No Stars!! Got there at 4pm to check in, they only had smoking rooms, I reserved non smoking. So they said the need to clean a room to come back after 6pm. Got there that night and NO one was at the front desk!! Mind you I paid ahead of time. Waited and waited, finally called and called no one answered, then called the reservation number and they tried calling, they didn’t get nothing.. all they could say is I can get refunded or transfer the room 30min away IF they even had a room there.. by that time over 45min waiting that call got disconnected and I had to call back and go over everything again to new person.. didn’t get anywhere.. more and more people are coming but could not get any help either.. so I had to end up leaving and trying to find a room at last min finally finding one for double the about because it was so late already.. Bad Night in Santa Maria!!

I paid extra for a fridge and microwave and didn't get it. The AC didn't work and blew out hot air. The floor was nasty and sticky. When I asked what they could do the lady at the desk said nothing but MAYBE a discount. Worse experience I've ever had.

I came into this reservation knowing exactly what a good motel 6 location offers- this is not one of those location. I’m appalled. To start off light, the $130 “queen” bedroom I reserved was a full. The bedside table was ripped from the wall and on the ground in pieces so you know something went down. I was assured “not to worry about being charged” because there was broken furniture in my room; thanks??? BUT WHAT REALLY SENT ME RUNNING OUT THE DOOR was when I grabbed the ice bucket, only to find a dirty pair of pink women’s underwear in the ice bucket. This place is disgusting, I’m positive no one cleaned the room and it is literally in shambles. A disgrace to motels, I will never go to a motel 6 again.

Motel 6 Santa Maria is by far the best in the area with great prices. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Even the bathroom was impressive! Kudos to the housekeeping staff! Check in was fast and easy and the staff is amazing! The young man that checked us in early in the morning was very knowledgeable, courteous, and amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure we got what we needed upon arrival. I would definitely recommend this location to friends and family. Fresh brewed coffee in the morning along with a smiling face to greet you is also nice for a change. The location is great easy freeway access, restaurants nearby within walking distance. I couldn't ask for more! Thank You Motel 6 Santa Maria-Broadway!👍🙂

Front dear assistant was very sweet, welcoming and helpful. Location was perfect right off the freeway and NEXT to a Harley dealership, which if you don’t like loud bike don’t do it but we did! Very close to DTSM. Overall, clean and great location.

Sound barrier is needed for Motel 6 and Holiday Inn & Suites on North Broadway as traffic noise does not allow guests to rest in either hotel which is next to the 101 freeway Southbound on ramp and sound barrier wall is needed to block the traffic noise. I had stayed in the Motel 6 in North Santa Maria last week and the traffic noise did not allow for good sleep not only for myself, but the other guests in Motel 6 and the Holiday Inn & Suites next door. Please have the City of Santa Maria fix this problem in order for visitors to have a pleasant stay in your city. Thank you

Sure the room had some issues but it’s priced accordingly. The staff was great. I brought my concerns to the front desk the morning of check out and they granted me a discount. The rooms are a 3 star but the service is 5. Thanks a lot George and Maria (I hope I recalled your names correctly because I am terrible w names). Definitely recommend for the proletariat travelers of the world. Safe travels

This hotel asked for a review to check in early for free so I’m following up to edit it post-visit. The staff is very kind but the property is in shambles. My room was not actually cleaned before I got in and I requested someone come by to clean it and swap the linens which they did fairly quickly. The door had to be kept locked with a latch hook because it wouldn’t stay closed on its own. The parking lot was dicey. For an extra $30 there are nicer hotels literally across the street.

The staff were great and very respectful, the disability room was small and did not fit wheelchair and the floor in the shower was caved in. The debit card reader did not work and we had to scramble cash for two nights.

This stay was pretty good. Pets are allowed so that was great. Dont motels realize that most pets are cleaner and do less damage than many children nowadays! The women in the office are great! Kind and helpful ad can be. Few of the maids were polite with pretty smiles. They didn't speak much English though. In this town Spanish is the language most spoken now so it's my bad for not learning it. The manager is not a happy man. I said hello one day and he gave me a look like I was crazy. I grew up on this side of town but boy, has it changed. Some say it's not safe but i didn't have any problems. Overall, nice Motel 6 and i will probably be back

This Is The Second Time we have to wait for the rooms to be clean so they can give us a key. The first time we waited almost 4 hours and this time, us and other people are waiting more and 1 1/2 hours for the rooms to be clean and they can provide us a key. Front Desk clerk needs more training, we understand he is frustrated for all the questions but Laughing after every single word he says it's not appropriate as customers are thinking he is just making fin of the situation.

Room smelled like smoke. No discount provided. No other room provided. Just had to suffer through the night. Do not recommend this hotel at all. It’s a dump. The smell is stuck in all my clothes. Have to go visit family and can’t smell like smoke.

