👍 Great little shopping centre was very quiet and looked relatively empty. Went to a couple of shops and was pleased to find what I was after. People often mention shops, shopping, centre, park, parking, Primark, good, empty, open, Winchester,

Tired centre, needs bringing into the 21st century. The centre needs to be fully occupied. 2 stars awarded in 2018. December 2019. Since the refurbishment the centre has improved Calendar club shop is seasonal, and usually close in most centres in January. New look shop looks as though it will possibly close in the near future. Then there will be two vacant shops. The shopping centre has been refurbished, the former open entrances are now able to be closed. The cleanliness has now vastly improved as the roosting pigeons no longer have access to the upper level ( non shopping ) . New shops have been added, TKMAX for example are already trading with others to follow. When fully open may merit 4 stars.

Visited Winchester for the Xmas Market a few weeks ago. This was one of the only places to park that wasn't full. The car parking itself was fine. However, the shopping centre had a few empty shops and it wouldn't be somewhere that I would go to to browse shops. I would only go there if there was one particular shop that I wanted to go to.

Handy little carpark in Winchester where parking generally is limited in supply. Can't stay late it locks at 1730 and shopping center entrance closes at 1630. Cheap on Sunday £2 all day

Severely lacking in any life. It works as a car park, it works as a space for shops to use as units, but there's no sense of 'shopping experience' at all here. It would be so much more effective with some interesting independent shops

There is something missing. Perhaps it's the lack of food, but this place just seems to lack the buzz of a shopping mall. It's small, and it has a convenient car park for the city, but that is about it. But there are some good cafes very close by.

I required a disabled space. Not wide enough to open driver's door and get out, I struggled, inadequate for someone needing a wider space. The bonnet of my car on photo and the two bins give good actual spacing, not good.

Like all shopping centres has had a few ups and downs, losing its 2 biggest tenants with others following. Has now been able to find good replacements for the major areas along with some worthwhile new tenants for the other shops. All in all seems to be looking up

I would probably cut my throat rather than park in there again. If you drive anything bigger than a Fiat Punto (I do) then trying to park then open you door to get out in undersized slots is nigh on impossible. Whoever designed this car park obviously used Dinky toys and forgot to scale up. The Centre has a wide range of cheap shops ranging from Primark to TK Max. Good luck if you park there and even better luck trying to get out. You'll see what I mean if you don't remember this review.

Not great, but then never has been 🤔🤦. I remember when it was first opened, it seemed outdated then; feels half baked, half used now. HMV and the nerdy comic store are welcome additions to Winchesters flagging high street, Sports direct and Primark are your best 'big hitters', these are a much needed addition to Winchester in terms of differentiation.

Visited here during our weekend stay in Winchester. It provides a modest shopping experience. It's not overly large. However, the selection of shops is fairly average, lacking any particularly standout or high-end stores. There is parking available within the shopping centre which is helpful. While it might not boast fancy or luxurious brands, it does cover the basics, offering a range of everyday shopping options. The convenience of finding essentials within a compact space might appeal to some visitors. Yet, for those seeking a more diverse or upscale shopping experience, this might fall short of expectations.

When the weather outside is frightful inside is just as delightful. So outside was -2°C inside its just about the same inside too. Otherwise there are a few shops to chose from but not a lot going on. Good place to go though

If you want a HMV, Primark, Work or the Entertainer it's the place for you otherwise there isn't much else here

Decent shopping centre with a range of shops including Primark, HMV, Waterstones and The Entertainer. More accessible for disabled people than most shopping centres.

Small shopping arcade with TK Maxx and Primark as the biggest occupants. There is a car park with lift access to all floors with exits that are wheelchair and mobility scooter accessible. There is also a Shop Mobility office.

Odd car ark and shopping centre - very few shops and can;t decide if it's indoors or outdoors as seemingly constructed around the car park elevators. Car park itself has VERY ticght spaces and corners especially at the exit - many scars attest to difficulty from other drivers - almost impossible to turn to exit without reversing and adjusting postition - would not recommend, use one of the open air car parks instead - much easier!

So very sad to see that alot of the shopping centre is empty. I counted at least 4 vacant shops while I was there. The only jobs that seem to be there are big chain shops. Winchester really needs to sort this out and make it more affordable for small business and start ups to attract more people. Plus the underground parking is so shockingly tight. Your car is definitely going to get hit with other people's car doors.

Small array of shops with good selection and ample parking would be higher score if shops were not vacant

  • 2/5 CONSTANZA ANDREA RÍOS Z. 11 months ago on Google
I think this place could have potential but it's almost dead. I went there and visited TK Maxx and Primark. I don't know if it's the architecture of it, but it's not pleasant.

Good place to park for easy access to central Winchester. Has access to Primark, TK Maxx, HMV, and several other shops. Access to Winchester High Street out the side of the shopping centre.

