North Gorge Walk is an epic experience. Start at the shops and take the 1.2km walk. Wallabies and Kangaroos highlight your journey, with dolphins and whales just a couple of hundred metres away. You can walk down onto the rocky areas and the view of North Gorge is stunning. Look out for turtles and admire the sunrise if up that early. This walk also takes in Main Beach views

The North Gorge Walk on North Stradbroke Island, Australia, is highly recommended for nature enthusiasts and ones who love picturesque natural scenery. This scenic trail offers stunning ocean views, rare opportunities to spot dolphins, sea turtles, migrating whales depending on each season and high chance to see wild kangaroos filling their stomach with grass. Moreover, the most noticeable is the crashing waves against rocky cliffs which create a mesmerizing spectacle. The walk is accessible to all fitness levels and features informative signage. I arrived on Saturday but it didn't seem not too crowded for me, however, it is recommended that you should visit on weekdays or early mornings to avoid crowds. There is no protection at some points especially the cliffs as well, so be careful. Lastly, North Gorge Walk delivers a captivating coastal adventure that immerses you in the beauty of nature.

Absolutely gorgeous view. I have never seen the water as pretty as I have on straddy. Definitely recommend the walk, lots of steps but such great views, lots of seats along the way.

Beautiful walk around the headland overlooking some stunning scenery. Easy stroll not hard pathways secure, can venture out to several areas that you can see the ocean closer. Bus from the jetty to the order easy.

Amazing walk. It's on a well maintained boardwalk. Some steps but very very easy, suitable for most people's fitness. Dogs friendly. You'll see plenty of whales beach and having fun during the wheels watching season. We also saw stingrays, a turtle 🐢, hundreds of dolphins 🐬 riding waves 🌊. Beautiful beaches, lots of vegetation, plenty of gorgeous lookouts.

Beautiful walk! Saw so many huge turtles! Its mating season(Nov to Mar), so theres more of them swimming to the shore to lay eggs. Would love to spend a few days here to fully explore the island inland other than just the North Gorge Walk. Btw, this walk does not have entrances to the beach. There's a separate walk to the beach to the right of the entrance of this walk.

Really nice walk along the cliffs at north Stradbroke Island with magnificent panoramic views of the ocean and gorge. The timber walkway is well maintained and safe and there are areas open along the cliff tops for people to explore if they wish (with signs warning of potential dangers etc).

Fantastic ocean walk where you can see turtles, whales and dolphins. It's true an amazing walk. Just go early to avoid the heat of the summer sun.

Must do while on North Stradbroke Island, easy walk, with well defined walking paths. Spotted Dolphins, Ray’s and Turtles from the bluff. Free entry 🤩
