty large. If you are going for €20 brunch combo, I suggest sharing it.

The avocado toast was a big portion and was warm. The granola bowl had a lot of fruits but it lacked something to make it remarkable, maybe in the summer the fruit selection is better. The overall felling of the place was coy and the waiters were nice and spoke English. The overall price for 2 coffees and 2 plates was 30-40 euros.
