UPDATE I changed my review from 3 to 5 stars. I’ve been using the facility for years now, throughout pregnancy, have my healthy baby and I can confidently say Airport Women’s Hospital is one of the best if not the best in Ghana. Just make thorough enquiry by and choose a plan/ doctor/ routine that works best for you and relax because you will be in great hands. Overall Airport Women’s Hospital is one of the few private 24/7 hospitals with well experienced medical doctors and professionals who are easily accessible in Accra, Ghana. Staff are friendly and caring (well 90% of them) Pros: 1. Open 24/7 2. Modern facility with all medical amenities 3. Well experienced doctors easily accessible. 4. Very good customer service. I really like 80% of the staff especially Jennifer at the front desk (Some staff have rude tendencies and sometimes self check). 5. Some doctors provide thorough and excellent services when they are not in a hurry. Cons 1. Possibility of a basic/ mediocre consultation/ service is high. Sometimes if you don’t ask for things, you will not get them even if necessary. I always thought there has got to be something better after most appointments. You won’t be given medical reports, scans and even sometimes medical explanations and guidelines until you ask for them. In comparison to Egon German doctor, I will give Airport Women’s Hospital 3 stars(actually 2). 2. Does not run on appointments. Long wait You will meet several patients who arrived before you and have to wait for several hours to see a doctor like a basic public hospital; even during this COVID 19 era. Very inconvenient. 3. Doctor inconsistency You could just end up with a new doctor every now and then even if you arrive at a predetermined time to see a particular doctor. Very frustrating. 4. The parking space and customer ratio is poor. There was a time I had to wait over 30mins for cars who had parked behind mine to move before I could move my car. 5. Some few staff tend to be rude/ blunt or unhelpful . I could name 3 instances I waited too long or was tossed around in search of information, service or a drug subscription that was omitted because a staff was reluctant to help or gave poor/ wrong information. Some staff urgently need customer service training.

Although we waited for a while, it was worth it. The facility is clean and Doctor Carol was amazing and courteous. The staff were professional. As a man, they made it comfortable to be within a women's hospital.

Terrible waiting time! They do not follow appointments..so many people can book for a particular time hence the long waiting time.. please work on it..Also in this day and age I wasn’t expecting the hospital to be writing in books for record keeping..what if my file gets missing? Please switch to a modern way of doing things.thank you

I'm disappointed they have the courage to call themselves a specialized hospital. There's nothing that merits the name over there. I just wasted my time and transportation imagine tarvelling all the way from Liberia camp to that place. Instead of running a test on me the doctor just assumed and I had to waste money treating something that wasn't there, the doctors too don't have time.to educate their patients. Even a general hospital is better than this

The staff work as if they are doing clients a favour …very distasteful attitude. it’s as if everyone don’t seem to know why they are there, they just need to make an appearance…very much disappointed in thier services

Had a misunderstanding at my appointment but the Airport womens hospital Brand ambassador took the time out of her day to give me a call and apologise on behalf of the situation, she was very caring and respectful, very understanding and catering. . I went back to the hospital and met her in person, the female staff were still very rude and I got put off coming back anytime soon and people have an issue telling you prices of things. I was told to get a blood test to go to the laboratory and be told I have to pay 1.300 for my tests. The nurse who called me into my appointment was rude and only started smiling and being nice when the ambassador came in and said something. I’m honestly disappointed because when I left I messaged the ambassador expressing my disappointment and I have not had a reply since. Part of me feels like the meeting was just damage control. I will not be recommending this place to my work colleagues as there has been so much disrespect and hassle. I’ve now decided to go back to London as I feel I would rather fly back to somewhere I know I will be respected and valued. I honestly feel like the females here treat foreigners badly and it’s a shame because it’s a woman’s hospital they should be more compassion and empathy for one another. This hospital amongst a few other places has really put a bad taste in my mouth about Ghana .

My daughter in law was admitted to the hospital for one day observation. The night nurses will not answer call bells. One nurse got the nerves to argue when questioned why not responding to patients call lights(bells). The place is nice. Poor nursing services.

Great place with good prospects. Fantastic doctors except for the high patient to doctor ratio. It takes more than 2 hrs and 30mins before a doctor will attend to a patient with just one GP on duty. AWH can do way better!!!

I was highly impressed with my first visit. My OB/GYN, Dr. Enin is amazing! The staff are friendly, neat environment. I highly recommend AWH to anyone seeking maternity care.

It’s high time they digitized their systems. As a pregnant woman I visited the hospital two weeks ago and I’m here today and my folder cannot be found. I’ve been sitting for the past two hours waiting for them to find my folder so the doctor can attend to me which is very bad and disappointing. If they had all these details both manually and digitally captured an issue like this would not occur. It’s very disturbing.

You don't want to waste your time there. I was given drugs I really reacted to. I went back to report it because I was feeling so sick. Probably because I wasn't rolling on the floor or whatever, I sat there for hours unattended only to later find out myself that the said doctor had an emergency. I wonder if they have just one doctor. Funny enough, those whom I met were all attended to by different doctors and even those who came after me. I'm so disappointed with their poor communication and care.

We loved the service that was provided to me. The ensured to call me to remind me of the time of my appointment before the date. I love the fact that the hospital was very clean and the staff was extremely nice.

Staff are very friendly and professional. Anytime I visit, all I see are fresh babies with their mum. Dr Enin is one of the best OBS/GYN have visited, really take personal interest in his patients.

Don’t be deceived, most of these 5 star reviews are fake. They are known for being extremely unprofessional. There is currently a lawsuit against them after their carelessness caused the death of a baby. As of December 2nd, 2023, more information can be found on tv3’s instagram channel (tv3_ghana).
