Close to the airport but now surrounded by a government-funded slum which unfortunately detracts from the experience. The clerk at the front desk kept telling me to please wait 10 more minutes until they had a room available. 2 hours later, I was finally allowed to get a room. The bathrooms in the lobby were unusable as they looked and smelled like they hadn't been cleaned up since the day before. The restaurant closes at 11 pm. No food or drinks after that time. Not even ice. Facilities are well kept and the hotel is really nice. The staff is super professional and attentive as is expected in a Marriott hotel. The pool is nice and you have the option to get a "bungalow" (some sort of awning or tent) which includes snacks and refreshments. Beds are ultra super comfortable and that's probably the best part of the room (mine didn't have a view). Pillows are huge too. Room was pristine clean but they do warn you that they don't change sheets unless asked, so keep that in mind. Overall a mixed experience with unacceptable things like 2 hours waiting in the lobby, dirty lobby bathrooms and no food or ice after 1 pm but somewhat compensated with a super friendly staff and nice facilities. 10/10 would not stay again.

I am here for business. It is a good hotel with meals, being safe and lovely workers. Especially, Domingo who is so friendly and helpful guy in the breakfast service, welcomes us with a smile. Thank you for this nice experience. :)

Dated, not well kept (poor maintenance at a beach hotel) and extremely expensive. I'm a Marriott fan, Bonvoy member and all, but this is a No Go.

Simply one of the best hotels in La Guaira, it’s close to the airport, the beach and Caracas. The service it’s magnificent. The rooms are super clean, comfy and have great views. The breakfast and food in general is 10/10. I had a great experience.

Service was good but 4 things that are upsetting is that they ring up your whole stay ahead of time and then they close the account. You have to reopen it with ur credit card or pay as you go which caused separate bills for meals and a separate bill for laundry so then you get at least 3 different credit card charges which for expenses it is a pain. I left the hotel at 5 AM for 7 AM flight but there was no front desk person at that time which means I could not get a bill till 2 days later. Not sure why not the same day that I departed. 2 other major issues is that the hotel website via Marriott mentions a Airport shuttle which is not true. Also not mentioned is that one does not receive Marriott points unless one pays in dollars. This really upset me since it only gets mentioned at check in and nowhere else. Not sure of any other countries where this occurs The hotel does have a good menu selection, but the breakfast buffet never changed in the 6 nights I spent there

It maybe a good hotel for Venezuale but it is under the average for World wide standards. First of all, the prices are so expensive for Venezuela, they charge 8 $ for a can of coca cola. Language barrier is another problem that most staff can not speak english and there are also some staff pretending to speak English. When you don't communicate properly for a simple food order and you get the wrong food they become aggressif. İf you stay in this hotel you should have change. Last night during my stay I gave 20 $ for the food but they didn't have 8 $change. At the check out reception said they are not informed and they didn't give me my money back. Also if you have a package including free food or beverages, they say they don't have the complimentary food and tries to sell something else. Rinally, Pool was very dirty.

Check in takes way too long. No hair dryer in the room. This is not a Marriot standard.

Rooms needs a bit of updating, however considering this is Venezuela it actually went above my expectations. All staff were very friendly and many can speak good English. Laundry was done very fast, breakfast exceed my expectations. Nice looking swimming pool and even nicer beach in front of the hotel.

200usd per night is totally over priced with the service received. Breakfast area doesnt have enough tables, so if you go in busy hours act fast as your table has a new owner when you return taking another coffee. Even is Marriot there is little or no english from staff. I had unlucky with my room, keys constantly doesnt work, had to change room after maintenance tried everything to repair the locks. Going back and fort to reception during night time is not what i call 5 star service.

Hotel is nice with the facilities but the workers at the restaurant reply very late... Dont bring the order earlier than 1 hour. Food could be better if they wanted to.

Great place, exactly what you expect from a Marriott for that price. They have a nice outside terrace to eat, and a nice pool

We had problems with rooms. They gave us occupied rooms and then a room without proper maintenance (used). The third attempt was a success.
