DO
NOT
GET
A
PUPPY
FROM
THEM!!!!!!!!
I
cannot
stress
that
enough!!!
We
received
a
Kind
Charles
Cavalier
from
Pet
Island
on
the
18th
of
June
2020.
We
took
the
puppy
to
our
vet
the
following
morning,
for
what
we
thought
was
a
quick
check-up
and
numerous
problems
where
identified.
Initially
her
doctor
identified
(by
checking
her
teeth)
that
she
was
at
least
two
weeks
younger
than
what
her
passport
indicated.
The
doctor
informed
us
that
in
order
for
a
puppy
to
have
been
allowed
to
travel
–
by
Cyprus
law
–
that
it
should
have
been
at
least
3
months
old.
Her
fake
age
was
also
an
indication
that
we
could
not
rely
on
the
vaccinations
indicated
in
her
passport
either
-
as
they
could
have
also
been
falsified.
The
doctor
also
identified
an
extensive
list
of
health
issues
that
our
puppy
is
currently
suffering
from:
A.
Parasites
A1.
Eye
infection
(Tobraculin
treatment)
A2.
Ticks
(pill)
A3.
Ear
infection
(Epiotic)
B.
Endo
parasites
B1.
Worms
(Panacur
treatment)
B2.
Tape
(Tape
pill)
C.
Protozoa
C1.
Jardia
(had
to
do
an
X-ray,
2
blood
tests
,
1
biochemical
test,
Methonidazole)
D.
Fugi
D1.
Skin
infection
(fungi
culture
-results
on
strain
still
pending)
E.
Genetic
defects
E1.
Overbite
(no
treatment)
-An
overbite
is
a
genetic,
hereditary
condition
where
a
dog's
lower
jaw
is
significantly
shorter
than
its
upper
jaw.
This
is
going
to
cause
a
permanent
problem
to
our
puppy.
Had
the
breeders
took
the
required
care
to
chose
appropriate
animals
for
mating-
this
would
have
been
prevented.
F.
Hernia
-
requires
surgery
!
As
a
result
our
pappy
has
been
experiencing:
1.
Vomiting
2.
Excessive
Diaria
3.
Blood
in
stool
4.
Excessive
Itching
Our
puppy
is
currently
on
a
specialised
diet
and
numerous
medications!!
I
created
this
extensive
record
in
order
to
give
the
full
picture
of
the
severity
of
our
puppy’s
health
-
as
well
as
the
level
of
stress
that
Pet
Island
has
caused
our
family
for
the
past
month.
We
agreed
on
getting
a
puppy
from
Pet
Island
as
we
love
King
Charles
Spaniels
(we
were
the
happy
owners
of
a
King
Charles
abroad
–
and
have
a
certain
affinity
towards
them)
-
with
the
premise
that
Pet
Island
took
great
care
in
finding
their
dog
breeders
who
loved
their
puppies
and
chose
the
breeding
pairs
carefully.
THIS
IS
NOT
THE
CASE!!!
We
expected
that
our
puppy’s
health
and
well
being
were
a
top
priority
at
all
times.
That
for
us
was
a
non-negotiable.
THIS
UNFORTUNATELY
IS
NOT
THE
CASE!!!
It
is
obvious
that
our
puppy's
health
problems
are
a
clear
indication
of
the
conditions
that
her
mother
is
in
and
that
the
Pet
Island
pet
shop
most
probably
collaborates
with
puppy
mills.
Once
our
initial
shock
was
over
regarding
our
puppy's
health,
we
confronted
Pet
Island
owners–
they
refused
to
acknowledge
the
situation
and
blamed
us
for
not
choosing
the
Vet
they
suggested
here
in
Cyprus
(??).
We
had
consciously
chosen
an
unbiased
doctor
and
they
insisted
that
we
went
to
theirs
-
as
if
that
would
have
changed
the
outcome
of
her
health!!
Once
we
informed
them
that
we
will
highlight
their
negligence
regarding
the
health
of
the
puppies
they
bring
in
Cyprus,
they
responded
that
we
can
get
our
money
back
if
we
agree
to
return
our
puppy
–
at
which
point
we
stopped
communicating
with
them,
as
that
was
out
of
the
question!
…In
the
meantime
we
discovered
more
people
that
also
bought
seriously
ill
puppies
from
Pet
Island
-
If
we
knew
what
we
now
know
-
we
would
have
NEVER
entrusted
them.
This
needs
to
stop!!!!!