We had an extended stay at this hotel and I have to speak about a few things that we experienced that may help you in deciding where to stay when you come to Santa Maria. - I cannot speak any higher of the office staff (Anna, Zasha, Sam, Christian, Alphonso…). They are quick to greet you with a sincere smile and are knowledgeable and responsive to any need you may have. - The housekeeping staff is top notch! They work hard and it shows in the cleanliness of the rooms, the linens and the tidiness of the necessities. - The facilities are obviously an important part of the guest experience. The guys who take care of the hotel grounds are constantly moving, cleaning, organizing, repairing… and, it shows. - Safety is a huge determining factor for me when staying at a hotel. I have never felt unsafe at this hotel. General manager Gilbert has a terrific staff at this hotel. It is apparent that he cares about the experience of each guest and has set high expectations of his careful chosen staff to ensure consistent service across all departments. Thank you!

We stay at this location 1-2 times per week when my husband is on call at the local hospital. Close to freeway exit. Staff are incredibly kind, helpful and so courteous! Rooms are clean and comfy. Highly recommend!

Super small rooms and no insulation. Had a good laugh when the room next door had a bowl movement. Heard the whole thing and the lady telling their room mate "do NOT go on there 😒. Right next to the 101 so heard the traffic all night. Staff was great though. Earned them an extra 🌟. You might want to bring your own soap as well. They provide 2 slivers of soap that would not have been enough for 2 people.

Everybody in the office was super helpful, friendly, and welcoming. They had a huge line out the door for check in around 4pm the day of our stay. But we were added on a list for check in once clean rooms were available. Although stressed, they did everything with a friendly attitude and gave us a call when they were ready to check us in. Check in was fast once we came back from our concert. 10/10 will stay again.

Service and locations are amazing! Can hear a little through the walls but not too bad considering they also had to listen to my almost 2 year old! Cleanliness I felt could have been better and more thorough. I did a little extra cleaning on my own the first day I stayed since I would be there for a week! But no major issues which I'm always grateful!

One of the best customer service to have ever been provided from any hotel location that I stayed at. Sasha and Anna went above and beyond to help me out when I needed it the most. One of a kind people you never meet on an everyday situation!

Anna at the front desk is by far one of the kindest, helpful person we have ever experienced. She makes the check in process so quick & always has the most beautiful smile on her face. It’s the service you get at a 5 star hotel.

Location isn't great - right off the freeway, there's a bulletproof check in window, and there was a lot of activity in the parking lot. However, the rooms and bathrooms have been renovated and everything is kept very clean. Hot coffee in the office in the morning.

We were there for 8 days and had to change rooms half way thru our stay. When we got back at 10pm Monday night he electricity was turned off. They were going to change the air conditioning in the whole building and we had to be out that night! The only way they tried to contact us was to call our room and knock on the door. What would have happened to our things if we had stayed all night at our friends?! The only handicapped rooms they had were in the building they closed for renovation. Why did they not tell us this was going to happen when we booked? They put us in another non-handicap room, but the mattress in both rooms were terrible. Like sleeping on a half deflated air mattress!

This charming motel 6 has a great staff, including a lovely security guard who patrols frequently and efficiently at night. I stayed longer than intended but quite enjoyed my time there.

The room was okay the bed had a few stains and the bathroom 2nd light did not work. The ac vents was filthy u can literally wipe dust off them and the people above us was so loud at night...

Let's remember above all, it's a motel 6. The pros and pluses... Very comfortable bed, clean sheets, room smelled good and fresh, the location was right off the freeway which made getting up in the morning and continuing our road trip a huge plus, very close to stores to get something to eat and supplies for our trip. No extra charge for us packing our dog along. In fact they even had a pet area to take care of business. The cons and the minuses... The AC barely worked. Bookings.com advertised this place had a bathtub and it did not and the front desk host said none of the units have tubs. I do daily voluntary Epsom therapy soaks for my arthritis and legs especially. No tub no soak. No fridge no microwave. No coffee in the room. But again like I mentioned in the beginning it's a motel 6. If it's clean and sanitary especially the bed, the shower is adequate and clean, and the location is not in crime alley It's an automatic five-star rating for a motel 6. They're not trying to be the Hilton or the Ramada inn. You're driving like a madman down the road trying to make mileage trying to get to Southern California or wherever you're going and you get tired and you just want a comfortable bed you can fall into fall asleep and then get up take a shower have a cup of coffee and get back on the road. Motel 6 does this and they did it for about a hundred bucks but again we were in Southern California most times it's a 65 to $80 purchase. I highly recommend the Santa Maria California motel 6. The people there work very very hard and the host at the front desk was awesome. I prepaid he got me in and I was resting in my room 13 minutes after I pulled into the parking lot.

This was the ONLY place available within 50 miles for a last-minute stay, so we didn’t have much of a choice, and I will give credit where it’s due to their pricing algorithm that somehow managed to get us to pay $250 for a night here. We were placed in a smoking room despite saying we did not want one, which was a bummer. The room was tiny, dirty, paint peeling, etc but it did have clean linens and towels. The staff was really friendly. Walls were thin and we heard everything our neighbors were doing. Overall I wouldn’t come here if I had literally any other option, but if you don’t, you’ll survive.

Room was really clean, walls and ceiling are pretty thin. But it wasn't bad overall for the price. The staff were all very inviting and kind, had 3 different interactions with 3 different employees and they were all great.
