Wonderful flavor in every bite. They definitely nailed the atmosphere, it feels like you are in San Louisiana Obispo.

I've only eaten here once, but I'm already hooked. The catfish po boy was delicious, can't wait to try the shrimp Po boy. They have Abita on tap. Atmosphere was fun and cozy, and the service was excellent!

We enjoyed a homey brunch at Bon Temps. All good was prepared to order and done well. The omelette was fluffy and the creole sauce was earthy and balanced its spices. The grits with fried green tomatoes were beautiful. All fried foods (i.e., tomatoes, eggs and potatoes) were prepared without loads of grease and done to a lovely golden crisp. The pancakes are PERFECT but only offered weekdays. Indoor and outdoor dining were not busy, so the environment was lovely to dine in.

Pleasantly surprised. Older rustic looking building with older looking outdoor patio. The rustic look spans the entire restaurant inside and out. Menu has a great selection of creole dishes. The food was fantastic. The plates were put together as if they were pieces of art. Everything was hot and fresh. The sweet cornbread was excellent. The service was excellent. Our server, I'm sorry I've forgotten her name, was very friendly and attentive to our needs. I would recommend everyone giving this place a try as you will find yourself repeating your visit over and over.

Got seated quickly on a Sunday afternoon. Live music was a nice touch. Dog friendly patio. Mimosa was stiff. French toast wad drenched in their special syrup. Jambalaya could have had a bit more flavor. Faitdodo with hash browns offered a nice texture. Corn bread and biscuit were also good.

Best biscuits and gravy I've ever had!! There was a wait to be seated when I went on a Sunday morning but it was well worth it. Dogs are allowed on the patio (for better or worse) and they had an acoustic duo playing lovely music. Food and atmosphere were the very definition of brunch!

Brought friends who were visiting from out of town and my wife and I had never been so we figured give it a try. After we walked in the door I was happy with the music, left me feeling like I was in Louisiana right away. The building was definitely showing its age but looked well decorated and clean. The staff was super friendly and she put up with our questions and jokes. The food was really fantastic and the coffee was good and strong, very good quality. My wife and I will come back soon for the vegan jambalaya and other dishes we could not try in just one visit. BTW a friend told me the corn bread was very good, very true! A must have as well as the coffee! Thank you for being awesome!

Had an omelet that was out of this world. Very short on time so I got the food to go. Would love to go back and experience the place when I can sit down and enjoy the atmosphere. Great looking place.

Absolutely delicious food & friendly staff. Best breakfast in SLO by far!

I really didn't like the waitress. It seemed like a bother that I asked for no grits and no biscuit and for a box when I had leftovers. Food was good. Not a place to go if you are looking for healthy options.

With all the great reviews for this place I wonder if there is another Bon Temps that I mistakenly went to. Nope, this is the same one When I tried my bloody Mary and the cornbread I was excited because they were both great. But unfortunately it went downhill fast after that. We ordered seafood gumbo and fried shrimp salad. I'm not exaggerating when I say there wasn't even a slight taste of Creole or spiciness in either dish.Nada. It tasted like I would expect something from Denny's to taste like. Furthermore, seafood gumbo is supposed to be thick with fish. Take a look at the picture. Then Google a picture of seafood gumbo. Quite a difference, no? We were really looking forward to this place. Unfortunately it didn't work for us.

For breakfast all options were made with eggs and I wanted something else, so I got Pain Perdu French toast. I’d recommend it if you’re sweet tooth. There was too much maple syrup, but it was delicious overall. The service wasn’t great though.

Gem in SLO. My family and I have been going to Bon Temps for breakfast for about 2 years. The food is always good. Priced mid to higher side of average but you won't find this food experience anywhere else in the area. I recommend ordering the French Toast as an appetizer and share it with everyone at your table.

Freaking delicious, lovely service, and plenty of shaded outdoor seating with good airflow. Easy free parking, too.

If you haven’t been here, stop in and try it out! Such a fun atmosphere, food is great, and the drinks are on point! I usually get the shrimp creole. It’s great and just the right amount of spicy!

Bon Temps Creole Cafe is a very cozy establishment that provides great food and a very lovely dining experience. When I went for lunch, they had live music out in the patio, and it really brought another level to the experience. My friend and I greatly enjoyed our time listening to the music while we ate! I also absolutely love their hot sauce made in-house!! Perfect for anyone looking for a great breakfast or lunch venue that is just outside of downtown SLO!

Great outdoor seating option, had live music when we had dropped by for brunch, food is a tad bit bland for cajun cuisine, great service, easy to find parking nearby and very very dog friendly.

This restaurant is a gem. We make a point to dine here every time we come to town. Literally everything I’ve ever tried has been fabulous. You can’t go wrong for breakfast.

Delicious! The live band they had on Sunday morning was perfect. They definitely did a good job of getting the right environment and the food is delicious! Not over done, it tastes like true home cooking

Yummy Seafood Gumbo and Fay Doe Doe out on the dog friendly patio. Such colorful food, and they had live music, too. Great cornbread and butter.

Unfortunately this most recent visit was very disappointing. We are pretty regular here but hadn't visited in a couple months. When we arrived we were greeted and seated immediately. However, after we had ordered it took an hour and a half to receive our food. The restaurant wasn't busy which made us sad. The meal was warm but seemed like it had sat. During the wait, I decided to just get up and request a refill of soda. Not our typical experience but I fear that since they are looking for a line cook, that could have been the reason for the delay. There was plenty of wait staff though which was nice to see, just not helpful inside the restaurant. Such a bummer.