After spending 30 minutes during May Day bank holiday driving looking for parking around, found lots of spaces in the Brooks carpark. Didn't spend any time in the Brooks shops so can't comment about the shopping experience.

Good parking. After spending 30 mins looking during May bank holiday Monday went to the Brooks Carpark ... convenient location with loads of spaces :-)

If this place wasn't dead before, it is now. Toy Entertainer aside, there is no need to come in here besides parking. It is such a shame. I feel the owners should reduce Rents and fill the units with Local Shops. Being a major footfall transit route, from the Multi Storey, this 'Gateway to the City Centre, is now embarrassing for a city of Winchesters stature.

  • 3/5 Doug H. 1 year ago on Google
Very dated, overpriced parking (same as the rest of the UK. Very slow small lifts that many able bodied want to take instead of taking the stairs which are right next to the lifts. Toilets only on one level. Very small place

  • 1/5 Peter C. 1 year ago on Google
The only reason for visiting the Brooks shopping centre is the car park which is very convenient for the town, there are very few shops open in the centre probably due to rent and rate increases in the past forcing many stores to close.

  • 1/5 Glenda P. 1 year ago on Google
Very disappointing, dull, dreary, dirty looking, empty shops. toilets out of order, but no signs to say so, loads of people being told toilets were there, getting there only to find lots of annoyed and desperate people!

  • 3/5 Christine J. 1 year ago on Google
During a visit, I needed a disabled toilet. I headed to the shopping centre certain I would find toilets there, but no. It's very small with just a few shops some were not open. Would not visit again.

Great shopping centre in Winchester with shops such as TKMaxx, Primark, The Works, The Point, ballerina experts, a vintage clothes shop, Waterstones and many more. Parking is available underneath and it leads out to the main high street for more shops and cafes.

  • 5/5 Matty Z. 7 months ago on Google
This is always a very clean place, great shops & has opened alot more shops like the works & shakeaway & tk over the years but overall its a very clean & tidy establishment.

What's still open has good quality stock levels and efficient service however the high street in general where ever you go is going down the toilet, enjoy whatever shops you can guys before it's all online and we're sitting in fancy over priced computer chairs getting massively obese!!! Nothing wrong with weight by the way I'm just pre warning those who like to explore and visit random shops...the end is nigh

The Brooks was brilliant 10 years ago but now with so many store closures it is less interesting. Our favourite stores are Waterstones, TKMaxx & Primark! The underground car park is really convenient & not expensive compared with Reading or Newbury. We also park @ Brooks for regular trips to the historic cathedral! Enjoy your shopping experience @ Brooks!

Think very dull experience. Didn't really get a great shopping experience, probably only go into there if really had to, even parking is very squashed in

  • 4/5 B G. 2 years ago on Google
Not brilliant but also not dreadful. Is kept clean, though the public toilets can be off putting when it's busy.

  • 1/5 Michelle T. 2 years ago on Google
Extremely expensive to park £15 to park for just over 4 hours And there no price list any where visible. And the design is so outdated and very tight closed in parking. I wouldn't be parking here again.

  • 4/5 Ray R. 5 years ago on Google
Parking is expensive in the carpark and quite a lot of shopping units are empty in the shopping centre. There is a New Look and a Primark in here. Toilets. Great to walk out of the centre as not far to all major attractions, cathedral, castle etc.

  • 3/5 Helen C. 2 years ago on Google

Didn't get to go inside. Thats where my wife told me I wasn't invited to the meal and I so I got the bus home which was conveniently right across the street. Very Sad and confusing day but at least the bus was on time.

  • 3/5 Elisabeth C. 1 year ago on Google
Good parking underneath but still too many empty shops since New Look and HMV left.

  • 3/5 Bee B. 1 year ago on Google
Parking very handy for central Winchester and prices reflect the general cost of the town . Layout is outdated and tired . Empty units and nothing really stands out . Just in case you miss the 30 warning signs scattered about the car park closes in the evening ... they seem to make that very clear .

  • 4/5 Trevor M. 1 year ago on Google
Nice that there is no vehicles around, so you stroll around without worrying about cars running you over. Can get a bit busy at times.

  • 3/5 Stefan S. 1 year ago on Google
Not sure how some people are rating this as brilliant. Very very few shops inside or actually open. Has a nice comic book store but thats about it...its pretty dead and dying. There is more to do by walking down the main street. A lot of other towns nearby have shopping centers with more in them...

  • 5/5 Mark B. 2 years ago on Google
Very good shopping centre with a big selection of shops.

  • 3/5 Jim A. 2 years ago on Google
It is in Winchester. Car parking prices reflect this. The Centre itself has a variety of Shops. Either very reasonable (Primark, TK Max) or far more expensive.
